South Park Tavern & Pizza (SPT), Dayton OH

Stopped by on our way from Tennessee back to Michigan. Did take out. One large with toppings and one medium cheese. Both were great. Toppings were generous, but didnt overwhelm and the right amount of cheese (a lot). Kids loved the cheese pizza too. The location was easy to find too. If traveling through, would definitely stop again. Maybe next time we will be able to eat in.

Few places in the Dayton region are as special as South Park Tavern (the SPT for short). It has that small, hole-in-the-wall feel, a seasoned wait staff who cares only just enough, and food that hits well beyond its weight class. The pizza is phenomenal (and half price on Mondays) and the appetizers hit all the right spots; they're fantastic.

I go here for the Golden Tee. I stay for the eats. I come back because it feels like the bar from Cheers - where they always know your name.

Great beer selection, the food is amazing, trivia night is awesome, and the weekend sound guy is the coolest.

Good pizza. The Tavern is a bit crowded with closely set tables and probably needs a lot of updating, but hey I come here for the pizza, brew and to share time with a friends and family.

Best pizza in Dayton, hands down! The staff is always friendly. Love their wings & they have a wonderful selection of sauces. Everything is fresh & made in house. Can’t beat it. 10/10 would definitely recommend!

Good pizza and service from Jay. Pizza had soft bottom crust so needed fork to eat. Not enough room on table for pizzas and plates. $1.89 soft drink. $9.95 small deluxe. Small parking lot. They also have salads, subs and wings with large beer selection.

Great pizza and the craft beer list is amazing. I truly like the actual bar, it's inviting & the staff are generally my kind of people. My only issue is the high top tables are too small for beer & food. The layout is awkward, but overall it's a good place to hang out.

Pizza was absolutley delicious, selection of beer was amazing! Our server jamie was excellent to us explaining all the different flavors of beer, and she was on top of everything! Will definetley be returning again!

A little concerned when ownership changed, but pizza is back on track, and really good.if you've been skeptical, definitely give it a try

Delicious pizza and great beer selection. The real deal is the pizza special, 2 beers and a larger 1 topping dirt cheap.

I had their pizza for the first time. It was very good and reasonably priced. They were very busy, but had attentive service. Will definitely eat there again!

First time at this place. Love it. So many choices on tap and so many ipa's, ciders and ginger beers to choose from in cooler. Pizza is really good. I will be coming back, for sure!

Would love to love this place as it's close, but the food selection leaves a little to be desired. Everything is baked, even the battered foods which makes them not so desirable. Pizzas pretty good, but there are tons better in the area. Just mediocre in my view.

Great little neighborhood tavern with excellent pizza. Awesome rotating selection of local craft beers.

So yummy and service is quick and efficient. All their pizza are great. One of my top pizza places in Dayton/ Kettering. Also Mondays are but one get one type of deal

Always have a good experience, even if it takes a while sometimes. Also a favorite place for my pup.

Mondays are the best! Half price on their large and extra larges. If your decision on what to get is difficult, they have no issues making half one way and half another. My buddy who likes to save calories so he can drink good craft beers was able to "lighten" up the pizza after discussion with the waitress. Usually have a nice selection of good beers on tap or on bottles and cans.

Great food, drinks and fun place to hang out. They offer trivia night, open Mic ect. Heck just check it out.

The 1/2 price pizza Mondays are wonderful. Fantastic craft beer selection. Staff is sometimes a bit disorganized but really friendly. Live performances are intimate. It's not a large place for a big crowd, but it's relaxed.
