We stayed here 9/6 and 9/7/2023. This park caters to seasonal renters, but saves a few spots for travelers staying just a few nights. It's geared to families and was almost deserted after Labor Day. Lots of empty trailers without occupants. The park is older and needs updating. The bathrooms have vault toilets and the shower is very primitive. Everything else was locked up and shut down. For $60 a night, we expected better facilities. Our site had trash and there was trash around the bathouse. I'm sure this is a fun place for kids in the summer, but it wasn't our cup of tea.

I will never go there, not because of the bad reviews but because of the owners' replies to the bad reviews. Take a class on how to run your business better

I started camping here when i was 14 years old. I had a very horrible time at the lake campground. I camped there for three seasons and at first I loved it, over time though it spiraled downwards. There were multiple problems i personally had with the owners.
-They had problems with me parking my car in an empty lot that a neighbor allowed.
-They called my mom about my bathing suit being "inappropriate" because it was a tan color and wanted me to cover up myself. (I'm 17 years old)
-I was swimming one day with my friend and an old guy who was camping there was taking pictures of us, a lady came up to us and told us what was going on so we covered ourselves with our towels. She told the lifeguard and they told the owners and the owners simply asked him and he said no he wasn't and that was the end of it.
-They have some strict rules (in my opinion) like no riding your golf cart after dark, you have to be 21 or older to ride a golfcart (even though their 9 year old child could drive theirs), no cusing, no being loud after 11pm (even though there were plenty of parties happening after 11), no dogs in the lake (but their dogs could go in the lake)
-they were barely ever there.
I also had some separate things I just didn't like about the campground overall.
-the roads in the campground are terrible.
-They took away the diving boards
-the concession stand was always closed (or their 9 year daughter was working it)
-the minigolf was always half put up.
-they have little to no activities going on on for older kids.
I still had fun there because of the friends I made but my overall experience with the place has been negative. These are all problems I can think of at the moment but i might add more if I think of it. I know alot of families are doing this for their kids and I can tell you right now if they are like 10 or older, they probably won't have fun. Please don't camp here. This is my genuine opinion and I just want to be honest so people know what they are getting into with this place.
