Staff Music Akron

Brought in a few guitars for repairs, customization and setups. Aaron does incredible work. Just got it back and I can't out it down. The sound and look is now beyond my expectations. I highly recommend them. Local, friendly and very knowledgeable.

All of my questions were answered.
I was never pressured or rushed to make a decision. I was not encouraged to purchase more than what I needed.
Dealing with Staff Music was an overall enjoyable experience.

I bought a Jackson in May of ‘22 with a Floyd rose. Came in the mail I had electrical problems with the bridge pickup. I had taken the Jackson to a different repair shop and they had for a few weeks each time and couldn’t fix the electric and didnt do a great job on Setting up the Floyd rose with 10 through 46 gauge strings. After the second time of taking the Jackson there I decided to try somewhere else.

So I went to Staff Music. I saw they had good reviews and figured I’d give it a shot. They are a nice small family owned shop. Their prices are very reasonable. Much more reasonable than the other shop I had been going to previously. They do quality work at Staff Music. I got my Jackson back in about a week. I’m very happy with the service I received. The electric works great and they set up the neck very well. I would recommend Staff Music to anyone. I will go back to them in the future for instrument repairs or getting a guitar set up.

I have bought several items from staff music. I bought my 1982 limited edition Les Paul, a full set of Rogers drums, my sure SM 78 microphone and stand. In 1982 though the prices were not as high.

Dig is one of my favorite people to deal with and I have stopped by the shop just to chat on several occasions. My family has dealt with Staff Music for 4 decades and 3 generations and we have always had great experiences. Very fair pricing both for purchases and for consignment, and their consignment fees are extremely reasonable. Tough to find anything negative to say.

Great family owned music store I have been going there for 45 years. Great customer service if they don't have what you want they will try to find it. Very reasonable prices.always a great experience.

Even after you explicitly asked them not to require a signature.

I grew up in Akron and Staff Music was always my go-to spot to shop for instruments, mainly strings and picks as a youngster. Wonderful people to deal with. Don't let a one off review from someone who doesn't understand a websites shipping policy sway your opinion to the bad.

They went above and beyond for me and helped me understand what I was buying for someone who doesn’t know much about instruments since I was purchasing as a gift! They were the best and I would recommend them to anyone!

We visited Staff Music co. Seeking a few pieces of equipment for my sons 1st year of band. The gentleman there was extremely kind, informative, and helpful! He gave us a good deal on our items. They have a wide variety of instruments and very nice selection of electric guitars & basses that ill be returning to check out a little more! Definitely recommend!

Staff Music has been an institution in Akron Ohio for well over 50 years.
It was the first music store I ever visited as a kid in the 70's, and I was the proverbial kid in a candy store.
Now in the 21st century and almost a half century older myself, I'm still that kid in a candy store.
Just stopped by and got a great deal on some gear that I needed and saw about 10 more things that I wished I could buy on the spot.
If you like to buy music gear from a knowledge, friendly, honest family business with lots of cool stuff at great prices, this is the place to go.
And you have to stop by frequently, because you never know what cool finds Dig and Lee have found since your last visit!
