Steak 'n Shake, Chillicothe OH

The food was mediocre. The fries were almost cold, and the chili rather salty. But whatever lacked in the food area, was made up with their milkshakes! We tried the banana one, for something different, and I must say that was the smoothest, creamiest milkshake I've ever had! And so cool that they serve in goblets like that! If we're ever in the area again, we'll be back to try another milkshake!

A little frustrating with new ordering system. The new way (last few years they implemented) they make shakes is like a cheap burger joint shake. Burgers were good.

You have to order on a computer by yourself and then they call your name and number to pick up your food. They didn't give me my shakes even after they asked me what I was waiting on and still called other numbers after mine and gave them their shakes. The tables were a mess, and it was not a good experience.

Got a bacon double cheese and fries. Wound up in the hospital with Ecoli from it. My dad as well.when I reached out on social media I found that many others have gotten ecoli from there as well in the past.

Milkshakes were made with apparent spoiled milk, whip cream, or unclean machine. They were horrible. NOT to mention they weren't made right to begin with. We ordered 2 chocolate, toddler chocolate, and 1 peanut butter.and it was during happy hour.shakes should have been, I thought, 1/2 off.or at least on sale.
Nope.almost $6/ea.and we werent able to drink but the 1st drink of them.before realizing that there was something wrong with them. Very unsatisfactory and the manager acted like it was our fault.

Waited 30 mins in line and ordered 2 milkshakes. Repeated myself twice cause she kept saying the wrong thing and snapped back "that's what I got! " Got my milkshake wrong, no receipt, and we tried calling 7 times with no answer

Very pleased with this steak and shake super fast and there was a mix up and they fixed it fast and with no argument

There is nobody to greet and take orders, all done by kiosk, the burgers were good, just not made correctly, either one, worst atmosphere of any restaurant I have ever been in, I certainly hope this is what we have to look forward to.

Employees were ignoring me and even looking at me, but failing to acknowledge me when I stood by mobile order pickup stand for like a half hour to pick up two doordashes. It was 45 minutes and I still didnt get the orders, and employees kept looking at me and gave people their orders when they ordered way after the two doordash people that I was picking up for did. Theres no reason to have their orders done before mine when mine were smaller than yours, and no excuses, FIRST ORDERED IS TO BE FIRST MADE. Doordashers have responsibilities too and cant be waiting long just because yall are lazy and have favorites and continue to not make an order after its been on screen for over a half hour.laziest and stupidest customer service I've seen. I bet if there was a restaurant police that could ban restaurants, this restaurant should be banned. No customer should be ignored, and I'll file against law if I am not given better service next time, I'll get restaurant to close down forever if this continues.manager even ignored me and disrespected me by not helping me when I was standing there for a long time. The workers dont deserve to be paid. Im calling the law if this happens next time.

This place is the absolute worst with doordash orders and doesnt even work on them till its TOO LATE. US DASHERS GOT RESPONSIBILITIES TOO AND IT SURE AINT BEING LATE. Yall even made someone elses order before mine when mine were placed wayyyyyy before theirs. This place is soooooooo bad and deserves no service at all and these employees deserve to not get paid. DO YOUR JOB INSTEAD OF BEING LAZY AND IGNORING THE DASHER THAT HAS BEEN STANDING IN YOUR STORE FOR A HALF HOUR. I HOPE THE WHOLE INTERNET SEES THIS AND AGREES WITH ME

The restaurant was clean and I love the new self check out kiosks. Food was delicious, I had the chicken strip. I would recommend a visit.

7/16/2023 just got 2 milkshakes for me and wife. Got what we ordered, Togo cups were only 1/2 full

Used to love coming here it was horrible today to many things wrong to mention but a few things was hair in chili hamburger not cooked raw inside had so much trouble couldn't enjoy my meal with the grandkids just horrible. I am so disappointed used to ve my favorite place to eat in chillicothe

Burger wasn't too bad. It was served a little cold, so the cheese wasn't fully melted. That's my only complaint. The fries were tasty, but I'd have to say that the banana milkshake was the highlight of my visit. It was so creamy and delicious!

They didnt give are 4th milkshake when we ordered it and when I got my sandwich the top bun wasn't even on it. The entire time we was there the lady was staring at us. Plus we didnt get are fries and accused us of lying.

You must order on a kiosk but there are people there to help if you aren't familiar with using one. They call your number when food is ready and you pick it up at the service counter. The place was clean and e eryone was friendly. Love Steak 'n Shake but it's difficult to find one in the Cincinnati area. Most have closed.

Unfortunately, now more like fast food than a restaurant. No longer the Steak and Shake that I enjoyed. The company's efforts to cut down staff have made this a sadly impersonal place. If you crave a milkshake, know that it may be your "dessert. "
