I update my reviews based on current experience. As of today (8/15/23), this is a 1 star review, and we have finally been taken over by new management, and a good thing too. Roger of CLK Properties was the worst thing to ever happen to this place, which occurred after my first review. Flaunting his Audi 500, he refused work orders for any broken amenities, and likely squandered many people's rent checks. His pompous attitude topped by arrogance & ignorance was his downfall. In the mere two years he was in management, my apartment has fallen apart at the seams with a detailed & itemized list of what needs done. We loved this place when we moved in 5 years ago, and we want to make it our paradise again, so let's change this!

Update (8/21/23) : Now at 2 stars due to fixing refrigerator & reopening pool after being closed for no apparent reason most of the summer. We have more work orders to put in, so very much hoping for the best.

Update (10/13/23) : Seems like management is attempting to fill work orders, albeit incorrectly. Fixing drywall before checking for grouting holes & tile leaks in the shower seems rather unproductive. Also, at least 24 hours notice of arrival would help, rather than calling at 9am telling me you can't enter my premises because you don't have a key (an issue that should probably have been handled a long time ago), and then not contacting or sending anyone out all day after saying you would be in after 12pm.

It also seems the complex has leased, in part, to the Columbus Zoo (based on the constant banging on the walls 24 hours a day coming from apt 5834), as well as Barnum & Bailey's Circus Sideshow (based on the clown music blaring from the SUV outside my window every single day from about 3pm until whenever they feel like leaving for the night, as well as the completely unfit mother needlessly screaming at her child in public, in relation to apt 5818), so the lack of respect among tennants here is lackluster at best.

Update (12/21/23) : Since these folks have taken over, they've sent pest control around several times, though we haven't had rodents/bugs of any sort. I understand the need to be preventive, but this seems excessive. I just had them in less than a month ago & they're already coming back through.
There is no way I can vacate my home when I work from it & am unable to take sufficient time off to allocate for this on such short notice. Also, having us empty our cabinets & cupboards only for no one to show up during the contracted scheduled service date is not only inconvenient, but highly unprofessional.

Update 12/26/23) : Office has now sent out notices for pest inspection on the 28th- in two days. They never filled the service from 12/21. I moved my stove & fridge on my own for nothing the first time. These folks can certainly move it themselves this time. You don't keep regular office hours to call or discuss any of this, I AGAIN CANNOT be leaving my home for hours at a time when I work from it, and I will be refusing to incur any charges from this plain display of incompetency. Dropped back to a one-star rating. This is ridiculous, and I'm sure there will be more to come.

WHY IS 5834 BANGING ON MY BEDROOM WALL AT 1AM? Another ongoing issue going unresolved.

The apartments are not clean what it shows in pictures
The staff are terrible they not care once you take on rent.

The new management “updated” their system for paying rent and now there are numerous ridiculous fees that you have to pay on top of paying rent. I’ve been being charged for Renters Insurance through the office despite having my own renters insurance from an outside source. I spoke with the office and they told me they would credit the charges that I’ve had and remove and further charges. 11/1 and surprise, surprise nothing has been done. I’ve called twice regarding this issue. Also, what is a C. A. M charge? According to the rental office it’s a new charge to pay for the upkeep of the apartment facilities? What does that even mean?

