Sprenger Health Care Smithville Western reviews
7I've underwent rehabilitation here for 3 weeks. Being very basic in equipment and overall design; The entire staff here is a breath of fresh air, in which makes this facility. Demonstrating immense and genuine care. The residents are as great. There are many exciting and diverse activities for all ages and physical abilities. The kitchen staff does an excellent job of preparing healthy and fresh meals, always hot from the kitchen, optimally nourishing all. Maitnance and janitorial staff are as friendly as the nurses;keeping the facility sanitary and orderly limiting sickness spread. The social workers are relentless in their duties resulting in a quick discharge. Im sincerely appreciative of the phenomenal staff, and all they've done to aid in a rapid recovery. I would recommend this facility to anyone.
My father came for care and rehab, and was initially complete care. They placed him at the end of the hall, furthest away from the nurse station, where he was left alone for hours with no way to call for help, as he couldn't reach the call button that was left on the floor. We came in to see him half off the bed the first day, and unable to feed himself (stroke left him unable to), and no thickened liquids as prescribed, only ice water that he choked on several times in the wee there that we saw. I don't know if this is the norm there, but I was terrified to leave him there to care for my mom with dementia at home.
I had to return home out of state and not six days later he died. There were a couple great nurse who treated him well, but the fact that doctors directions weren't followed from day one scared the **** out of me. I'm scared that they didn't help him eat and he choked on it. My heart can't take that thought.
I was going to work here but changed my mind.so never went back.very unfriendly staff all of them that i encountered.if anyone would smile, their face would break seriously! The atmosphere and vibe was horrible, definitely do NOT recommend!
I found better! Certain areas of the building kind of smelled like urine.that's awful.
This place really good care of my wife. They were able to heal her quickly.
Very outdated! Beds are horrible, rooms are horrible. The food is horrible and I tried to eat it myself. Some of the staff are just rude and don't care at all, especially when they think they have all the authority. Don't leave your family member all alone here, check on them regularly! But some of the staff are Awesome! And I appreciate them! I would recommend to look into as many health care providers as you can! And make sure the patient is being treated and taken care of the way they should!
Great care and professionals to deal with! A Wonderful community partner! Abegael & Amanda are always so great to work with! If we ever have to give referrals in this area, I always recommend them!
I just love working with all any any of the patients. I love taking care of people so no matter how many times they push that call light I’m there for them without complaining. It’s a nice facility and all the employees are nice to work with.
