Strader's Garden Center, Powell OH

So sad to watch this place fall apart… Sat in a car line for 30 minutes to get there during the memorial tournament traffic and I called to ask if they can stay open 5 extra minutes for me to finish getting the rest of my mulch. I even offered to load it myself and they said no. 5 minutes! I have spent so much money here over the years and have truly watched this place go down hill. I will not be back and don’t recommend it!

Excellent selection of flowers and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend them!

Today we visited what was our favorite nursery. Of course the place was super busy and energetic. Preparing to check out, an older female employee came to the front of the store and started yelling at the cashier’s to move faster and stop having conversations with the customers.
Family owned and operated, I would have assumed Strader’s treated their employees better.
Very disappointing. Do better Strader’s.

Shawnee Hills Strader's is my local garden center. I've been coming here for 5 years. Today when I showed up they were training new folks and I announced that I wanted to buy several products to amend my raised garden beds. The employees in the know about raised bed gardening told me that I only really needed 1 of those products and steered me in the right direction. It cost me less money, and they got less of a sale, but the fact that they care is huge. It's why I keep coming back and don't go to the national chains.
