Summit Woods Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine reviews
24They only care about you if you are a sports star. They could care less about the individual person. Their refusal to treat me resulted hospitalization. And I've left messages for their staff for a year and noone has ever returned my call. DO NOT go here.
I have loved coming here each time I came for issues. However, I call to get a follow-up to possibly talk about surgery and I'm told there are no appointments ever available on Friday or Thursday afternoons to talk to a doctor more about surgery. It's not like I'm asking for a Saturday or Sunday appointment. You should definitely work on making more times available for your patients. Not all of us can just take off of work whenever we want. Not very convenient for your patients.
The doctor wasn't up front with us about not doing surgery he doesn't do it anymore and thats why we went to him and I was very upset that we did x-rays and then MRI and it was money wasted so we are now out over 800.00 dollars!
Spent two hours trying to request medical records. Finally got the form to download and print out when I went to fax it the line was busy tried three times no success there was a number to call then I got a recorded message that there was no one there available to take your call. I’m also a patient at Christ Hospital and they have a healthcare portal where you can look at your records instantly. You need to do better.
I have had three surgeries with Dr. McClung. He is a thorough doctor and caring and specific with your needs and concerns. I have also had a cyst removed from Dr. Foad. He also was knowledgeable and caring. The doctors here are fantastic.
I had surgery at beacon few months back
Surgeon: Peter Cha
The office: a well run machine with in house MRI and their own surgery center (loved not having to go to a BIG Hosptial) : they check your insurance and get all pre authorization done (no surprises)
The scheduler: Nicole Wong: Always available to guide you through the process (this is a one off event: not like getting weekly groceries: they understand that and always call back to answer the most innocuous questions). I was given estimates of out of pocket payments before my procedure!
The same day surgery center: well run unit. They checked all my medical history. The site of surgery was Triple checked and verified! You don’t want the wrong area operated and they were impeccable.
Anesthesiologist introduced himself and again went over my entire medical history and discussed his preference for anesthesia: The RN was busy so another anesthesiologist came and started my IV fluids: great teamwork!
Dr Peter Cha: Now there are surgeons and then there are those who “ try “to be surgeons for an entire lifetime. Dr Cha is in the former category: a blessed with clean precise surgical skills: a true gift from the almighty! Humble personality: success does not seem to have gone to his head.
Of course there is a certain risk going forward with any surgery but if you pick this surgeon: he will make sure the you get the best care his team can give. You cannot change one’s luck/ destiny but you can certainly choose your surgeon wisely
Post op: I chose a smaller therapy center (they’re too spread out and for a person on crutches everything seems far: not everyone has the luxury of a ride) I looked for one that I could park and enter like the ones in a strip mall setting: nothing wrong with Beacon therapy center though: they were not at all offended I chose a different therapist: they faxed the therapy plan promptly to the therapist of my choice
Had an appointment set for a month. Arrived at the appointment and had to wait over an hour to see the Doctor. Why set appointment times?
Doctor also seemed to be in big hurry. Meniscus surgery turned into long months of recovery with little information. I do not recommend Beacon.
I have been in this place for a couple times, all staff member are very friendly. I saw Dr Maldonado for for my back pain and he took care of that problem on one visit. My wife also went to see Dr Maldonado and he took care and explain her problem with no rush. They have all the equipment for treatment under one roof, that is perfect.
Thanks Dr Maldonado and the staff on Beacon
The doctor barely spent 2 min with me and was only interested in getting MRI. He showed no interest and didn’t give any direction as what I should do to prevent my condition from getting worse. The staff were friendly and professional but I would never go back again to such unprofessional doctor. He didn’t ask me if I had any questions, he just left in hurry.
I would never recommend this place based solely on the billing Department and the patient liason. She is untruthful and specifically misleading.
Dr. Steine was very thorough and took his time to explain things in a way that I understood. He answered all my questions patiently and was very personable. Staff was wonderful!
Dr. Brannon seemed arrogant and I felt like he was talking down to me. He answered my questions, but felt a little rushed. His staff didn't really provide any help when I asked for documentation.
From the greeting at reception to the flow of each professional, this was an excellent experience and great medical care.
Dr. Miller and his team at Beacon Orthopedics are fantastic! After suffering for over a year, Dr. Miller listened to my concerns and gave a thorough evaluation, ordered appropriate tests, accurately diagnosed, and presented a treatment plan to give me back my quality of life. I received immediate pain relief after surgery and continue to improve throughout recovery. Highly recommend.
Everyone here is extremely friendly and always have a smile on their faces. They all were willing to help out when someone needed them. They make you feel comfortable even when you're feeling nervous or anxious. I wouldn't go any where else.
Dr. Foad and entire his entire staff have been Awesome! Throughout my recovery. If it were not for Dr. Foad and his team, I would not have the recovery that I am having!
Very good place for Orthopaedics. My wife has replaced 2 knee's and I am now going to have a new knee. DR Chaudhary is extremely talented at knee replacement.
Staff is very nice and always willing to help answer questions. Very accommodating when making appointments.
I went to Beacon for a lower back problem only to find through the expert diagnosis from Dr. Bartsch That it was my cervical that was the problem. With in a few days and a referral to Dr. Rodway I was scheduled for surgery and now I am recuperating at home. If I hadn’t made the decision to go there was a chance that I could have had permanent damage that could have left me paralyzed. What a wonderful team of caring people. Oh and my lower back was helped by an epidural which is doing much better.
Dr Velazquez was awesome! It’s obvious he likes his job and likes his patients. He got a lot done for me on my first visit and I’m very thankful for the great care I received.
