The Garrison, Fremont OH

Top notch local restaurant, so glad someone suggested this to me. Great service, delicious well prepared dishes. Very attractive and modern looking pub. Salmon and capers were amazing.

This was our first time dining at the Garrison and I can honestly say that we were completely satisfied, they were short staffed but still did an excellent job, everyone in our party enjoyed their food, drinks/beer we're good. I had a beer flight, then a regular glass and for anyone that enjoys draft beer, their draft is nice and cold! We had a mix of food from, burgers to tacos to sausage/sauerkraut. Kids even got dessert and not one complaint

Late dinner, great food, nice atmosphere, good service. Took a bit but good things come to those who wait. Be nice!

This was our first time here. The food was absolutely perfect. My wife had the Seabass and I had the brisket. Everything was very presentable when it came out and tasted just as good. The only recommendation I would have is to put the sauce on the side for the brisket. Our waitress was Stephanie and she did an absolutely amazing job.

In a word.delicious.
Had the Blood Orange Salmon, hubby had the fish and chips, both great. Lemon Lucy drink sooo sweet and tasty. Brownie with buckeye ice cream was amazing.
No complaints here.

The Garrison was very nice. We wanted to try something new and the 30 minute drive was worth it. The place has great rustic decor with modern lighting, large bar upstairs and huge patio for warmer months. The food did not disappoint, our party of four each tried something different and nobody had an issue. Burgers, pulled pork, sausage, brussel sprouts all very good. Nice cocktails and beer selection. Pat our server was very friendly and did a great job. Thank you and we will be back

The food and drink options were extensive and all delicious. The building and atmosphere were pretty cool too!

A very nice downtown restaurant but food preparation is inconsistent. I had lunch there three times. Nothing on the schnitzel plate good. Schnitzel was dry and tough, and the German potatos tasted awful. Had the Bay of Fundy Salmon plate that was very good except the grilled green beans were burned, dry and very chewy. Had the Flat Iron Steak plate and everything was very good. Service was friendly and prompt.

The appetizers alone saved a sad two star review. Other than that, the service was slow and the servers fight over who have to bus which tables.

As for the food, the meat was not fresh. Tough, under seasoned, and not cooked to any semblance of satisfaction. Two people at our table had steaks and 3 others had fish. Each one was a disappointment.

After reading so many shining reviews, I can only imagine that we came at a time when a less experienced chef (with no concern for quality) was cooking.

What a gem. Firecracker shrimp, chicken quesadilla, cod and fries, sausage and kraut.
Service, food, and atmosphere was great. Call ahead for reservations is suggested.

We sat on the patio which had a big tent with clear walls to contain the tables and gas fireplace. It was a Saturday night. They had live music and excellent service. There was a wide variety of food to choose from and it was absolutely delicious!

Had the Mahi Mahi and my husband had the sirloin. Great food and reasonable prices. The band was fabulous!

We had roast beef sandwich with mash potatoes. Very tender and good. I will definitely order this again. Our waitress (Stephanie) is very helpful and friendly. We just love her.

The atmosphere was very comfortable. However my fries were on the edge of being cold and my sisters mashed were also cold. The Waitress had us take the food off our plate and put in on another she microwaved my sisters was not the best experience. Our first and possibly our last. I'm sorry.
