I have visited The Goat for brunch and dinner. Both meals were excellent. The drinks are good too.

They are slightly more expensive, so avoid the run-of-the-mill bar food and go for their more interesting options. Their fried green tomatoes are really good and an interesting take on the southern dish.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THE GOAT
The atmosphere is so inviting with wide open windows a patio and outside bar seating.
The staff are so kind we had a small mishap with our flatbread pizza the other day but our server Lydia immediately told the manager Baylee who came to speak with us and sincerely apologetic she even bought us a round of drinks! (this shows the care this business actually takes with their quality of standards and care for their customers!) this is a rare thing nowadays
by the way the Paloma and Blueberry mules are to die for!
I highly recommend this place for a nice date spot family spot and even a late night spot!

Used to be a favorite place because the food was good, hot and the location is so close. Disclaimer, I’m posting this late - our experience was from end of May 2023. It was not a good experience. It was a Sunday around 12: 30pm we came in for brunch specifically to have the fried green tomato entree because a few weeks earlier when we ordered, they had run out. That time the food was just ok, not great but we wanted to give them another try. This time was worse - it took 45 minutes to get our food that then came out COLD! Like not like warm but COLD! What? How is that possible? Only one of the three entrees we ordered were hot, the two friend green tomato entrees were ice cold like they had sat in the window the entire 45 minutes. The manager did comp both our entrees but we went home and had to make our own food because there was no point taking home cold, dried out food. Ugh. So frustrating!
It so sad. We really hope they have improved things in the last few months but we have yet to go back. Been going to this location since it moved down the street and the original location 17 years now. Not sure we’re ready to try again. Maybe some day.

Food was pricey which isn't all that bad of a thing because I get what they're going for but unfortunately it just didn't taste good enough to justify what they're charging.

The pork belly tots.these are an interesting one, and not in a good way. And more on "tots" in a second. These especially just didn't have enough meat to justify the price, after all, it's just the tots, an egg, and tiny diced pieces of pork belly. The cheese wiz on top is also a bizarre choice. A few other things of note with these is that they're listed under the appetizers section of the menu but they're a single serving food item, I don't see this being enough to share for a table of four. Also, these aren't tots, let's be real, these are small potatoes that have been halved. It took me a few seconds to figure out what this item was when it was set down in front of me because I don't picture halved potatoes when I order tater tots.

Chicken tenders were good, especially when paired with with hot honey to dip them in, but then again, it's pretty hard to mess up chicken tenders, that's why they're a safe bet for most any American restaurant to offer. On the top of hot honey, it had great flavor but it was very watery. You almost have to leave the tender in the honey to soak for a few seconds because the second you lift it out of the sauce container it all drips off.

Mac n cheese was solid, cheesy, and not dry and had a nice cheese topping melted over the top as well.

The American burger was tasty and included two smash burger style patties and the usual lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles. This was probably one of the most justifiably priced items we ordered.

Fries were great, no problems there, but the ketchup they used was not for me, nor anyone at our table. Not sure if it's homemade or just not Heinz but it has a very strange flavor.

All in all, it's a cool place with a great sounding menu that has lots to offer and some solid cocktails, but for the price, the flavor is seriously lacking.

The food is reasonably priced for the portions. The drink selection is on point. It's a great place to meet up with friends for food and drinks.

Nashville hot chicken flat bread was delicious!
Update: boneless chicken wings and brussel sprouts are amazing too
Update 2: tried the barbacoa tots, bone-in traditional wings, and rishi chai today - everything is still great
Update 3: basic cheese pizza was really flavorful.
I've really enjoyed coming weekly for volleyball and hanging out afterwards at the restaurant.

It wasn’t crowded at lunch but our group had to wait for our food; however our server was very attentive.

This place was recommended by a local family member and it did not disappoint! It’s tucked back in a townhouse community and it offered a large table to seat our family. The food was tasty and the flavor profiles were definitely intentional to delight the palate. Portions were good size and the service was fast and friendly.

Josey was the best server I’ve ever had. So attentive and kind. Would recommend everyone to ask for her when going to have great service with a fun personality!

Worst experience i’ve had in years. Food was good but came soggy and the toppings on the menu didn’t even come on the tacos! I literally stood up front for 5 minutes and the dude up front even looked at me. So I was forced to walk up to them and ask about my order just to find out it’s been sitting there for 20 minutes! Step up your game

Yet another order from that goat that is missing items and my burger is so undercooked on the inside it’s red not pink but red. My fries are cold and over salted. They used to have such great food, but the last two meals I have purchased here to go have been pitiful. Just hope I don’t get sick from this one.

REVIEWED EDIT:
After Mrs. Wagner reached out to me, I went back to The GOAT and have a new perspective. My waitress was extremely sweet and efficient. She really knew what she was doing. I ordered the "Mac Daddy" flatbread and really enjoyed it- and took my leftovers home! I order the salt and vinegar chips again as well, and again wasn't super impressed with them but didn't hate them. The flatbread was awesome though, I seriously recommend it. The best part is that even thought I spoke with Mrs. Wagner, the staff had no idea who I was or that I was coming at all, so I can be sure that they treated me with respect without worrying about the fact that I was reviewing them. After my experience here this afternoon I would recommend this place. Thank you so much for the opportunity to update my review!

This was the first time ever visiting The Goat because my boss gave me a gift card. I was really excited to try it because the place looks so cute and the menu sounded good. I started with the salt and vinegar chips with the chive dip. I was SO disappointed because I love salt and vinegar. The chips were extremely stale and very chewy, it was clear to me that they had been left out a long time. They also had no salt or vinegar flavor, so they were essentially chewy, plain chips. I did like the chive dip, but didn't expect that to be the star of the show. I also ordered the Barbacoa street taco which sounded really yummy but I was even more disappointed then they arrived. The shredded beef was super dry and tough and had no flavor, and the tortillas were so dry and brittle, they seemed stale too. They were also extremely spicy, but I think some people might like that so not necessarily a complaint, just a forewarning! My waitress was sweet but very awkward and our interactions were incredibly stiff. She never introduced herself to me and didn't stop to check on me so I had to flag her down a couple of times. She was great with requests and refills though, but I think sometimes waitstaff disregards people that are eating alone (like I was) because they know the tips will be smaller. To be fair I don't blame them, and I still tipped her 22%. Overall the experience was very lonely and saddening when I expected good food and energy from the staff; I would not recommend to others.

We were planning on having dinner at the Goat yesterday with a party of 4. Unfortunately, after waiting over an hour for our food and asking the waitress if our food would be ready soon, we were informed that it would be a minimum of an additional 30 minutes. The waitress then offered to cancel our food order and just close out our bar tab. If we had not walked up to the hostess desk and asked if our food would be ready soon, we would likely still be waiting for it. We received very little explanation for the extended delay. Mind you, the restaurant was only about half full on a Thursday night. Unless you have 2 hours of your life to just throw away, I recommend trying a different restaurant first.
