Sims Brothers Recycling reviews
8So nice helpes me unload my truck so I didnt have to get out. The woman in the office that takes your picture is so kind and nice. Only place I'll go.
I didn't like it at all they cheated my husband on his load of cut steel. Next time we will go someplace else.
WE ARE PROUD TO WORK WITH SIMS BROTHERS ESPECIALLY ALISSA SHE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND ON POINT
Probably the best place in Marion to take scrap. Their rewards program is one perk of this place. Just wish scrap prices were a bit better. Almost not worth it anymore.
I agree with a previous review I went to the normal processes of interviewing, filling out an application waiting for a response receiving a response setting up an interview.interview was good with Mike Transportation supervisor then the road test which was absolutely perfect then I was directed to human resources. Debbie in human resources talking to Debbie was pleasant, however when I showed up it wasn't as pleasant as it sounded on the phone.we had set up a signing process and she assured me would only Take 5 minutes. Because I wanted this job with Sims Brothers which was only 10 minutes away from my house, I asked her if there was any more time needed from me to take care of any thing other just signing which I am prepared to do, she assured me that this was only a signing process, and nothing more because she would have to schedule my DOT Physical and drug screening. So signing takes no more than 5 minutes. I told her that I will be stopping by on my lunch break to sign this paperwork.before signing took place I asked her again, is there any more time needed from me other than the signing process? I can come back on tomorrow to complete the signing if there is any more time required of me beyond the signing.today I am on a limited schedule from my part-time job she assured me 5-minute signing and nothing more at the end of my 5 minutes sign she then told me that it would take a half hour or 45 minutes to go to Occupational Health for a drug screening and Dot examination which I was prepared for but since I was on my lunch break with my part time job she told me that I could not be offered the position I felt that this was unfair and could have been alleviated before my signing of paper.she then accuse me of not being able to pass my drug screening and Dot examination at this point Place me in a do-or-die situation I had to make a sudden decision quit my two jobs for this ONE, or leave this situation as it was and hold on to the two positions that I had, I chose the latter to hold on to the two positions which I've had and forgo the position offered. I did this because I felt that she was not fair and open in describing what was required of me along with the fact that I was capable and perfect for the position that they were offering me now I am afraid that this will go against me as a drug test refusal. I don't want to call racism, but it's awfully funny how when she saw me that all of a sudden time was limited and everything needed to be closed by end of business day. Not to mention that I was refer to this job buy a temp employee which is my next door neighbor and having to tell him the situation was not only embarrassing for me but I'm sure for him as well. This whole application process I can say has been a first since I have 6 + years of professional truck driving history I have had my CDLs spotless and clean since 1997 and have never encountered a situation such as this highly disappointing. I would Love a response from the higher ups about this.
They process my crushed beer cans very quickly. Then they give me money to by more beer! Winning!
The HR Department of this company is inhumane and cruel. You are just a number to them, not a human being. They send you to a staffing firm AFTER they interview and offer you the position. You have to fill out an application at the staffing firm, pay for drug screens and background checks. After you get done with the staffing firm, you then have to do an application with the woman who runs Sims HR (who really needs to get over herself). She will also do a background check and believe me, they will go out of their way to dig up dirt on you so they can give you the boot, so beware. Moreover, the woman who runs Sims HR is not nice to work with, is short and rude in interoffice communications, who I did not find professional or easy to work with in the short time I was there. Very interesting.
Hired there in shop.let go cause i got sick.missed 2 days calledoff both days follwed there procedure called my supervisor like was supposed to.he didnt answer so.i. Left a message on his phone the 3 try and also called the human resource office spoke with them also like there pro edure called for and also called the staffing agency, they said you cant miss any days in your first 90 days of employment but a guy that started a week later then me missed a day and is still.there working ive come to the conclusion that it is cause his dad also works in shop that tells me its a good ole boy shop.and if your not in there click they push you out i dont recommend any body seeking employment from this company, management of shop plays favorites, the training is the guys way or no way and theres other ways of doing things, i feel he plays.favorites to
