Skateworld of Kettering reviews
27Good place for fun but they really need to update the equipment. I have lost a wheel once and a brake once.
I love ️ to roller skate ️ since I was a teenager. Skate world of kettering is a very nice skating place. So come on out and enjoy it! Take care and God bless ya'll! -Cornita Cassel.
Had my niece's birthday party here and she loved it. The neon room in the back is really cool. It's a well kept place and highly recommend it
Nice rink with a full concession stand and friendly staff. Only problem is on busy nights the actual rink is complete chaos. Kids/adults skating in the wrong direction causing a lot of people to fall. People just lounging around the inside the rink walls clogging it up, trash on the rink floor causing people to fall, and kids, teenagers and adults not on skates just running around on the rink. Just odd no staff at all was monitoring anyone skating. Was like a free for all and really put a damper on people actually trying to skate.
I like going at the later time as it's more adults only. Still haven't stayed long enough lately for the black light skate so I do wish they did that more! Everyone seems chill
Gosh where do you start.the floor is the hardest to skate on that I’ve ever experienced, it’s messed up at both far ends but your skates feel as though they are sticking to the floor also. Poor music as I have two children ages 8 and 9, they r not about older Rock n roll or 90s country. Could’ve played newer songs in those areas honestly. Food is over priced heavily, admission is over priced. Was there less than 7 minutes and the soft play was over ran with very large kids above the height requirement. I asked for a full refund so we could all three leave and go else where because of the large kids in the soft play not sharing the swing and I of course didn’t get it. Will not be taking my kids back to this skate world ever again.
Classic Skating ring.couple arcade games to play.the music's always on. They also play games like limbo and a skating version of musical chairs.
Place has gone downhill. I don't feel like my child is safe here anymore. Meth smokers in bathroom. Fights on the skating rink. Weed smokers in parking lot. And the prices are horrible. Used to love being able to allow my daughter to go there. Now, no way in hell
Took my lil bro to his friends skating party and he had a blast! It was his first time and the staff was great as well, keep up the great work!
Not a great place. Pretty dirty. And they gave my wife's shoes to someone else. It was a horrible experience!
Holy hot breath! You can see the condensation of five hundred hot and heavy skaters lingering over the rink when you walk into the building proper. Staff wasn't rude or overly friendly, save for one good hostess who helped out with our birthday party. Not a bad experience overall. Typical of what I expected of a roller rink: loud music, lots of kids, and flashing lights. Brought back memories.
Nice place. Hate how everything there you have to pay for like the kids support bar and the play area.
It’s such a fun family experience. Even my littlest sis could skate with us, but the place is kinda worn down. The skate souls were peeling and the bathrooms were disgusting. There weren’t even working locks on the stalls.
Facility is very dated and the food service is terribly slow. Skates are old and in poor condition. For the prices I would expect it to be updated a bit.
This business advertised a homeschool skate afternoon where each child paid $5 to skate. When we arrived, we were told that since the public schools were closed that day everyone had to pay full price. What a cheap way to make a buck.
The place is much cleaner than it used to be. It is expensive if you don't have a coupon. On the all you can eat pizza days, I generally have to help my 9 year old son get his pizza as the workers behind the counter have a tendency to tell him they don't have any ready because the slices that are there are for others. Amazing enough, if I am there, it doesn't seem to be a problem. Very frustrating.
We couldn't even go in because they close for no reason for a half an hour and then charge people twice!
The skates were worn, stretched, and stressed out to the point where I had to go a few sizes down to fit a pair of skates. I strongly dislike this place is would you prefer the skate world in Vandalia.
Deceptive advertising practices abound. You expect a Sunday special of all you can eat pizza to be included with admission, but no. Nowhere is that mentioned on their website, or on presale tickets bought for a special event. And when I spoke to the manager, she was snippy, rude and downright dismissive. Unless you want to be nickel & dimed to death, stay away!
Its.ok. But it would be A LOT nicer if they offered a specific time for ONLY young kids (like 8 and younger) to skate. And if they aren't going to or cannot do such a thing, they should have employees keeping an eye on the rink at ALL TIMES. The 14+ year olds that were laying in the center of the rink, so their friends could jump over them, was ridiculous.
