Slater's Food & Spirits, Port Clinton OH

Wonderful service at this little restaurant bar and grill. A lot bigger on the inside than we expected. Although quick, the food was mediocre, not really much seasoning or flavor from the actual meat. The chicken was plain and not cooked long enough to my taste. The sauces are good. MAKE SURE YOU ORDER SAUCE WITH YOUR MEAL!

Poor service and bad food! The bartender poured an awful drink and didn’t care about it! Interested in locals only. Will not return!

Waited about 5 minutes while the waitresses decided who was going to serve me. Sign at the door said wait to be seated but was told to just sit down, maybe that was the confusion but just about got up when no one seemed to be serving me or at least stop by to say "hi be right with you" might of been better off in the end. Ordered a wedding soup with the mushroom burger with no pickle and soft drink. Soup was water with some chunks in the bottom. Sandwich when it arrived had a pickle on it, and american cheese, oops wrong sandwich, brought out the proper sandwich next, maybe new help. Maybe bad help. Did not seem that busy but did hear maybe the owner was away that day at another business and this might be the quality when the cat is away. Had heard good things about the place, maybe my experience was out the norm or it may already of started its decline.

Food is hot and delicious. Burgers are especially tasty, and don't miss out on the Port Cuban sandwich- so good! Lots of yummy appetizers (we love the thick-cut fried pickles). Servers are attentive. All-around great experience.

Stopped for some beers and take out. Best food we’ve had since arriving! Affordable and delicious. Super-friendly staff

Great atmosphere and great food! The only problem was the waiting for our food. They were very short staffed. If you're in a hurry, don't go here.

The entire place needs re-done from the décor, lighting, atmosphere, wait staff, hostesses, cleanliness, attitudes, food and everything else. Our last time there. Got a one star because the fries were good. Could name at at least 5 complaints but won't. Just won't be back.

What a great restaurant in Port Clinton, after a long day at Put in Bay, we decided on Slater's. Great atmosphere, outstanding fresh perch, NY strip steak, home cut fries, with a great staff, friendly and prompt service. Live band was a nice touch, and even the kids loved it. We'll be back next time we are in the area!

We got takeout and everything was amazing! The boneless wings (Spicy BBQ) and the Southwest Eggrolls were amazing! We are usually picky with our boneless wings but these were by far the best we have tried in the area thus far! Highly recommend! Can’t wait to try more wing flavors and other menu items!

The food was very good. I would not recommend going on a Saturday after 5: 00 p.m. As they were packed and staff was running fast, so things were a bit slow. I ordered the Gyro and it was fantastic.

We have not been back to Slaters since they moved! What awesome food we got tonight! We will definitely be back next week! You need to check them out! My husband had the pork chops he loved them!

Food was sub-par, I got traditional wings and frys. The frys were good the wings were disappointing.
My wife got black n' mac (blackened chicken over Mac and cheese she said it wasn't bad, but the noodles were over cooked.service was slow. And a grumpy teenager/early early 20s was the hostess she wasn't friendly

There's nothing remarkable about this place. Grilled vegetables are just bagged frozen broccoli cooked to mush and then tossed on the grill for a minute. I'd have preferred properly cooked frozen vegetables if they just up front with what they were serving. The grilled chicken breast was bland. Homemade fries were soggy. Salad was on par with the rest of our food. The table next to us were eating burgers that they seemed to be enjoying. Maybe I'll try that next time.

Fantastic food. Cinnamon butter was unbelievable. Service was slightly slow but the servers were busting their butts. Might just need more help. Left happy and full.

Bar tender had an attitude the whole time my friend and I were there ruined the atmosphere. And there cool has a staring problem!

I was very upset with the food and service. My friends and I stopped here while vacationing. Our server took 30 minutes to get our drinks on the table then took our food orders so it took about an entire hour until we got our food. My friend who was a vegetarian, stated she was vegetarian, and ordered a grilled cheese. Another friend asked for bacon on his burger. When the meals came, his burger didn’t have bacon and her grilled cheese had bacon, we thought… okay simple mistake. They didn’t fix his burger but they took 40 minutes to make her new grilled cheese which was burnt. We saw the waitress only a couple times the entire 2 1/2 hours we were there. I never got my appetizer. It was awful and I will definitely stay away from here.
