The Countertop Shop, Monclova OH

So disappointed.walked in today with a serious redo, the woman that approached me was so uninterested, she spent maybe 5 minutes with me, I disturbed her with a question I had.she asked me if I had a layout, which I didn't. This was my first day out looking. Would it of been so much to explain to me the different options of redoing kitchen countertops? The minute a guy came in, she ran to him, I WAS INVISIBLE. I will not come back and of course they don't care, there were 4 other men in the building and didn't even bother. Doesn't matter, I have $ to spend and its not on them.

They offer a great selection! Amy, Sarah and Melissa were so helpful and easy to work with! The countertops in my kitchen and bathroom turned out absolutely beautiful!

100% positive experience from beginning to end! Kailyn was so helpful with our selection of our stone. She had very insightful suggestions and knew what she was talking about. The wait wasn’t long, they were prompt with coming out measure, and installation went smoothly. My countertops are beautiful! I would absolutely do business with The Countertop Shop again! Price, service, timeline, and install - outstanding!

We worked with Jim as our sales person. We had our original countertops done less than a year ago and worked with a young lady, the process was seamless. We ordered with her and everything was exactly as we wanted. The installation was amazing along with our installers.
Now we get to our second experience. We decided to add a large island. We understood the color could have a slight variation since it was not from the same lot. No big deal. I was very specific about the cut and edges. Obviously to match the existing countertops. Jim may have been more interested in discussing the job he did for my husband’s company vs listening to what I wanted. I won’t even discuss the time it took to get. When it arrived we had round edges vs straight square edges. Now let’s get to the installation! Two of the four young men were our original installers, I was happy to seem them. The other two well this is were it gets good. The one installer attaching the sink felt it was ok to scream at the top of his lungs profanity at the helper in my home. Telling him to do his F.job and on and on. This installer also left silicone hand prints on unsealed granite that still exist. Then when the sealer was bad like jello he still applied it after being questioned about it. My top was sticky, round edges, and grainy. I called the shop to talk about the edges and the sealant we were told we signed off on the drawing and the edge design was discussed with us at the time they came out and measured. I said they were not. It was discussed at the time of purchase. I said on the drawing we checked the edge name to make sure it was correct and we assumed we were getting what we ordered. They said they would call back and never did I had to call back. They said they could cut down out top and try to square it out. I said I still don’t understand who decided round edges were ok. No answer except it was our fault.
They resealed the top. Yet we are left with two hand prints by our sink, round edges, grainy top, and the owner could not be bothered to call us back about his installation men yelling in my home. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. When you spend 3000 on that part a call would have been nice.

ITS RIDICULOUS THAT THE OWNER WOULD COMMENT ON REVIEWS AFTER 3 MONTHS. SLIGHTLY MADDENING AFTER LOOKING AT A COUNTER TOP THAT LOOKS TERRIBLE EVERYDAY! THANK YOU FOR TAKING CARE OF THIS AT THE TIME, OBVIOUSLY YOU COULD NOT BE BOTHERED TO RETURN A CALL.

Fast friendly service! The staff was awesomely helpful. Highly recommend if you are looking for new countertops.

Kailyn was awesome! We had literally been shunned at two other local countertop places who wouldn't even help us or acknowledge us! We were told we needed appointments and all we wanted to do was find out about countertops in general, the types and finishes, etc. We walked into the Countertop Shop and a bright, smiling girl walked up to us and asked if we needed help. She not only showed us all of the types, but she took us to the remnant yard to make sure they had what we needed and reserved it. Really, we only went to get ideas, but three weeks later we have a beautiful new countertop! Scott was so nice and measured it perfectly, and can't praise the installers enough! They did an amazing job and were very polite and helpful! I will definitely recommend The Countertop Shop!

Very very impressed. The men who installed our countertop were professional, polite, nice guys. The quality is awesome. Cannot say enough good about this company. Hats off to Chris at Blue Creek cabinets for working with this company. Class all around.

We have been working with The Countertop Shop for a number of years. We’ve worked with other countertop fabricators and installers and not one has measured to the level of quality, craftsmanship and professionalism. We highly recommend The Countertop Shop if you are looking for a project well done!

Terrible customer service, had granite counters installed and the installation was all wrong, countertop was left floating not touching cabinets, gaps fillid in with tons of silicon and the seam was not level. They sent out a different crew to fix, they had to break apart seams remove counters and reinstall and I hope your time isn't valuable as mine is because I had a 2 o'clock appointment and they didn't show up til 4: 30. Seams don't seem to be there specialty because the color for the seam doesn't match but the crew wanted to leave being it was now 8: 30. There was a chip that was filled from the take apart that really stood out, so I said something and the Installer pulled out a sharpie marker and touched it up? How long will that last? And they were gone. So I am left with silicone slopped all over my cabinets and seams that the color doesn't match that I have to fix at my own time and expense. Talked to the owner Mike about my concerns and all I got from him was well not all jobs go perfect and he actually hung up on me. Won't be going back!

Stopped at their shop and selected what materials we were looking for, then we set up time and they came out and set up their digital measuring system and then provided us with shop drawings to approve, I made a few changes for the fabrication and paid half down. They came out in less than two weeks with the finished countertops and installed them, I provided the new sink and after they were all completed the service tech.noticed a crack in the new sink, they had to take off the new countertop and remove the sink so I could take the sink back for a new one which wasn't heir fault and appreciated that they saw the hairline crack as I didn't notice it. We rescheduled them to come out the new day and they installed the new under mounted sink and finished their installation. At that time I paid the rest of the invoice due and we couldn't be more satisfied with the results! We just love our new Quartz countertops and would recommend The Countertop Shop to anyone, in fact I am having them quote countertops for my Daughters house.

I visited this store today to look for counters for my home. I browsed around for about 10 minutes; no one acknowledged my presence or asked if I needed help. I concluded they were not interested in my business. A caucasian man was asked if he needed help. He was standing less than a foot from me, however I was invisible to them. Save yourself some time and choose another company.

This is the best place in northwest Ohio for any countertop design and installation! It is locally owned is ran with the highest standards and integrity.

Similar to another review, they were good to work with until there was a problem. It was also with quartz. They seemed to think it was my job to work with their supplier to fix the problem. I had to wait on their resolution with their supplier before they would do anything to help me with the poor quality material. They should have made it right for me right away regardless of whether or not their supplier would do the right thing.
In the end I got a replacement but it was in doubt for weeks and I felt horrible the whole time I had to deal with them.
