Soin Medical Center - Kettering Health reviews
15 This hospital is five star, from services they offer, to the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff.
I delivered my son here and the care I received was unmatched. Well done everyone
Every member of the staff at soin made me feel safe and taken care of. I could not have asked for a better experience. My only comment not complaint is that radiology maybe needs to have some extra help when going bedside. I’m not small. Thank you.
It sucks. Wait was way to long and didn't do what they said they were going to do. I decided I could lay in my bed at home and left.
Very friendly. The nursing staff on down were amazing. Made a bad situation feel less frustrating. I always have and will keep recommending Kettering.
Actually All patient care was great EXCEPT ER/MRI department! Got to ER in Springfield around 2: 00pm on Monday. Needed MRI so had to transfer to ER Beavercreek. Wasn't transferred until Tuesday early AM. Was in ER waiting for STAT MRI & all kept hearing was MRI is busy with other scheduled patients & more serious patients SO I laid in ER until they admitted me & got in room Tuesday late PM. Still waiting on STAT MRI. They came got me for MRI almost going into Wednesday early AM. Then was told well all 'S are gone so the results won't be ready until Wednesday AM. SO here I still lay with a fractured bone in hip area. FINALLY was taken to surgery around 3: 30pm.
The ER/MRI department was HORRIBLE! There's NO REASON FOR ME TO BE LAST ON THE LIST FOR A STAT MRI WHEN THEY KNEW FROM CT THAT I HAD A FRACTURE & DR'S NEEDED TO SEE HOW BAD IT WAS TO KNOW IF I NEEDED SURGERY OR IF THEY WAS GONNA LET IT HEAL ON ITS OWN. & I INDEED NEEDED SURGERY AFTER THE MRI WAS COMPLETED & THE DR'S SEEN HOW BAD IT WAS!
The STAFF on the 5th floor was AMAZING & VERY COMPASSIONATE! ESPECIALLY Darian (Travel Nurse nights), August (days), Carley (days) & Kristen (Travel Nurse nights).
The environmental STAFF was amazing especially William (days) they even made me a duck out of washcloths every day.
The Lady that came around 5th floor & asked about my meals & delivered them was amazing. I think her name was Dominique.
Huge THANK YOU for the ER Dr & day shift staff at Kettering Springfield, BOO on transport for taking forever to pick me up (BUT they were very compassionate during transport so thank you) & to the 5th floor staff.

The short version is that receiving care during my regular procedures here is outstanding, but the last couple years I feel like there might be some internal communication issues somewhere in the administrative side of things, getting the details of procedures and meds right, sometimes getting callbacks. There's been instances where the procedure didn't match with what I was fairly certain they'd be doing that day.
I've kept my mouth shut, and my head down, because healthcare is really broken, everyone's so overwhelmed they're in a daze just shuffling through people as fast as they can, and I know first hand that some help is better than none.
Edited a few words for clarity
9 hours in the ER. Admitted, waiting on housekeeping to clean room from 5 to 9: 30. ER note to admitting floor was incorrect. ER room was not cleaned before we got in the room, trashcan full, another patients admitting records were laying on counter.
Very pleasant the complete staff from the emergency room to the staff on the floor I was on in room 3312 was very pleasant and kind.
I went to the Soin Emergency a few months ago with a leg difficulty and left feeling better and reassured.
Very nice staff, top to bottom.
Soin was absolutely amazing during my labor or after care! All of the staff was so sweet and helpful! Couldn’t have asked for a better birthing experience
Faith and Danielle are the sweetest nurses they actually care about you Willow was exceptionally nice you can ask any 3 of them for anything and they are happy to care of you definitely will be going to soin for all my future needs
I was referred to the ER at Soin after an on demand appt. The wait time was reasonable with my symptoms. PA Dylan was very thorough as was the attending nurses. I received all the labs and testing results quickly resulting in an emergency surgery. The surgical team was wonderful as was Dr. Hick. I felt well taken care of and informed which made the experience very positive.
I absolutely love the professionalism of all of the staff Soin Medical Center. Everyone that I came into contact with from the nurse assistants, to the nurses, the Doctors, even maintenance and Transportation, were absolutely phenomenal. They were friendly, they were professional, they were communicative. I have never had a better experience in a Hospital and I have had many hospital stays. A shoutout to my nurse Melissa and her assistant Kim and Tyler, a shoutout to Ronni and her assistant Aubrey. Great people, very caring, very friendly, very attentive. They were great. A big shout out to Dr Stephen Grocis (I know his last name is wrong) the resident Dr that came and visited me in place of Dr Humphrey. He was very nice, and explained my condition in such a way that was helpful and understandable in such an easy manner. Dr Humphrey was the same, both at Soin and at Greene Memorial, very courteous in his manner and his explanations. Dr Cumbere who did my Scope was very professional and friendly as well as his staff and nurses during the procedure. My experience was great at Soin and I would recommend anyone to go to Soin before going anywhere else. Thank you so much. Charles (Mike) Wolfe room 4416
I had to spend 15 consecutive days in this facility. I can honestly say, I have had nothing less than a phenomenal experience. The staff and teamwork was excellent, the way everyone communicated with one another was second to none. Everyone treated me like a mattered, and my condition was something to be taken seriously. I especially want to give a shout out to Caroline B, Kallie S, and Andrea, from Diabetes Education four being amongst some of the notable‘s, who really took care of me personally. Also, Tammy and Lindsay from social services, who were very attentive to my aftercare needs, as well as, Victoria, Morgan and Hannah to name a few as nursing assistance… There are so many more that I could name, but I feel like I would be leaving too many people out… The point is, my experience was great, and I recommend this facility to anyone who has an emergency need Because you will be taken well care of.
