I visited the Synphony Hotel on Saturday Night for an evening of jazz with family. The jazz trio was exceptional, the band took requests, and the venue was a small boutique hotel with a unique decor, including historical memorbilia and synphony instruments. The setting, sandwiched between the new FC Cincinnati soccer stadium and the Music Hall in OTR was scenic. Street parking is available, but a bit challenging during events. The appetizers were good. I imagine the rooms and dining in this hotel would be exceptional, although I have not tried them yet, I would recommend the hotel based on my experience.

We stayed here on a Friday night. The idea of this place is awesome. However, good luck trying to sleep at night. We were on the top floor and I could hear the band playing downstairs like it was in bed with me. Lights shined into our room and kept me up all night. The bed was small and very, very squeaky. However, the staff were great and the breakfast was top-notch. I appreciated the free parking even if it was a few blocks away.

This is not a standard hotel. For example, your standard hotel would not text you and tell you that you left your favorite blue tooth speaker and offer to mail it. They did though. Thank you so much yall! Also keep in mind, with not being your standard hotel, you don't have the same amenities. You need to communicate if you wanna be checked in right away or need anything. They do a really good job with it. Do your part. It's an old building, part of the charm. Be patient. Water will get hot, just wait. No elevator, bring your muscles if you dont know how to pack light (like me). It's a perfect location with great people. We literally walked everywhere. And I mean EVERYWHERE. Cross the bridge to Kentucky and over to the breweries, Findley market, It's almost in the center of everything. The only 1 negative I would give is the bed.if you are sensitive to pillow beds it may not be for you. The mattress definitely messed with our backs and we are happy to be home with our own mattress. However, back pain and all I would still stay here again. It was a great experience. P.s. Ice machine is behind the bar. If you're like me and don't wanna bother people late but want cold water lol.

Great little hotel! Amazingly beautiful rooms, great service, phenomenal location. Way better than a chain, strongly recommended! Be warned, however, it is an old house, and therefore noisey. Bring earplugs, and be quiet in the hallways, because we can hear every word of your hallway conversation in the rooms!

2 star b/c we called several times to get a room and only got the answering service. When they finally did get back to us, they were just like uh ok bye. Maybe we'll try again on another trip

We stayed here on a Monday night, which is unfortunate since we missed the restaurant and live jazz. The place was great though. Rooms were cool, and comfortable and the rooftop patio was a nice touch. Will definitely stay here again.

My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming hotel. The food was outstanding both the breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed listening to the jazz band on Friday and Saturday night. We were in town for Oktoberfest. The hotel is located a half block from a Connector streetcar station. The best part is the streetcar is free and it goes past many major attractions. We didn't have to drive anywhere our entire stay.

Stayed here with my husband for a date night, stayed in the brahms room! Starting off the staff was pretty friendly and nice that was a plus! The room itself needed some updates, the bed is a full size which we knew about- however the mattress sinks in and is pretty old & uncomfortable. The bed frame itself if you move even a tiny bit it will wake everyone up. The shower head was clogged also. Other than that it was pretty standard and nice! My husband and I went to go eat at the resturant to enjoy the some jazz music which was very nice! The food was decent! The best part of this hotel is the location! Very close to Washington Park, and you get free parking in a very nice garage! The "chef breakfast" was pretty rough, just some pastries and some eggs that had no flavor so that was not good. I ate some honey nut Cheerios those were good. All in all, a decent little hotel, I think overpriced with the room updates that need done and with the Breakfast situation.

My wife and I booked a 2-night stay at the Symphony Hotel for my 75th birthday. It was an outstanding visit. Ashlyn, the innkeeper, made check-in super easy. Secure, covered parking and breakfast are included in the cost of the room. Our meals in the jazz bar were wonderful and very reasonably priced. A special shout-out to our servers, Owen and Reagan, who were very attentive.
The hotel is themed on classical composers. Our 3rd floor room was small, but comfy and very quiet. The roof top deck on the 2nd floor was a pleasant surprise and surprisingly peaceful. They even loaned us wine glasses and a corkscrew so we could enjoy a bottle of wine on the deck.
The Symphony Hotel may not be for everyone, but if you are looking for a boutique hotel with wonderful service, great food, easy access to free transportation to downtown and the Findlay Markey, not to mention being across the street from the Cincinnati Music Hall and Memorial Hall, don’t pass up this gem.

