I don’t know how in the world this place have good reviews … either folks are lying, never been anywhere nice, and/or only stayed for a night. This place shouldn’t even be called the Sonesta because it’s not hardly as nice as the real Sonesta’s at all! First off police riding around all different types of the day.loud music. Front desk folks aren’t professional at all. No hot breakfast unless you count a frozen Jimmy Dean sandwich you have to heat up.next outside the building trash inside carpet is gross. Hardly any silverware, cups, and plates. Curtains don’t close all the way. In order to get new or more towels and wash clothes you have to return what you used to front desk smh… If I reserve a room for a family of 5 then I should have 5 wash clothes and 5 towels and not 4 towels and 3 wash clothes. The 2 phones in the room don’t work at all … had use cellphone to call front desk only to get greeted with a yea hello … you can shower but can’t use tube for bath for my small kids.this list goes on … this place is an embarrassment and needs new management and renovations.place would do better in west chester area

Stay away. Property in deplorable condition. Bathroom filthy, carpets heavily stained. Garbage lined down the hallways. Tables cracked and wobbly. Dirt on kitchen floor. Lights burnt out in room. Dresser door would not close. Tried to address concerns with the so called manager Melissa who is never in refuses to return my call.

Couldn’t be more thankful for Carl at the front desk! When we first arrived Sunday evening we didn’t get a two bed suit like we needed so my husband asked the women at the front desk at the time and she said they didn’t have anything available so our toddler had to sleep on the floor while our 18 month old slept in the bed with us. Only to find out 2 hours later that same Sunday the same women switched rooms for one of my husband coworkers who also needed two beds instead of one! (We both got here after housekeeping left for the day btw) We where very disappointed with her service and also rudeness. Thankfully! Yesterday Carl made up for it! I went and told him my concerns and that we would be here for two months or more and that this could not work, and a few hours later he had us in a new room and we couldn’t be happier! He was so kind, and understanding of our situation he got our problem solved fast and with ease, At least that’s what it looked like on my end haha! Idk what he had to do it but he deserves a raise in my opinion! Treat Carl good because he take care of the customers! Thank you again Carl!
Guess parents still have to stick up for themselves so their kids don’t have to sleep on the floor at a suite hotel!

First, let me explain that I am a traveling nurse. I’ve just started a contract here in Cincinnati. I called a couple of weeks in advance to make sure this hotel would meet all of our needs at a reasonable cost.

What I needed:

1) Fast internet, as my daughter is homeschooled.

2) A clean living space, I am OCD.

3) Location, I was trying to be less than 10 miles from the hospital.

The sales rep that booked me my room (Caty) explained that they could meet those needs and then some. We were promised a clean, spacious room, high speed fiber internet, affordability under their “Nurses Discount”, and a 10 minute drive to the hospital. I booked the room for 106 days.

Fast forward to last Friday, I was slightly early (I have animals and they were sick of the car), so they could not get me into my room, as check in is at 4. Fair. I sit there until 4. I go to check in and I’m told my room is still not ready. I’m welcome to swim or sit in the lobby until it is. No can do. I have animals. After a lot of back and forth between front desk and housekeeping, my room hadn’t even been looked at yet, let alone cleaned. I was put into another room “of equal value”.

Let me say, the landscaping, front desk, and pool area (things within public view) are immaculate. Modern and CLEAN. So, imagine my surprise when I use my keycard to get into the side of the building where my room is located to smell LOUD marijuana, the floors smelled of pee and were stained more than not. I get into my room and it’s the same. The floor is so stained, I can’t tell if it was even cleaned prior to my check in. The room was tiny. The pictures on the website make it look way bigger than it is. And the pull out sofa was never cleaned. Like, ever. When I opened it, what looked like YEARS of crumbs and dirt rolled out. I get fresh linens, compose myself, and my husband connects to Wi-Fi. My daughter has school the coming Monday. 300 kbs. We can’t even open a BROWSER with that. Let alone stream online class.

At this point, let me say that CARL at the front desk did his best to accommodate us. He was wonderful in that he got us “upgraded internet”. (Still couldn’t stream her class, she missed a lot of the lecture) I asked him when I can expect the weekly payments to start so I can plan financially for those days. I was already charged for 1 week + deposit (Around $750) and he explains that the women who checked me in did it wrong so he was going to have to refund that charge and charge me for two weeks the following Friday. Fair. Imagine my surprise when I wake up and have another $270 charge and $100 on that Monday. He assures me that my $750 is coming back and apologized that “someone last night” must have charged the room “what I owe”. At that point I had been there for 4 days and had paid them $1100. I ended finding an apartment closer the the hospital (this hotel is 39 minutes from where I need to be, another lie upon booking come to light). I explained this to Carl and asked if we could do late check out on Tuesday night. He said he would work that out for us (My daughter has school until 3: 3 and check out is at 11). Come Tuesday, I’m told they can’t do late check out and had to pay $100 despite leaving at 4 pm. As pissed as I was already, I just said whatever and packed so we could leave as soon as her classes were over. When I went to check out, I was told I couldn’t because I was paid up until Wednesday at 11. They assured me they’d check me out. I left with a horrible taste in my mouth.

They advertise breakfast, but stopped having hot breakfast since Covid and never brought it back. Front desk said they were saving too much money to start it up again.

Housekeeping works their butt off but a lot of the girls don’t speak English so have to use google translate to ask for things unless the manager is around.

They didn’t charge for my service dog, which was nice.

It cost me $46 to do laundry! $2600 a month and I’m paying for laundry use. Unreal.

This place just wasn’t it.
