The Positive Psychology Workshop was life changing! Fortunately I have had the pleasure of taking multiple workshops and classes with Cortney over the last few years, and even more of a pleasure in calling her my sister! Not only does Cortney SHINE when facilitating her workshops, but she carries this energy and light through her daily life and interactions. Give yourself or someone you know the gift of enlightenment! You deserve it!

I can not thank Cortney enough for the time I spent with her. Her warmth and kindness shines through. I left feeling such peace. I look forward to a return visit for a future event or workshop.

Spending the day with Cortney to become certified in Reiki 1 was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to answer questions, and it was a perfectly relaxing and knowledgeable experience! The take home educational materials are so helpful, and I appreciate that once you take a course you still have access to Cortney to answer any further questions. I’ve been quite impressed with all of the offerings at SHINE. I don’t know of any other place near Kent, Ohio that has over 150 classes, workshops, and other trainings each year. I first met the owner, Cortney, a couple months ago at the SHINE open house. I was greeted with warmth by her, the other teachers, and the rest of the community. I really got to see Cortney shine as she instructed her most recent Reiki One certification class. She’s extremely passionate about Reiki, very knowledgeable on energy management, which makes her an expert in this field. After receiving the Reiki attunement, I know firsthand that this is not “woo-woo” pseudoscience since I felt the shift in my energy and experienced Reiki flow through me as I practiced with a fellow student. I highly recommend SHINE’s Reiki One for anyone wanting to better manage their own energy. I also recommend signing up for at least one of the many offerings at SHINE to experience the same warmth and energy that I have.

Nestled into a beautiful wooded space, this hidden gem lives up to its name and shines in every way! I enjoyed meeting Cortney prior to the training and absolutely loved the Meditation Training with Angela Kohler Shafer. Their offerings are incredible. I cannot wait to figure out my next adventure there!

The Mindfulness + Meditation certification workshop with Angela was just what I needed to feel supported in my personal meditation practice, as well as to give me confidence to share what I’ve learned with my own clients. So helpful.

I LOVE this space and community. The first time I came to SHINE was for a restorative yoga training. Since then I've been back for forest bathing, their festival, and other workshops. Not only is the space absolutely beautiful, but so are all the people connected to this community. Everyone has been welcoming and kind- the kind of community where I felt truly seen and held in safety and love. I can not recommend trainings and classes here enough.

I recently had the pleasure of taking the Yin yoga certification class with Natalie. What an amazing course on the foundations of Yin yoga! Natalie is an excellent, authentic, and fun instructor who brings it to life and provides every tool you need to teach it not only effectively but brilliantly, and - bonus - to fall head over heels in love with Yin. I highly recommend this course, even if you never plan on teaching, as it will deeply inform and enrich your personal practice. SO GOOD!

I took the Reiki I training with Cortney and I loved it! It was very professionally presented yet very laid back in it's atmosphere. I loved her energy and knowledge with how she explained everything. She not only talked about everything but provided resources to follow along and was great in how she interacted with the class, it felt very personable. I was so happy being in person because it allowed us to not only feel the energy of the room but allowed for hands-on practice at the end which was great. I highly recommend this class!

Cortney and her team have so many offerings - for all levels! The Shine retreats include a perfect balance of education, wellness, energy & healing.

I took the level 1 reiki training here and I was blown away by the experience. Cortney was amazing, her passion and enthusiasm alone was so inspirational. The class was well put together and organized. The facility was welcoming truly a place for healing. I will be attending many more of her classes and workshops!

What an amazing community that Courtney has created. Her wellness center is a place of inclusiveness, education and love.

She has an amazing ability to help guide you to the answers you are seeking.

She has created a safe space allowing this spiritual journey to become what you make of it and also making sure you are completely comfortable.

I didn't know what to expect the first time I met her or had my first Reiki massage- She was wonderful about making sure that I knew what was happening and felt at ease. I cant even begin to describe the feeling of gratitude and peace that overflowed in me after my session.

Since my first encounter, I have been back for Yoga classes, one on one coaching session, workshops, purchased her books (which are amazing) and attended Reiki 1 certification.

What ever you are looking for, beginners classes, yoga or you have an interest in diving deeper into and connecting with yourself there is something here for you.

What ever faith or religion you have it is always respected and you can incorporate it into this wellness process.

WOW what an amazing experience! I took the Reiki 1 training course last Saturday. Cortney is so welcoming and has such a warm and inviting energy to her. The training included a lecture and hands on portion. Everything was so interesting to learn about and I am eager to continue this journey and learn as much as I can. I've already signed up for Reiki 2 training. Highly Recommend!

Coming to the studio and the class was a great experience for me. Courtney is truly amazing. There was hot tea and snacks and blankets, very comfortable:). Usually sitting through hours of information, it can be hard for me to stay focused but during this training, she had my attention the whole time because she is a wonderful teacher! Everything makes so much sense to me and I literally had one of the best days and the toilet seats are heated!