Quiet and convenient to Cincinnati Symphony. Lots of food/coffee well within walking distance. Parking was excellent, secured garage within a block.

The Symphony is a nice little boutique in the middle of Cincinnati. The are is reviving and the hotel is convenient to the soccer stadium and the Cincinnati Music Hall. The hotel itself is very easy to get to, there is a good loading zone in front and they have private parking in a secure garage (definite plus in any downtown area).

When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Ashlyn who checked us in and gave us an overview of the property. She also mentioned that since it was the weekend, a chef would be on-site for breakfast. We were in the Copeland room which is at the top of the building with only two rooms below it in the wing. The door is also conveniently right next to the door leading to the rooftop space (great for having a cup of coffee in the morning).

The room was well appointed with a nice bed, two leather chairs and a small kitchenette (microwave, refrigerator, sink, coffee maker) and a very nice, all stone, bathroom. The room had exposed beams (a little dusty), and a small wooden writing desk. In addition, there was an antique vanity for getting ready.

There were waters provided as well as a couple of snacks if we so desired, and coffee for the coffee maker (a detail missed here in that the only coffee provided was decaf). In addition, there is a mounted television, but we did not turn it on the entire time we were there.

The bed was comfortable, secondary shades on all but one of the windows, and we did not have a bad view out. The room was very quiet, no street noise, and since there were only two other rooms in the "wing", there was not a whole lot of foot traffic.

Breakfast was a provided in the morning, but was a bit of a disappointment. The breakfast was a step below the typical continental provided by a Hampton or Mariott. Even though there was a waitress, everything but the eggs, waffle, and bacon were self-service. The coffee pot was almost completely empty and when mentioned she indicated she would get it refilled, but did not during the half-hour we were seated. The eggs were an odd poach and, though asked for over easy, were served over-hard. The bacon seemed like it had been microwaved.

All-in-all, we enjoyed staying in the room, but there were many details missed that should not have been for a room north of $300 per night.

If you are looking for a historical, unique, and conveniently located hotel, this is it. This hotel is beautifully restored and maintained. Every single space is decorated with musical artifacts.

The Bach Room is big enough for a couple with a smart tv, coffee maker, and extra pillows. Pictures are from shared areas and not the room.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Connector, Washington Park, and restaurants which are about one block away.

Ashlyn, the innkeeper, made our experience so pleasant! She went above and beyond to help make our check in work for us. We appreciate all the help during our stay.

My only complaint was the breakfast.

Absolutely fantastic. We stayed in the Rachmaninoff Room. What a neat hotel, with just 9 composer themed rooms to stay in if one is going to the symphony or to explore the many arts things in the arts district, the many museums, etc. Z that Cincinnati has to offer. Best of all was our Innkeeper, Ashlyn. Always somewhere near, but never behind a desk or intrusive. Checked us in, saw to our needs, cooked breakfast, told us about the hotel's and the art district's history and attractions. Most info we needed was texted in a personal message as we arrived - room number, how to check in, a phone number for questions. Anything else we wanted to know, (like WiFi password), we just texted back, and it was there on the same text chain for future reference. One can appreciate the owner/ artist's talent, love of her musical subject, respect of the hotel's history as she conceived the hotel, restored the buildings, and created absolutely stunning interiors with so much attention to the smallest details. My personal favorite: There are no room numbers. Our door and room key bore pictures of Sergei himself! The feeling of the artist's joy in creating the work of art which is the entire hotel includes what seems to be a sense of humor in certain decorating choices. According to our Innkeeper Ashlyn, the hotel started was a brothel in an earlier life. Upon encountering certain objects, I thought they might be both someone's tribute as well as her wink to the Symphony Hotel's entire heritage. There is also a restaurant featuring jazz and full meals each weekend. Unfortunately, we did not get to stay and enjoy those. Go, enjoy, the Symphony Hotel. Costs are comparable to big name box hotels, but the experience is so much more.