This is one of the worst places I’ve ever lived.my rent was $1500 a month and may apartment was infested with roaches.they exterminated every Thursday for 3 months straight & I still had roaches.they never mowed or treated the grass so I had to give my dog a bath everyday where I picked off at least 20-30 fleas. I also had mold spores in the air that start growing on my deep freezer and up the side of my couch but I couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. The new management that took over mows the grass & it looks like they are redoing some of the apartments. But trying to contact them for anything other than leasing they will basically tell u anything to
Get you out their face & completely ignore you after that. I seriously would not recommend EVER!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would when I first moved in I saw roaches and mice. There's water damage on the ceiling.they don't have contractors to fix the AC so they offered a window unit. They painted over a bunch of outlets the cabinets feel like they are going to fall off the hinges.this place is so outdated. When I first got shown a apartment in it wasn't like this everything was clean and no cracks. I feel very scammed. I wish I could break this lease I haven't been here a month. PLEASE DON'T LIVE HERE i regretted this decision. I only move to be closer to work. I'm so upset and depressed bc of this I will not renew my lease. Now that I have been here almost 4 months now they still haven't completely fixed the leak that is coming down my wall in the bathroom this is the second time now I've had to throw away 2 towels now bc of this problem. I have gotten rid of the roach problem myself bc I'm not moving all my furniture and things when I just moved them in. Just for them to come in and spray. I have gotten my car broken into one night right before I was getting ready to go to work. I have kids randomly ding dong ditching me. This place isn't worth 1,000 a month. I feel like I'm at a low income apartment. My parking spot I paid for was taken multiple times when the pool was open I called the office about it and they said they basically can't do anything. What's the point of paying for a parking spot if I can't park in it. The people above me leave their nasty diapers on the sidewalk when we are like 4 feet from the dumpster. When I first moved in there was a bag with a nasty diaper in it hanging on the door where I assumed someone was disappointed in this place like I was and left bc there's a bunch of papers stuck to the door. Haven't seen them ever. I eventually had to throw away that bag with the nasty diapers.

Do not recommend renting here! Mold! They tell you that you can’t have guest without asking them first even though you pay 1200$ a month for 1 bed one bath apartment

If I could give this place no stars I would. Mold that never got taken care of, paid them 1200$ a month in advance right before we left and when we tried to get that check back they refused to then tried to charge us 2800$ more. Don’t waste your time or money here, they take advantage of military members

It’s been 5 days since we moved in and our second day around 7-8p we had a loud bang on our door. I went in n checked and the door was dirty heard. I heard kids laughing immediately it happened, I went around the building and saw no one. I’m sitting in my car waiting on someone to come around n do the same thing as we heard the same loud bang 20-30 minutes ago, went around the building n saw no one. I’m pretty sure it might be kids but how uncomfortable to having ur mom who’s a snr living with u n get startled cuz somebody is not controlling them kids how to act. I love this neighborhood but if it’s gonna continue with my mom getting startled at some mischievous behavior then we gotta move. Is not worth it. There should be some type of security around here!

They don’t follow the lease transfer paper it says 6 months they don’t get things done it takes them forever to do anything and plus there no where little kids to play at and there’s no security going around this is mine and my husband 3 year here with our daughters which it’s not safe to be on the second floor.

I've lived in Spring Creek for over a year, although the kitchen cabinets are pretty dated and there are lots of cockroaches in these units I've never had any issues. But today I arrived and my bedroom closet was flooded I went to the office to ask to do something and they told me they would check but no one showed up so I contacted them by message and I was answered by Tiffany who is Spring Creek's digital leasing coordinator and herself by far managed to solve my problem at the same time. I really appreciate her work Tiffany, you are very kind and thank you very much for solving my problem.

The utilities are way too high, the model unit looks 50 years newer than the actual apartment you receive, the apartment was not ready to be moved into on my move in date. They did not complete the work on the apartment that needed to be done prior to moving in until 7 months AFTER I had already moved in. Some doors didn’t have handles, cabinet doors would fall off when you opened them, the ceiling was peeling, the towel racks were broken, etc. Multiple maintenance men would show up for the same issue on different days and make up excuses why they couldn’t fix that problem and ask you to sign off on the work. You have to fight with them to get anything repaired. The property manager is super rude when you bring up any issues and does not want to take accountability. My heat went out multiple times in the winter when I lived there and it took them days to get it back on. The utility bills are so high you’re better off moving to a newer apartment that is better insulated.

Worst place you can live in. When I moved in the apartment 1. Was not clean at all. 2. The dryer and washer did not work. It took them 5 months to get my appliances in place. If you wanted to shower you could only take 5 minute hot showers before the hot water went out. I called multiple times! Every week I was calling! Roger the manger made me sound crazy because of all the problems the apartment had. Until you speak to them the way they speak to you you won’t get anything! It was 90 degrees in my apartment during summer. My dogs would be dying if the heat and no one would come fix the AC. I called the health inspector on them and they waiters until 5 days before they were going to get fined to fix everything. But the AC was not fixed at all. They still wanted to charge me after I left that place! Save yourself and don’t rent from here. Instead of taking peoples money, go and update these apartments. Maybe you’ll get more business.
