Steak 'n Shake (Temporarily Closed), Hilliard OH

Nothing to rate as it's shut down. As an over the road truck driver I have noticed a few of these closed around various stages in the Midwest

If your hungry do not go you will be waiting in line for at least 45 min to an hr absolutely horrible

I sat in the Drive-Thru waiting for a couple of minutes and no one ever responded. I had to pull around and go inside to ask if the drive-thru is open (because they were clearly open because the doors open and there were staff inside). The lady said that there were only two of them and because their other manager wasn't there the drive-thru was closed until further notice. They could have let someone know over the speaker or even came out to say something instead of letting me sit there the time that I did, but they didn't. Very unprofessional!

I went to this Steak 'n Shake with my family. Each of us got a milkshake. They put such a small amount of mix ins in the shakes that they just tasted like plain vanilla shakes.

The evening/closing shift is usually rude and close when ever they feel 90% of the time before their posted hours. The food they serve looks unappetizing after a long wait. Id rather spend the extra gas and go to the location off Georgesville road.

Closed everything way too early and yet people were still in the dining area. Shut down an HR early!?

Walked in and was told the shake machine was shut down for the night due to understaffed. Should have left then but didn't. Placed our drink order. When the sever came.to take food order my husband ordered a coke. Took a long time to bring coke. A party near us who came after was served first. Later our server came to tell me the chili mac I ordered was unavailable. I asked if husband's and granddaughter's order was ready, answer was yes
I told him to bring their orders. He never brought a menu back or asked if I would like to order something else. I was so disappointed and frustrated that I didn't want to have to wait for something else. Probably a good idea. Another table of two near us sent their order back due to wrong thing. We will never return to this location even though it is only a couple miles away.

The employees sat there complaining about former employees i beleive one was the manager. Inappropriate language was used with my 11 yro son just 6 feet away. We didn't get our shakes until we were about done with our food and even those were not good. Mind you it was 430pm and the place was empty. Literally no one but me and my son. Now I know why and will not be going back there.

We waited awhile to place our order due to there was only one server. There was two on the grill and many others in the kitchen. The area got busy and the waitress had to take care of everything by herself. She also had to ask many times for sauces that the kitchen seemed to forget. We ordered coleslaw and baked beans instead of the fries with a meal and still got the fries that were cold and seemed to be sitting for awhile. They are looking to hire more staff but currently they need staff really bad. The last few times of going to this location it has been going down hill.

Always disappointed when we stop in to this location. I'd avoid all Steak'n Shakes, but my toddlers really enjoy their milkshakes. On this adventure the location did not have Sprite.that was new.no tea either.did have a bottle of water and a vanilla milkshake, so 2 out of 4 menu items isn't bad.ugh.

This is probably one of the worst places I’ve been to in a long time. The food is usually decent but you have to wait forever every time to get it. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten my food in under 10 minutes. And the quality of service, atrocious. I used to work in fast food so I know it’s obviously not the most glamorous job but you can make it livable and fun sometimes. The staff is almost always in an awful mood. We left mid-order once because the employee was rude and cut us off multiple times to just talk down to us. Another time there was a hand written sign that just said “sorry we’re closed” at like 5 pm. This most recent visit sealed the deal that I’ll never come back. There were 3 employees (what looked to be a shift manager and two others) sitting at the back door with it propped wide open while they sat in chairs and smoked.mind you, where they were sitting was maybe 5 feet from me trying to place my order. Although I didn’t get that far because I was asked to wait since I’m sure there was only one person working inside. After sitting for a couple minutes with their cigarette smoke going into my car, I left. I should note that the back door was wide open, so the smoke was clearly still flowing back into the business as well. Not professional whatsoever and just plain rude. Steak ‘n Shake would be better off closing this location completely and putting their funds towards something that’s worth it.

Drive through is never open. I have to drive 15 minutes away just to go to the nearest steak and shake with a drive through. Not sure why they even have a drive through. It’s minutes from my house but it’s the most inconvenient restarting around. Seems like they either need to hire more employees or give current employees a raise.

The longest I’ve ever waited in a drive thru. Waited 5 min to order, then another 15-20 min for food. No one inside is in a hurry at all. I can see them inside standing talking to each other. Terrible service.

They have the best chicken fingers and fries and sandwiches and awsome milkshakes and they r fast and friendly

Would have been 5 stars if the milkshake machine was working and they didnt short us on fries. But the frisco melts were on point.

Steak & Shake's double cheeseburgers are great, and the price is great - but, these new "Prime" burgers? No thanks, they lose the crisp crust, they're dry, slightly chewy, and not as tasty. Not only that, but you lose one of the best reasons for going to Steak & Shake in the first place: the value.

Steak & Shake is a fantastic value for great burgers, but not the "Prime" ones - they remind me some of McDonald's old Angus burgers.

Location is going to hell. Went last night and when we walked in at 10pm the gentleman that wasnt even in work attire told me they are closed for the night due to no one on erd shift. Drive thru was open but took forever. Ended up going else where. The other location in hilliard was never as bad as this one. Always something woth this location being short staffed. My opinion pay your staff better

Good food, fast service, friendly servers and best of all.cheap prices! What more could you ask for?

Usually good food but. Don't get the party melt unless you like tons of grease. That is the absolute worst Patty melt I have ever had. The rye bread is supposed to be crisp and not mushy from soaking up the grease from the grill. Train your cooks better before they kill off the customers by clogging their arteries.
