18This was the best Subway in Newark years ago, unfortunately the customer service is horrible. Store is always dirty, understaffed and not efficient. I wonder if Subway corporate even visits this store, obviously the owner does not. Hopefully things change for the better in the new year.
If you don’t want to work there then don’t work there. Worst service worst sub possibly made I’ve worked at subway for over 4 years in my past and fired many employees like the ones that work there. My advice to owners get rid of weak employees to better yourself and your company.
They stopped accepting coupons. If you don’t want to accept Subway Coupons change your name from Subway!
They don't accept coupons for discounted price on the subs and cookies at the north 21st location Newark Ohio
Good food. Good employees. Sadly, They stopped taking coupons, which was the only reason I went there because the prices are ridiculous. The stores in Utica and the other one in newark do take them. I'm not paying $12 for a sub, so I guess I won't be back.
I got the buffalo chicken sub and my buddy got the italian meatball sub. Everything was great and I'd recommend this place if you're looking for a great sandwich shoppe.
Much better than any of the subways in town Newark and Heath. Fresh all day and relaxing environment.
Floor was dirty and the tea canister didn't have lid. There was some stuff in the unsweetened tea don't know what it was and the tea tasted awful like tap water. Not going there anymore.
They make it how I'd make my own; lots of veggies. However the last time my family ordered from here there was a long hair in 3 of our subs! 3 different sub sandwiches that had hair in them. It will be a very long time before I ever order from there again.if I ever do. Totally ruined it for me.
Only my second visit, but was my last one, for sure. My first visit last year, my cookie had a fly in it. This time, I ordered a 6" ITALIAN BMT, minus the salami- they charged me for a 6" ham, double the pep, so a $6 sub turned into a $16 sub. I thought it sounded too muchwhen I handed her the cash, got home, looked at receipt, called the stores only listed phone number OVER 30 times in the next hour with nobody answering. Got back in my car, drove back to the store, and the chic in charge (NOT the manager) says they did nothing wrong with the item price, she would need to call the manager, and gave me the stank eye the entire time she was talking to "the manager. " Hung up, credited me back the obviously over charged 6" sub, didnt apologize, oh! And she told me their phone never rang.
Poor customer service! 4 people in there only 1 working! Rest standing around! I won't be going back
Go and get their salad bowl always bring by daughter.they always talk to her and make her laugh and are friendly.come here quite often.
Really nice location as far as atmosphere goes. The employees did a great job making the food. Only disappointing thing was that the employees seem to be messing around/more interested in talking with each other than assisting customers. They actually turned customers away when they got a large online order while I was there, which I thought was a bit odd given there were three of them there and the lady only wanted one sandwich.
I placed an order through the app today and was charged but it wasn't showing up that an order had gone through. I went in to make sure they received my order and felt attacked by the women who made sure to let me know she was the general manager. I had no issue that the order hadn't gone through, I wasn't in a rush, I just placed the order to save some time. I even told her I wasn't being any type of way that I just wanted to make sure I could get my money back but she was unbelievably rude. She was even shoving her phone at me telling me she didn't get an order. She does not need to be working in customer service. I will not be back.
First time in the 21st subway, I don’t know if she’s the general manager or just one of the managers, but she was so rude lol.kept giving us side eyes and dirty looks. I guess you can’t substitute things out in place of another item UNLESS it’s on the the menu. For an extra $2-$4 you can substitute. The staff was very polite, but i could tell they wanted to walk out the door just as much as I did. Now, im not calling her rude, because of this substitution issue, SHE was telling me how much was enough on the sub? And the way she talked to her crew was awful. This is legit the only Subway, where I have seen this take place. So basically i guess you can only get a sub that is on the menu, no subbing unless you want to pay $2-$4 extra. You also can’t buy side cups of sauces anymore. It must be packets. Maybe Subway is different nowadays.but i definitely won’t be back to that one
My husband and I have stopped at this location several times and they NEVER have meatballs made. The first time it happened we had other errands to run so we came back in 20 minutes (which is how long they stated it would take). The second time they said they had no meatballs… If it’s on the menu it needs to be ready and available to the customer. Management needs to get it together. I will not be back to this location. Absolutely ridiculous! I advise everyone to go to firehouse subs down the street. They aren’t going to make you wait twenty minutes for meatballs.
Walked in and was told they could not even serve me because they had too many online orders.you can’t stop for five minutes to make a walk in a sub? Unreal
The workers there seemed to not know what they were doing. They overcharged my meal by 6 bucks
