Steak 'n Shake, Sandusky OH

I order regular cheese fries and not chili cheese fries. The first time they didn't even put the cheese fries in the bag so I had to reorder my food SMH people can't follow simple instructions. I will never go back there again.

Steak & shake is going down hill fast. Probably won't ever go back. First thing their parking lot is full of trash, a lot of trash. ️ Second they don't want to take cash if you don't the right change. (CASH IS KING). So fine I over look the trash, dig to make sure I can make the change right. Then when I tried to order they start telling me their out of onions. So we left we are done with steak and shake.

It was great. First time almost everything was right. Just ask for grill onions and they have me raw. But the burger was so good I didn't care. Lol

If I could give it A negative rating I would. Was starving after Cedar Point Mount wanting to spend the money on food there, coming here hoping to get good food. Ended up waiting in line 2nd away from the window for 20 minutes. Got my food my burger was freezing cold. My fries felt like they’ve been sitting outside for two months. I asked for cheese fries and they put cheese in a separate dish that was cold. They were not able to make shakes. I was not able to get coffee or tea. This place should be shut down

Don't bother trying to use car hop. My family split between two vehicles placed two orders, 10min past when they were promised my husband went through the drive thru and staff claims they never received the order then (while he was on speakerphone with me) accused him of trying to fraudulently get free food while refusing to look at the order AND PAYMENT confirmation info on their app on his phone as well as screenshot of my order and the confirmation email for my order that I forwarded to my husband. We had our hungry children plus two friends with us. This was the worst experience we have ever had at a Steak N Shake. Never got our food and wound up having to drive 30min away to the Sheetz in Elyria to get food for our family as the nearest place open after a long day at Cedar Point. There was no indication anywhere that they have trouble with the app and zero effort on their part to make the situation right while lobbing accusations at my husband in front of two of our children. HORRIBLE.

Drive thru only it seems like, will miss the dining room. Cheap eats and always made fresh. Not a huge fan of the fries, but their burgers are great

The good things are how cheap it is and how good the burger and shake were.

The bad things.those fries are thin enough to fit inside a straw, the tamper proof seal was in the entirely wrong spot and the service speed was so slow. There wasnt even a barcode to scan for the steak and shake rewards app.

Do yourself a solid and go across the street to culvers.

The smell that came out of the drive thru window was horrid. Smelled like stagnant sweat and did not smell like food at all no napkins or anything & the worker who gave us our food didn't say a single word and did not even look at us he just threw the bag out the window and closed it.
Will NOT be going back, ever.

Super-friendly, fast service, but totally messed up our order. Missed some of our items, and the chili was so burnt that it looked and tasted like refried beans. Won't be returning to this S&S location.

We got in line 20 minutes before they closed and get to the speaker box to be told there closed "20 minutes before 10pm" and when asked why just a very rude comment "because we can", will not be stopping at this location after our Cedar Point trips anymore. This is the 3rd time in a row now trying to leave the park in time after closing to fighting traffic to get there.

If I could give it a zero star I would. I stopped by tonight with my fiancé and son to grab some dinner. Their closing ours are 10pm and I arrived at 9: 45, so 15 minutes before operating hours were over. Plenty of time to make a few burgers, some french fries and a milshake. However according to the worker they were closed. I asked to speak to a manager and they just repeated they were closed. Terrible way to treat your customers, coming from someone who worked fast food for 3 and a half years. Won’t be going again anytime soon

Horrible service. The woman taking our order was really rude to us and made us all vanilla shakes despite the fact we ordered birthday cake and cookie dough. She was rude and even made comments on the intercom. I would give 0/10.

This place has horrible service they were so rude and nasty will never go back to this place again check your staff because they all SUCK

If I could rate a zero stars I would
Got too the drive through at 9: 10 had a few cars in front of us should’ve been a problem to get 5 cars their food and the ten cars that lined up behind us because “the line never moved” got everyone’s order in front of use until we get to the window and say we close at ten and tell them we have been waiting over half an hour for food and again “we close at ten” in a snotty attitude we called to speak to a manager and it was the same lady at the window. I’m sorry but if you want 15 dollar an hour wage don’t act like it’s our fault you can’t serve more than 6 people in 45 mins

Ordered 2 small fries, 1 was half full and the other was less than a quarter of the way full. The picture is how I pulled it out of the bag. Bunch of dirtbags working here.

Just had to wait for awhile in the drive-thru but it's understandable with everything going on right now. Food was very good and fresh

If I could leave zero stars I would, the ladies were very rude, I asked for ketchup in the bag got back to the hotel guess what no ketchup and no napkins.

Kinda hit or miss, the food is usually pretty great but the staff are where it falls short. Not ever sure how my experience is gonna be when I walk in

All I can say is, never had Steak n Shake but im hooked. Friendly staff, just over all the night staff you all rock. Everyone working tonight needs a raise.

Worked as fast as they could to get everyone's orders out despite people shouting from the line. It was past 10PM, their closing time, and they still made sure everyone got their order. Super sweet workers, and good food!
