Side Cut Metropark reviews
30As far as parks in NW Ohio, this is one of the cleanest, safest parks here. Rangers on regular patrol, right down from police station as well. Decent trails through old canals leading down to the river.
Spent the day walking in the river. Wear watershoes cause of the rocks. And look where you going so you don't step on lures left from fishing. We gather about 3 grocery bags full of string and lures left over. Amazing day for us
This is a beautiful place to wander around. We spent time at the playground, which our kids decided they never wanted to leave and then checked out the locks. We felt like we had entered into a different world. Extremely peaceful and easy to walk.
A great peaceful setting along the historic Maumee River. A place loaded with wildlife. The park is full of trails to either walk or bike, a play ground for the little ones, and a toboggan hill for ude in the winter time, complete with a fire ring to warm up on those cold winter evenings.
Great place love this park it's also a starting point for a long pathed bike trail good running trails also
A gem in Maumee. There is so much to explore and the natural beauty is amazing. Truly glorious. Lots of benches and covered areas you could have a picnic or family gathering. Open spaces for frisbee, soccer, games, or just lay out a blanket and chill.
Coolest park you can visit in all of northern Ohio. The flowing Maumee River is a real delight. A chill place in any season. I highly recommend taking some time to explore the park if you have the chance to get to Toledo.
I specially admire with this park in many ways. Kids play area, bike trail, pathway, Riverside, shelter and so on. I see sometimes people are booked professional photographers and taking photos here. During fall season these trees are amazing. I love it
Just recently started exploring this Metropark after many years living next to Wildwood Metropark (which I love) but this park is truly unique! It has so much to offer aside from the the great running/ hiking and biking trails! Lots of deer and pretty birds too.
An absolutely beautiful place to take a walk, sit peacefully or exercise etc.many off-shoot parks to park and play, walk the dog or hike/fish. There are picnic tables on some of the pull-off areas and some also have bench swings.
Love this Toledo Metropark. Nice trails, scenic river views. Plenty of seating along trails to stop and enjoy!
One of the best Metro Parks around. My son loves their playground and can spend hours playing there. Added bonus it’s all in the shade!
Great metropark to go to if you want to walk along the river. Several locals go here to run. This parks has several trails so if you're up for a really long walk this is the place to go.
My family and I LOVE this park! My 9 year old daughter loves walking the tow path along the river. So peaceful and serene.
Love this park. Lots of pretty places to walk, nice kids park. My husband proposed here! Great place with a very clean and safe feel and plenty of walking trails.
Nice park. Great place for a picnic. Had a fun time. Lots of areas to throw a baby shower or party.
Great park to visit. Lots of trails. You will see deer if you go to the river side of the park! Great family or date spot.
Side Cut is a great place to explore, with plenty of trails through the woods and along the Maumee river. There is a kayak launch on one of the small lakes there as well, and some old locks that used to take boats down to the river. Definitely a great place to take a walk or have a picnic.
Just a beautiful metropark along the Maumee river. Park your car along the river, watch the fisherman or fish see wildlife, birds, turtles, and if your lucky. In the evening you could see whitetail deer meandering about. Walk the paths or if you like cook up some burgers or dogs
