The Home Depot Distribution Center reviews
18 An amazing facility, lots of organization, and bunch of delicious food options 8-)
I'm a fan
I just want to say you guys should be example how every distribution center should be, from the security guard check in to the check out. Ladies in guard check are extremely nice and polite (extremely appreciated thank you!) And receiving staff and the management that cares and appreciate us drives, I appreciate your service. I checked in few hours before my appointment, drop trailer to get live unload, got a call that it was empty and out on my way in less than 2 hours. Keep up the great service guys! There is a truck stop right across the road so perfect place to deliver a load.
This place is nice. Usually in and out in 2 hours or less. Entrance in right across from pilot.
UPDATE: 94.5 hours and NO phone call. The unloading experience here is borderline criminal. Food for thought, truck drivers are Home Depot customers too.
As a driver with one truck and one trailer, I was told 24-48 hours by the broker, and planed a 34 hour reset during the 48 hour.
It's now day three, with no capabilities of making any further plans due to my trailer being held hostage.
Missed my pickup today in Fremont, OH. First time I every missed a pick up. Losing $2,400.
We are out of service, losing approximately $800 per day, due to this Home Depot's failure to unload in a normal and timely fashion.
Please notice this is my first review ever, and I've been to thousands of facilities.

This morning, I phoned the guardhouse and was told my trailer would be unloaded probably today Saturday.
It's now Sunday, no word.
Sunday 1129 I called, trailer is now ready for pick-up.
Out the gate at 1: 00 pm
Obviously you will not receive a phone call of any kind in regards to the status of your trailer.
This place does not care about their employees, and u get treated like slaves, they expect u to run like you're the machine
Went for an empty trailer. The first guard checked and said none were avail and can turn around behind guard shack to not hold up the other trucks coming in. The female guard screamed and wouldn't open the gate so we could turn around. I understand your policy about not being on the property without a reason but making a "k" turn, while trucks are backing up, is extremely unsafe! Need better policies but as our dispatcher said, at 10 an hr, you get what you pay for!
45 minutes to check with guard waiting line.i cant imagine how long i have to stay here to unloading.
Dropped my trailer 16: 40 on 17: 00 appt. They’ve send me to the pilot across the street. Told me they’ll give me a call. At 21: 10 I called them and they told me that my trailer was empty. Make sure you call after hour and a half to check cuz they might forget you like they did forget me
Easy drop, friendly guards. If you don't have an empty to go with, that can ruin a drivers day though. Several things can happen, hours lost searching for one, miss next scheduled load, most places won't let you pick up unless you have a empty to drop, this company should adopt that plan or unload your trailers on time so empties are available. Someone is dropping the ball bigtime at this place.
The lot is huge, but all the drivers end up in the same narrow area. Really hard to get in spots, super tight. Staff was polite.
Just did a live unload today. They told me that they have two hours from my appointment time to unload me. I was unloaded in 1 hour. The security at the gate and the shipping clerk were all polite and nice.
If you are dropping a trailer be prepared to wait the full 72 hrs, they are saying that they are unloading hazmat with priorities, not true! Already 48hrs here, when you call to check on the trailer they are calling the broker saying that you are haressing them, they even came up with the story that i went in to the facility to check on the trailer! Stay away!
Super crowded almost all day. Takes 30 minutes or longer to get into the place and they barely have space to fit your trailer. They need to expand a little.
Rude rude rude then to make matters worse they change your load and u end up going to some place worse than what you were there for to begin with.
It was ok, but not my regular haul.not home depots fault but it was a forced dispatch in New Jersey and I did not appreciate that, I sighned on to haul steel, out of k.y. Not Jersey local hauls, but I do like there stores.
Be careful. The yarddog drivers drive 3 times the speed limit while staring at the phone.
U must were a safety vest and still wach your 6.
Don't take riders there they will curbside them even spouses not unless they are co drivers that's why I take no riders with me even your kids will be curbside
Not a bad place to work. Good pay for pretty easy work. They give us free food decently often. Haven't had any problems with co-workers.
