Mary cut my daughter’s hair and did a fantastic job. Both Mary and the environment she creates at Shire made my daughter so comfortable and happy. When we left, my daughter went on the whole drive home about how much fun she had and how cool and nice Mary was. Great experience and the chairs are so comfortable.

Mary always does a great job with my hair. She's easy to talk with, and gives excellent suggestions about what may work best for your hair type and the look you're going for.

The wonderful ladies at the Shire are the only people I let touch my hair! Everyone is so friendly and they go above and beyond to make sure your hair is perfect! I’ve been going to Mary for my hair since I was 13 and I love my hair every time! I always feel like a whole new person when I come out.

Shire is so welcoming to all the clients regardless as to which stylist you are there to see. The staff whole staff is very professional and nice. Shires is right up there next to Kenneth's salon on how they make all the clients feel special.
My stylist Myranda was able to squeeze me in on her schedule for the very next day. Myranda understood about my working schedule was making it difficult to make an appointment. Myranda did a wonderful job on my and gave me exactly what I wanted. This is such a great place!

I am in my 50s looking to transition to my natural hair color and let the inevitable happen, yes, going gray. I am not ready to do this, but it is time. Gabi is my stylist who was warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable and understanding of what I am looking to do I wanted to start putting gray highlights in my hair, Gabi tested my hair and the results wasn’t what we were hoping for, so she didn’t want to ruin my hair to achieve the look I was going for and that meant a lot to me. I was excited to know that the Shire is a safe space for the community and myself. The owner Mary is very cool and welcoming as well. I would most definitely recommend the shire for all of your hair needs. Thank you.

This is an amazing place and a designated safe space. Gabi is the sweetest girl and she cuts some amazing hair for me. I am older with silver hair and she does her best with this wirey-dry hair to play up my natural "highlights" and gives helpful suggestions on the grow-out process. This place is calm and unlike any salon i've ever been in with its laid-back and accepting feel. I would suggest this place to anyone and have already done so.

I have been going to Mary for about three years now, she is the BEST! From our first consultation to my regular visits, Mary is always kind, patient and the absolute best at what she does. I get cuts and color with Mary. My husband and three kiddos also go to Mary for sevice.

The Shire is such a hidden gem in Lancaster. Since I started seeing Mary so many people have asked who I go to, I will always recommend this establishment. Mary takes the time to curate exactly what you want. She takes into account your hair texture, health, etc instead of just doing a basic application that I’m used to at competing salons. I appreciate the thought process Mary uses with each of her clients. When I visited her for the first time I had come from another local salon that ended up giving me a cut and style that was opposite of what I had asked for. Mary was I incredibly compassionate and understanding, I was ready to write of hair salons but Mary gave me the confidence to continue to visit them

I have yet to have my hair appointment! But just by my consultation appointment I can easily tell I will be in great hands. Between the testing on a strand of my hair and the in depth questions of what I'm wanting; I feel very confident with this salon! I am very excited and hopeful for my hair appointment coming up

Ashlee does mine and my son's hair! We love going there! They make us feel at home and comfortable. They give honest advice on how to get your hair the healthiest it can possibly be! Will not go anywhere else!

I absolutely love this place and the vibes are immaculate! I seen Gabi and she did an amazing job on my hair! She also educated me on hair to take care of it after which I feel like sometimes people forget to include but not her! I quickly scheduled another appointment immediately after which I never do!
