What a great space to learn about the Smart City initiatives happening right here in Central Ohio! If you have time to visit, make sure you pick the brains of the Ambassadors, they're phenomenal and incredibly knowledgable about what's going on!

Excellent interactive learning center about smart cities and Smart Columbus! The staff is very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend taking an EV test drive while you are there.

0 if I could. Waited and 2 cars came by and said they couldn’t take me and the next one would “be right there. ” No car ever came. Pointless.

Great place to visit as a visitor or resident of Columbus. Shows what a smart city will look like and how we can move to a more efficient, cleaner, and smarter society. Electric cars, motorcycles, and scooters on display. Very cool setup. It's free and open everyday.

During June 2016, the City of Columbus became the U. S. Department of Transportation's "Smart City. " Since then, Columbus has received $50 million in grant funding from the federal government [and from other sources] to develop Columbus into a "test track" for intelligent transportation systems.

That means that, soon, driver-less vehicles will roam parts of Columbus, access to electric vehicle charging stations will increase, and more cars will be able to communicate with traffic signals and with other transportation infrastructure.

On June 30,2018, the Smart Columbus Experience Center opened in a first-floor space at the north end of one of the very few triangular parking garages in Columbus. That triangular parking garage had been one of the four parking garages that had been operated by the former Lazarus department store in downtown Columbus.

The Smart Columbus Experience Center is a great place to visit and to learn more about the progress of the "Smart City" efforts of the City of Columbus.

Cool space to come see and interact with what Columbus is doing to become the model Smart City for the country, from electric cars to solutions to get people in need to jobs and healthcare.