It is a convenient if you are going to music hall for opera or symphony. The food is OK, great bar menu and service is great. I would not eat there if I am not going to m

I hate to say this but overall this was not a great experience. If a "boutique" hotel means old, outdated, nonfunctioning amenities and lack of comfort then this fits that description. The big PLUS is the location. Easy walk to restaurants, Music Hall and Memorial Hall which was a great perk. We stayed here (Mozart room) because we were attending a concert at Memorial Hall and liked the convenience of walkability to the venue and surrounding restaurants. The room was extremely outdated and frankly not very convenient as far as providing space for clothing, bathroom products, etc. The furniture was so old that the wood was stained and the drawers looked dirty and were not lined. There was a wardrobe in the room that we hung a few items in but even that piece of furniture was in need of repair and the doors were difficult to open and close. The bathroom consisted of a shower that did not look very clean and a toilet. The sink was outside of the bathroom so after using the toilet, you have to open the door and step outside to wash your hands. The liquid soap provided at that sink however appeared to have been mostly water which tells me that they have refilled it with some water to save money. Not cool and not particularly hygienic especially when you consider that this is a hotel and many people stay in the room over time and open that bathroom door to get to the sink to wash their hands after toileting. The door to the bathroom did not shut firmly either. The bed had a very high mattress and my husband and I are both tall people but it was difficult to get in and out of the bed. If you are short, forget staying in this room or bring a step stool. Actually, there should have been one in the room. We did not sleep well because we faced the street and two windows faced the bed. The shades were inoperable and even though they were halfway down they were so sheer that it would not have mattered. The light shone brightly in our room all night long. They did provide two eye-masks however they do not stay on and was pretty much worthless. The TV was awful and operating the air conditioner was a challenge which we never did master. It is the weirdest set-up I have ever seen. We were given 2 keys to the room and to unlock the room also wasn't smooth. Same issue with the front door key code when we came in from our concert at 10: 30. We punched the code in numerous times before we could get it to work. If you have any type of knee, hip issue or are elderly and cannot handle steep stairs I think all of the rooms are upstairs which is accessed by a very steep old, wooden staircase with a low rail on the left side. The check-in process is different as is the parking process. I will say it was nice to have a parking garage to park our vehicle. When I reserved this room (several months ago) the confirmation referenced a nice restaurant and a nice cocktail lounge. Neither was available. There is a complimentary breakfast but we did not partake. It runs from 9AM - 11AM. I am not sure how that was possible since the restaurant wasn't open but we did not try it so I cannot really provide feedback. One of the nice things (other than location) was the rooftop patio area. I paid $189 (after a $30 discount offered on their website) and I feel that was way overpriced. We left very early and I did not even shower because I was not comfortable with the way the shower looked. We got up and immediately packed our things and headed for home. They are renovating downstairs it appears but their bedrooms are in sad need of repair and updating. The sheets and bedding seemed very clean although the bedspread did not look fresh at all. They also have all of these fragile tchotchkes sitting around everywhere which would be OK if there was ample space to place personal items but there is not. They did leave us waters and snacks which was nice. They provide robes (which we did not use) and there is a coffee set up in the room - unfortunately they provide coffee, sugar, creamer but nothing to stir the coffee with.

Great overall experience. The price is a bit high for what it is, but the rooms were nice and comfortable, the service was friendly, and the location was excellent. They made our trip very easy, and we would stay here again.

A gem of a boutique hotel next to the Music Hall. Unassuming, very quaint with a friendly staff and family home demeanor. Rooms are customized to various legendary composers from the past. Very nice roof top. Jazz Club on the ground floor. Various food and beverages available. Short walk to other notable sights on the Rhine. If a music lover, especially classical, a visionary experience and hotel destination.

Charming and very beautiful boutique hotel. We stayed here for one night. This hotel was the perfect location, very central. We stayed in the Brahms Room.
