We were so excited to come to this beautiful house. We had the most exciting docent, Jay, who was a retired teacher, and who was terrific at telling us the history and an entertaining way! This is one of the most beautiful gothic revival houses that I've ever seen. And it's wonderful that it's not super dark wood like most of them are. The gardens are lovely. The people that work here are just as wonderful as can be. They love this house as much as their visitors do.

Pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed visiting here. If you want to visit, you go to the grey carriage house in to the back right of the house to purchase a $10.00 adult ticket. While inside there, you watch a quick 5-7 minute video about the history of the house. After that, you will be able to go on a guided tour. Our guide was, Ellen (she was fantastic) and was very informative. The whole tour of the inside of the house took about 60-75 minutes.

The curator, David, very intelligent, a man of many hats I would recommend don’t talk and pay attention

Great local historical site. Mansion tours are available as well as some theme tours with actors re-enactments of times in history.
