Taft Museum of Art reviews
19My first experience was when the Jane Austen exhibit was in town. The museum is beautiful. The gardens are exquisite. The staff was friendly amd courteous.
Went for the jane Austin exhibit. It was amazing. Collection was distributed among the upper floors, it was a beautiful experience.
Attended the Jane Austin collection showing. It was wonderful! We are reenactors and the costumes were beautiful. Never been to the Taft before, but will definitely return for future showings.
The staff was a little rude, which always turns me off. However the Jane Austin fashion exhibit we visited was well curated. TIP: This museum is a lot of reading. We did not see any interactive displays. Unless we overlooked it, the museum also lacked audio for those who fatigue when a lot of reading is required.
Great museum to visit! Somewhat expensive for what they have to offer but still a must see. I thought everything was really really incredible and interesting especially because I am into fashion and costuming. The parking garage was filled when we arrived so we had to find parking so make sure to factor that in! Loved it! Would definitely go back again!
The service was good. Or server was very descriptive and friendly. I ordered the avacado toast. The flavors we very good as well as the portion size and presentation.
Overall rating: 4/5
Difficulty level: 8/10
Relatively small however there was quality works of art to admire. Two floors they do have an elevator though. There is also a parking garage, small number of spots. We went around 2pm and there was a sign saying the parking was full.there 25% empty spots. The traveling exhibition was of Jane Austin outfits which I throughly enjoyed. There was a restaurant on the first floor though we did not stop to eat. We went on aSunday, no cost for admission.
A must see location in ever you are in the Cincinnati Ohio area. Something new every time we visit the Taft Museum of Art.
Everyone going to Cincinnati needs to experience this house. It was recently renovated. The parking situation isn't the greatest but its worth it
Service was good, but I thought the cafe would have a different atmosphere. It was literally the entrance hall, so we saw everyone checking in and heard every question. Food was pretty good.
The museum held the Jane Austen collection and it was really nice, all the pieces look like the same pieces worn in "The Bridgertons". The actual museum had a lot of historic pieces that were owned by the Tafts and Mrs. Taft Dad who initially owned the house. From jewelry boxes, to clothing styles and furniture.
I played a recital here when I was 12. Nice to visit it again. The music room was so much smaller than I remembered! Sad to see the Steinway Grand. I played sitting in a storage room with a DO NOT Touch sign on it
Great summer camp. My kids said it was their favorite ever. That's pretty high praise! Staff was nice and it was very organized.
Held my daughters wedding there and everything went so well. The entire staff was fantastic, attentive and so kind. They made the night carefree and relaxing. Thank you Taft!
I recently was in a wedding party at the the Taft. Hands down the most beautiful venue, and the staff was amazing. I highly suggest this venue for your next event / wedding.
Had a great experience at the Taft Museum. We went to see the Fashion and Sensibility exhibit, as we are fans of Jane Austen movies! The exhibit was well done and it was worth the trip! The museum also has several nice pieces. It was a great visit! Plan on coming back and seeing more of the grounds.
We went for a special exhibit, but this is a nice, small art museum. Good for 1-2 hours of your day. Nice, cool stop in the summer. Friendly staff and nice display of the artwork. Free parking if they have space.
Wow.great experience. Staff works great together to make this an enjoyable and learning experience. Cafe staff is outstanding. Outdoor seating area is delightful.
