Sugarcreek Village Inn

Very nice place to stay if you visit sugar Creek, the staff was very kind, the room was clean and comfortable. It's within walking distance to the quaint little shops on main st. The clock and a few places to eat. The rooms are cheap compared to most places I have stayed at

Stayed in Train car 12 it was very clean and was a very nice stay. Only a couple of things I think could be better. The TV was very small and the tile floor in the bathroom was very cold. Other than that it was a very nice stay and would stay there again.

Absolutely gorgeous and peaceful and comfortable and perfect. Very excited to see mints on the pillows. Everything you need. Access to coffee and linens and front porch has a checker's table. Very happy and we will be back.

We stayed in one of the converted train cars, and we were very happy with it. Our room was very clean, and there were several features you'd expect from higher end hotels: mints on the pillow case, a welcome note that included an after hours phone number in case we needed to contact someone from the inn, a basket with coffee and bottled water, and pictures hung on the wall. The room had a fancy tin look to it - a very nice touch. The employee that checked us in was super friendly and made sure we knew where to find coffee, ice, etc.let us know we were welcome to sit on the inn's large porch if we'd like to.
We paid twice as much for a room in a well known hotel chain two weeks ago and had a terrible experience. The Sugarcreek Inn was a very pleasant surprise, and we are already planning another stay.

We spent 2 nights here and were very satisfied. There were little oddities. (i.e. Mismatched furniture, no staff on site 24/7, combination locks). But the room (#3) was large and clean. TV and mini fridge. WiFi worked. Plenty of parking. Easy walk to food and tourist sites. Extra locks on doors. The porch had comfortable chairs. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Go to Sugarcreek and stay at the Swiss Village Inn in the Caboose! It was so fun and Erma and the staff were terrific.

This is a quaint little inn that offers train car rooms, very clean with excellent service and amenities including a very large porch with comfortable rockers and chairs, treat yourself to amazing.

Room was large but no storage. Had to put our suitcases on the loveseat. Microwave was on bathroom counter. So I was fixing food by my toiletries Beds were hard. I had trouble sleeping and a sore back after 2 nights.
Also no charging ports on the large nightstand. Had to unplug the clock to charge my phone. They need to make better use of the space and at least provide a bench for suit cases and a desk space for personal items/ laptops.
We went back into town and stayed at Dover Inn and Suites. They have all of these things and more and the beds are super comfy!

Room was very clean! Bed was horrible. They put us in the basement so no carpet in the room. Between the horrible bed, the air conditioner that was very loud and the dehumidifier that was loud and would run a while and shut off we got very little sleep. On Friday night it rained hard. At 4am got up to go to bathroom and the floor was covered in water. Had to call the owner as no one there, using my cell phone no phones in the room, no kleenex and no local information, and she said they have a leak somewhere when it rains and to put bath towels down. They of course were soaked so every time we went to bathroom we got wet. In the morning I called again because we needed to take showers and the floor was wet and we had no towels. Man came wiped the floors with a dry towel and gave us towels to shower. He stated they need to tear up and find the leak but they are always booked. Money more important I guess. We went out for the day and came back about 4pm to find no one had been in our room to clean, empty trash or bring towels. Will NEVER stay there again. There was no offer of any compensation for all the trouble we had. The basement room was right at the laundry area.

Very clean, nice room at a great price. If you arrive after office hrs call the number on the door. You register on the phone and get a key code to your room.

The location is great for sight seeing in Sugarcreek, just a few minutes walk from Main Street. The price was really great. We stayed in one of the train car rooms, great idea. Maid service could have been better. Trash wasn't taken out of room, bed wasn't made. On the upside, did get fresh towels.

Is very clean rooms good bathrooms and plenty of amenities. Really good service and easy parking. Lots of charm with the train cars very close to restaurants. Don't forget the cheese at the bulk food store as well you are close to the museums and other attractions.

The room in the train was very clean but, somewhat dated. A little disappointed because thought it would be more of the train style inside. We had a nice stay and manager was very helpful.

Stayed here for a wedding nearby. Bed was comfy and room had air conditioning which was great on the 90 degree days. Bathroom came with shampoo/conditioner and soap. I enjoyed the location and access to the building and rooms was with access codes which made it nice to not have to carry around a room card.

Sugar Creek Inn’s staff was very friendly and check in was so great. Room was extremely clean and bed very comfortable. Wake up to hot coffee and great shower.
