The Beast reviews
20Such a classic coaster, definitely a must ride and after saying that you must ride it twice, once in the day and once after dark. Slightly over a 4 minute ride time and at one time (probably still is) the longest wooden coaster.
Still best ride ever. Since 79 been stomping the competition rides out. All time classic fav.
One of my all time favorites; ride in a middle seat! You'll thank me later.
Make sure to hit up the coaster at night too, the difference is quite literally night and day!
I've grown up near Cincy and going to Kings Island is always a treat, even if you only get 1 ride. It's always worth it. The Beast is one-of-a-kind; not only is it one of the longest ride times of all the coasters in the world but it can feel like a completely different experience from one ride to another. I never truly appreciated this ride until I rode it at night. The feel of the ride was so different, I felt like I was on a new coaster. This experience alone made it my favorite ride in the park. It will never be beat.
Dissapointed. Heard they made this ride less rough. Trick no good KI. The barrier between seats bangs little kids heads and throws adults into it. Remove the barrier in between the seats or pad them with something else that actually is padded. Will not be surprised if I have bruises. Be prepared for a rough ride no matter who tells you they made it smoother.
Great place, friendly, clean and most importantly great rides.if you are up for scares try the beast front row seat when it is dark
One of a kind ride, rode it twice at night - my favorite ride at the park. It feels so fast.
Best wooden coaster in the world. RMC any other woody except this one. The sounds of the clicking chain lift, the smell of the woods and grease, the tunnels, the violent shaking if you sit in the very back, the ghost that sits with you if you catch the last ride of the night, the red eyes in the woods, the drops, the turns, this ride is amazing and terrifying at thensame time. Great upkeep after 40 years too. We pray this coaster never gets taken down.
Classic wooden roller-coaster claimed to have to be the longest wooden roller-coaster. It is pretty rough especially in the 3 tunnels.
Amazing! Honestly, I think it's more exciting than the modern roller coasters. Such a long and exciting ride. It's a wooden coaster so a little jerky as expected but not bad comparatively to others.
Probably the best ride in the park for the night experience. The cerebral nature, the speed, the turns, and the absolute black tunnels make this a top 3 attraction in the park, and it retains the crown.
Much faster than I ever remember it being. Maybe some brakes removed to restore it to its old days? Idk but I've always loved this ride, as I'm getting older can only ride it once a visit now instead of the usual 4 or 5.
OMG! What a ride. The front seat bounced like a car are cobblestone. I thought we where going to fly off the track. Scary! Painful! Loved it!
The Beast is a classic, very nostalgic and a great ride. It is pretty bumpy since it's a wooden coaster, so if you have neck or back issues, I wouldn't suggest riding this one.
The Beast is epic. It was still new when my wife & I spent a day of our honeymoon at King's Island 40 years ago. It was 5 stars when I was younger. The faster, more thrilling, AND SMOOTHER coasters have it beat today, as it shakes you around and scrambles your brain! But The Beast is still one of the longest lasting coasters in the world at 4 minutes, which places it 4th or 5th, I believe. It is also an historic and hall-of-fame coaster.
A simply legendary roller coaster. The experience at a night is a must-ride. It's bumpy, but I've been on way worse. Just a wild, out-of-control ride flying through the woods.
Best roller coaster ride ever! I've been Disney World, Disneyland, Busch Gardens, Dollywood.you name! The Beast is without a doubt a "BEAST"
Love his prints throughout the park.am a huge shivering Timbers fan so I figured try it.omg what a horrible experience! I didn't know if my teeth were going to break or my neck
I loved it it has to be one of my favorite rides at kings island I rode it at night so it made it 10 times better because you couldn't see and couldn't entisapate the turns and all that
I went to Kings Island for the first time yesterday and was so excited to ride The Beast. Unfortunately I ended up badly hurting my neck. Even this morning my neck is still in tremendous pain. I'm in my mid-20s and have traveled all over to ride roller coasters, this has never happened. I don't know why this ride is so highly recommended. If you ride it just be careful. I'll be stocking up on pain killers today and crossing my fingers the pain will be more bearable soon.
