Somewhere In Particular Brewing reviews
14This is a good spot on the west side of town for drinks and grub for anyone, but it is also accessible for parents with little ones who specialize in running amok and general tomfoolery. The outdoor space is top 10 in the Columbus area and, while smallish, the indoor space is warm, with plenty of screens televising the sportsball in the cooler months. Beer is not the best I’ve had in Columbus, but serviceable, and the food is fine - regular bar food I would say - but the relaxed atmosphere and comfy environs will keep me coming back when on the hunt for someplace to hang for a few hours on that side of town.
We hosted a party at the historical house, everything was fantastic! The event staff, Sarah and Rachel were top notch! They took great pride in what they were doing, and in making sure everything ran smoothly! The food was fantastic, drinks were great! And the house was the perfect space! We had 60+ people, and it never felt crowded or cramped. It really was a fun place to host a party.
We stopped here while we were waiting on some friends. We loved it! Cool indoor space. Amazing outdoor space. I loved the sours.
Whoever decided to change your pizza menu needs to be smacked in the head.
A year ago, the pizzas were great. Tasty crust, fresh ingredients, and a great pairing to several of the brewery's offerings. The last few times though, the pizza was just disgusting.
Bur Tonight. I was really impressed. It takes a special kind of person to successfully remove ALL the flavor from a Margherita Pizza! The crust had less flavor than your average saltine, the mozzarella cheese resembled coagulated wallpaper paste, and the Tomato had less flavor than yesterday's chewing gum. There was No salt, No Oregano, No garlic, No basil, No Olive oil. One bite and the flavorless topping mess came off in one blob, leaving you to suffer the crust on its own.
Seriously, SIP is a great space, but the pizza needs to go back the way it was, or get removed from the menu.
Skull Session was very good, although just a tad sweet. Pastrami sandwich was delicious, but a bit fatty.
Had a great time at this pup friendly establishment. Food and drinks were good, the environment is awesome! Definitely will be a regular on the pup friendly patio circuit.
Excellent environment for adults and toddlers! Let the kids interact with other kids while mom and dad have a home brewed beverage. Quick service and good apps. Not comfortable with dogs around the patio and food area.
Would give 5 stars but parking space is horrible and overflowing across busy street only shouts hazard to pedestrians.
Great outdoors seating. A bit noisy inside during happy hour. Quick service, with soda refills at no charge. The sandwiches are big, so I took half home.
Excellent experience. Came here for trivia and wanted to order the Casked Avenger, a bourbon barrel stout collaboration with SIP and High Bank. The bartender said they were out so we ordered our second choices. A few minutes later, the brewmaster Jimmy showed up to our table with a bottle from his own stock! Both the service and the stout exceeded our expectations. Will be back for more!
Great outdoor atmosphere. Solid food, decent drinks! Love it. They've recently improved their outside area and added a weekend tiki bar. +1!
Great spot! The beers were great and the food was delicious and very reasonable prices. Loved the outside patio. We didnt bring our pup, but I wish I had. We'll definitely be back!
I live in the apartments behind SIP, for the last 4 hours I have been hearing non stop amp thumping and singing in my apartment, I don’t mind live music, but if I live buildings all the way down the road I feel TERRIBLE for the people that live next door that did not ask for a live performance at 9pm. I can hear them from my bathroom with the DOOR CLOSED.
Really wanted to like this place as the patio space is great. My wife and I showed up at 8 or so on a Friday night and it took 15 min before we were even acknowledged…and that’s only because I had to ask a server to wait on us. We ordered a few bar food staples and were disappointed by all of them. By far the most lame nachos in the city. We’re talking you’ll get better nachos at taco bell. And then the beer. I’m not going to say the beer was bad. It wasn’t, but there are dozens of better brewers in central Ohio…all this being said it was a brewery that my wife and I had wanted to check off the list for some time, and now we have, and I can’t say we would ever go out of our way to return. Considering the service the food and the beer, it’s a three strike experience for Somewhere in particular. Don’t go for the beer, and definitely don’t go for the food.
