Shipman Tara A MD, Warren OH

Because I lived in East Palestine, an hour away, I went to Advanced women's care in Boardman. Due to the train disaster, I had to move back to Warren area and wanted to re-establish as a patient with Dr. Shipman. They told me because that was "local" that I COULD have gone to them even though it was an hour away! They will NOT take me back as a patient. No exceptions. This is WRONG! I moved away and now moved back. I wouldn't go back now if they even wanted me to with that kind of customer service treating me like a villian or something!

I love this Dr. I wish she was delivering babies when I had mine. She puts me at ease, answers my questions honestly and is just great.

Doesn’t listen to what you are explaining to her. I went to her last year and I Asked her for a pregnancy confirmation. I had gotten a positive and my period was way past due. She said it’s not a simple yes or no. The first thing she asked is do I plan on keeping it or do I want an abortion after I had been discussing trying for pregnancy months before. (She seems to be pro abortion) A few weeks later I was in terrible pain and I started bleeding vaginally. I called the office and made an appointment with shipman and she said everything looks to be okay to come back for another appointment after I reassured her I knew something was wrong. She also would not answer me a yes or no for the pregnancy continuing to say “it’s not that simple” after I left the appointment The pain got so bad I had to go to er. Turns out I was having a miscarriage. I never went back to her since. I changed doctors and I now go to Anthony Desalvo and they are amazing. I am due any day now for a lovely baby boy.
If I could give her 0 stars I would it was very traumatizing. Not to mention she double charged my insurance multiple times. I would not recommend this lady to anyone.

Tara makes the visit like meeting with an old friend. She puts u at ease and has good advice. Best GYN I ever had.

After many tries of finding an OBGYN that I liked and after many recommendations from friends, I decided to go to Dr. Shipman. The office is friendly and has a bunch of fun signs and pictures of all the babies once you go in the back. Dr. Shipman has been fantastic about answering all of my questions and explaining things in a way that you understand while also being caring. I was nervous for a procedure I had to have and she took the time to stop getting ready for it and explain what was happening. She also let me know what to expect once I get the results back. I have been to a few different OB/GYN and she is by far my favorite! She even asked if I wanted to come in to discuss the results of the tests after she knew I was anxious about everything. So far, I can’t say enough good things about her!

Dr Shipman is extremely caring. She takes time to make you comfortable. I would recommend her to anyone.

I went to this practice for my first son. They stopped delivering babies, so I went to a different doctor for my second. During my second delivery, they found a broken piece of a needle in me from my c section with Mondary and Cairns. Don’t trust them for anything.

This woman was an absolute nightmare of a doctor to deal with. Around 20 years old I started getting ovarian cysts, hot flashes, extreme excessive weight gain, etc. Obviously at that young of an age it's abnormal. I explained all of this to her & she told me it was because of my diet and that I was fine. She refused to change my birth control when I asked her to so I went to a different doctor. The doctor I saw after her told me her negligence was causing me symptoms of menopause. The doctor I saw after her changed my birth control and said it would fix the issue.it did. I will always recommend avoiding her as a doctor for anyone looking for an obgyn.

Shipman was very kind and sweet. I had a procedure done that didnt stop my problem and unfortunately ended up in UH of Cleveland. The problem is the doctors here need the pathology reports from her office and 3 days lat er r they have still not been sent. My blood count went down to 4.3 making it a life threatening situation. In this day and age of technology someone is really dropping the ball getting these reports sent.
