Great service! They authenticated both Breitling watches I purchased through eBay and shipped them out the same day. I’m thinking the negative reviews seen here are from scammers that were oh so close to a big eBay payout selling junk replicas.

These guys are the worst. They incorrectly evaluated my watch that sold on ebay, so I am out the $150 shipping/insurance.
If you see that they are the chosen authenticator for your sale, cancel the deal. Eventually ebay will find a watchmaker that has a clue about vintage watches.

0 stars if I can. I have no idea why EBay use this horrendous lying business. I wouldn’t trust them with my nail clipper let alone a watch.

Sent a watch through eBay authentication which I purchase from AD and they didn’t accept it and sent it back with scratches. Absolutely would not recommend buying or selling anything that passes through stoll and co in Dayton Ohio. Inspectors should be ashamed of themselves.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with Stoll and Company. I sent in my Rolex, which I had sold on eBay, and they had the audacity to claim it was not authentic. To make matters worse, they returned it to me with noticeable scratches on the watch face. It's evident that their expertise and professionalism are seriously lacking. I would strongly advise against using their services if you value your belongings and expect competent handling. Seek an alternative company that respects both authenticity and customer possessions.

I dont understand why you would ship it to me after ebay authentication, but mark it weekdays only when shipping.my watch was sitting at fedex since friday night, and could have been delivered on Saturday morning when someone else available to be home and sign for it, but no that would make too much sense, lets delay it for the customers and request delivery on a workday, when its a workday. 0 sense. Otherwise everything seems to be ok.

Not impressed. Maybe you will have a better experience. I hope so!

Long story short (but that's going to be difficult), Squale specifically told me to send my watch here. All I needed was a new Bezel installed.

I contacted them and shipped my watch, knowing that a new Bezel costs 80 CHF (because I asked Squale for a price) and that R. Stoll & Co would charge me for the service.

Many months and emails and phonecalls later (this will be too long if I tell them all) my watch was shipped back to me. They say they had to wait for the part from Squale. But.

They shipped me back a different watch!
Briefly: The screw-down crown felt different.
Winding the watch felt different; not as smooth.
The GMT hand didn't line up correctly with the hour markers anymore.
The case was different.
And the sapphire crystal now had a cyclops date-magnifier window. (I don't like those)
But it had a bezel!

So basically they supplied me with a different watch, but removed the bezel insert. (This is an odd choice without asking me.what if the watch had sentimental value? Like if my mother bought it for me and then died.)

Anyway. The charge was $300 CAD after you add the shipping cost back to me. Big picture, I had to send the watch back again. Even more simple instruction this time: No date magnifier bubble, please.

A while later, 5+ months in total, I finally got "the watch" back. Not MY watch. I was so annoyed by this whole process that I sold the watch within 15 days of receiving it back. I also sold my other Squale watches in the intervening 5 months (in the last few weeks leading up to receiving this watch back) Because I can't imagine having to trust any watch to this company again.

Frustrating overall. Zero stars.
But I have to give one star. So. I will say something good eventually.

I had a step-by-step of my whole experience typed out. Too long. But the ladies on the phone (Aimee, for one?) were as helpful as possible almost every time I called. Thank you.

Where to begin, these guys are not experts and shame on eBay for forcing buyers and sellers to go through this company. They have repeated misidentified watches. When I asked them to clarify their findings they were sparse on details and gave me answers that conveyed they clearly did not know what they were talking about. Other dealers and watch buyers have shared similar experiences. These guys may be ok at authenticating your run of the mill modern watches, but when it comes to more unique pieces I do not recommend putting your trust in this company. Get your own independent opinion from an actual expert or ask the forums. It's a shame eBay does not offer an option to decline this so-called "authentication" headache and instead forces upon you with watches over a certain price-point. The service is actually worthless.

Stoll and Co heavily scratched a brand new, never worn watch that I sent through authentication. They are now claiming that the watch arrived to them that way. This happened twice this week. We will be pursuing legal action against this company. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM

Sent my watch in for warranty work. The staff kept me informed as to the progress. Watch returned in perfect condition.

Well I purchased a Tudor Tiger Steal and Gold from a seller on ebay and I will say I seen the Reviews from Stoll & Co and I was a little nervous how can you not be! But I have to say the job was done right I spoke to michael over the phone he was very nice And professional I asked him a dozen Questions about the watch while he was authenticating it They were super awesome And a pleasure to work with. Received my watch this morning and I was more than pleased I would definitely do business with Stoll & Co Again I feel comfortable to purchase from eBay again And have them authenticate another watch which i'm sure will happen sometime soon thank you all very much! While the repair took considerably longer than expected. (Parts had to be ordered.) I received my Watch repaired, certified and in excellent working condition. Communications were timely and concise and the repair cost affordable. I would certainly recommend Stoll and Co for unique timepiece service and repair.

Terrible place to send your rolex. Do not do it if you sell one on ebay. These people are clowns. They will not be with ebay long mass complaints on these people. Just made one to ebay myself too.trust me if on ebay do not send to these people in Dayton Ohio. Keep your watch. They will damage on purpose and switch parts on your watch.attorney on the way

Work done is horrible, broken so many watches/not fixed right. Promise dates are a joke, been waiting over 6 months to get a job that has been "done"

Paid 1800.00 in repairs for a watch I was going to sell. As soon as I got the watch back, had to send it back to them because the push pin fell out. The second time it went back they lost my original box which was 30 years old and in pristine condition. Now the person that was going to buy it from me won't buy it without the box. Every time I called them about the box they said they would look for it and call me back. They never once called back.

I really wanted to recommend them, but I'm seeing a pattern in the other reviews that mirrored my situation very closely. I guess this makes for a good sanity check though. First, the repair estimate was exorbitantly priced (the same cost as my Baume & Mercier Riviera Chronograph!), but secondly, I just can't believe that such an expensive watch could be THAT damaged, as Stoll claim. I'll stop short of suggesting they were underhanded, but I have to wonder if they damaged my watch when performing their estimate. To top it off, the lady I dealt with was incredibly difficult and rude to me. B&M recommended Stoll because they're supposedly an authorized repair center, but honestly, Stoll did the B&M brand a massive disservice. A very unpleasant experience, and now I don't know where else to look for a repair. And there's NO way I would purchase another B&M if this is the level of aftermarket support I can expect, seeing how awful this experience has been. I hope you read this stuff, B&M, because I need another repair option.

I sent in my 20+ year old Baume & Mercier timepiece for service. It had been over 10 years since it was last serviced and it was not performing at its best. The work Stoll & Co did was amazing. My watch was repaired (bezel replaced), fully serviced and polished to the point that it looks brand new!
