Deli Slyman's Restaurant reviews
41I was in Cleveland (from California) and had always heard n read about the legendary corn beef sandwich at this restaurant. 2800 miles I come.get to the door and they tell me, "we ran out of meat". EXCUSE ME! I told them my story.response: 'catch us tomorrow for breakfast '. They lost me.
Always great to see Freddy and Moe and the rest of the family wonderful people, please keep your cousin Sam in your prayers he surely can use them thank you
Slyman's is a Cleveland Institution, not just a restaurant. This place has the best corned beef I have ever had. It is so lean. The prices are not cheap, however, you will get more food than you can eat. If you are in town it's a must try.
This place is awesome awesome awesome lots of food big portions little pricey but worth it if you've never been to Slymans u gotta go. Then you'll go back again and again and again
Corned beef is never dry, and you get a fantastic portion. I wish I could say the same for their Orange Village location.
Barnum and Bailey always said they had the greatest show on earth. I beg to differ! It’s Slyman’s downtown Cleveland at lunchtime.trust me. I would know:)
This place is awesome. I walked in and was sat immediately. The server arrived to wait on me moments later. The corned beef on rye is what this place is known for and it doesn't disappoint. The serving is huge, with the slices of rye barely holding it together. It's a $15 sandwich, but worth the price. The place takes credit cards too. If you're in town, you must stop by.
Come for lunch, leave with enough leftover for dinner. Corned beef sandwich is fantastic. Crowds come in, but the staff keeps everything moving along. Absolutely recommended.
Great food! Home made rye bread for their Reuben sandwiches. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his corned beef Reuben (not quite as good as Carnegie Deli in NYC, but great nonetheless). My turkey Reuben was wonderful. House thousand island and cole slaw perfect sandwich additions. Will be back again on our next Cleveland visit.
I always make it a point to stop and grab a corn beef and pastrami sandwich before heading back to Columbus when I come visit Cleveland. Service is great and they are very friendly and professional. JOB WELL DONE
Very fresh corn beef in my reuben, and Lots of it. This is a local favorite, as you will see if you go in at lunchtime...
This is the most amazing corned beef I have ever had. I don't get to Cleveland often but when I do.this place is a must!
Beat pastrami i had. I tried Katz in NY, both are great in a deferent way.this one is thin sliced but still soft and some crispness, it amazing.the corn beef is also excellent.if you visit cleveland, you must eat in the restaurant.
Everything you'd expect from a neighbourhood deli that is so popular. Corn beef sandwich is enormous and tasty. However, the pickel was underwhelming.
Best Corned beef hash ever! And their sandwhiches are incredible. Also the Beef barley soup i could guzzle by the quart seriously everything i have ever tried is exceptionally great. My family has been going here for 40plus years so it feels like home. I get the warmest greeting by everyone the customer service combined with AMAZING food is what keeps me coming back to this location and only this location.
Love slymans restaurant remember going with my grandma as a kid and now take my own children. The corn beef with Swiss on grilled rye.
What else can I say about pounds of sliced meats on fresh bread! An institution amongst sandwich shops.
Slymans has a great big cornbeef sandwich. I would almost rate it over Corkeys and Lenny's but I would have to say Corkeys has a better crafted sandwich. Slymans for more cornbeef. Corkeys and Lenny's for better quality of a sandwich.
Wow. Words can't express the deliciousness. Every time we come from Phoenix to Cleveland we have to stop here for a corned beef or pastrami on rye. Yum!
