Showplace Rent to Own - Marion

When I went there to purchase an item they told me one price that I pay a month and then when I went there to make my monthly payment it was a different price way more than it was expected

They keep putting me on autopay after I have discussed with them 3 separate times that I DO NOT consent to autopay and most of the time I pay a day or 2 early, they even charged me way over what I owed once and called it a “system error” I’ve gotten attitude several times and a whole lot of people not knowing how to do their job. I will be paying off my items early and in the future using a different company. Beware.

Love showplace! Last year my father died and they were so nice and understanding. I will continue to do business with them ️

So the store itself looks good, they have a great selection, they are very willing to work with you on overall pricing and down payment, but my major issue and one that I think is very misleading and poor business ethics is that the "optional VIP" subscription is not optional and will cost you 156 dollars a year. It is underhanded and really the only problem I have with the store. That's a lot of extra money each year you are stuck with it. The paperwork clearly states it is 100 percent optional, but going to the store they say it's mandatory. I won't be doing further business with them after I pay off my current purchase. Staff is pretty good. I wouldn't say bubbly, but helpful and quick. I prefer it that way and is the only reason I still gave 3 stars.

This is an asking place they all was come threw when I need anything I love the ppl there they have become family.

I spoke with Ann this morning and even though she took down my information and I spelled my name out for her, I was confused on how she forgot the A at the end. She still managed to incorrectly pronounce my name a total of 3 times. It honestly felt intentional and was rude.

Show place has amazing people that works there that loves helping people out and always love to get you in to any furniture or appliances that you may need stop in and see them the prices ain't hight or nothing!

We have been going to Showplace for about 10 years. The staff is very friendly and efficient. We have never had any issues with them. They will work with you!

I shopped with showplace several times. Way back when they first opened also, I purchased furniture, stereos, vcr, refrigerator and I couldn't tell you everything! Great customer service and if I need something else this will be the first place I go!

This is probably the best place in Marion to purchase a dishwasher and pay 5 times its value over a three year period. Ours still works great!

I had a fantastic experience when Christmas shopping for my grandkids at the Marion showplace store. Dan Lama was very knowledgeable and professional in helping me to get the perfect “ large gift” for the kids. The store was very well set up and inviting. The staff in general were very positive as well. I will certainly shop there again!
