Stanbery Park reviews
10Always has been a nice park to go to. Over the years, they’ve added more walking trails, picnic tables along with shelter space, (to have events at), playground equipment, bathrooms for both women and men. An also go sledding during the winter time.
Recently moved to the area and needed a place to walk my energetic dog. I vouch for the other Reviewers in terms of sketchiness, for a lack of a better word.
On top of that, I saw a hornet's nest hanging from a tree that looked nearly as big as a Hot Air Balloon.
If that thing drops, the city will probably have to evacuate. Needless to say, I won't be back.
Best Park to sled ride and they toss pumpkins after Halloween. Quite tucked back tons of shade.
Came here to watch the meteor shower, but you can’t see stars here. Anyhow it is a quant park to come spend a couple of hours or walk your dog, so I won’t bash the park for being close to the city. Nice little well kept park.
There are a lot of drug abusers at this park! Took my children and random men were just popping up out the woods left and right. Looking very sketchy. Witnessed two drug deals as well.
Lots of open space. Restrooms for all. Decent hiking trail. Convenient to stores and restaurants.
Off the beaten path, a lost gem of a small community park nestled in the foothills that surround the city of Cincinnati. Offering many well-cared for trails, (both paved, or a combination of mulch and gravel.) Hosts an array of local, intersecting bike paths, offering up scenic vista's of the beaucolic Little Miami River, and often untold views of the Cincinnati Skyline. (Which project iconically off on the far western horizon, framing the setting sun to a sublime picture postcard every evening.
Nice place for small to medium-sized events: ie hosting small family reunions, weddings and other small group gatherings. Playground equipment seems modern, sturdily built w/ soft, "Helicopter-Mom friendly, " surfaces - equally inviting to children and young families alike.
Overall imperssions are that it is a distinctive, very neat clean, well-maintained, little park; nestled in an off-the-
beaten-path corner of the city: the rapidly gentrifing Mt Washington neighborhood, on Cincinnati's East-side.
I would avoid going to this park. There was some sketchy men hanging out and when I walked past them they stopped what they were doing (probably pot) and starred at me and my partner. Idk if they were homeless or not but I was definitely on alert while walking the trails. The trails were okay, very muddy and the bridges were old and needed repair. I would seek out another park, there are plenty of nice ones nearby.
Trail was nice. Could hang out by the creek if you’d like. Bathrooms were fairly clean. Picnic and park benches were nice!
This is and has been my favorite park on the east side! The trails are my go to but can be extremely muddy, even several days, after a rain.so if you're planning on hiking, wear old shoes. There's a small creek that is fun to hike as well! There are several different trails for all levels. If hiking isn't your thing, there's a really nice paved walking path of which many people use for their children to ride bikes. There is a large pavilion in the back for gatherings, ample grills under pine trees and the best part is in the summer months they have events in a small stage. There are clean restrooms, a playground and it's a great place for dog walking. One warning, however, watch out for the local occasional riffraff and always lock your doors.
