I could not be happier with the Laurels - both the facility and staff have exceeded my expectations. My aunt was bounced between hospitals and rehabs for the weeks prior to her arrival at the Laurels; she was disoriented, highly agitated and desperate to “go home” and then almost immediately came to see the Laurels as home. The medical staff took her seriously, listened to her concerns and immediately resolved the source of her discomfort that was either ignored or missed by CCF and UH. Unfortunately, she is now too healthy to stay but doesn’t want to leave. As anyone that has ever loved an aging relative will know - that’s not as much a problem as a ringing endorsement.

The team at the Laurel's of Chagrin Falls have been very kind and helpful to my family member who has been there for years now. She feels that she is well cared for and grateful to the staff. Her physical therapy has worked wonders. She is now able to stand, walk and dress herself. Huge progress! We appreciate their care especially during the lock down since she is alone. We are able to visit often and she is in good spirits. Thank you Laurel's team!

To the staff, management and nurses of The Laurels of Chagrin Falls, I would like to extend my gratitude for the excellent care of my Mother. Any and all request on my family's behalf were met with promptness and consideration to my family members underlying needs. I can wholeheartedly recommend that for any family member that is tasked with the responsibility of making the decision on where to send a loved one for skilled nursing that they consider and shortlist The Laurels of Chagrin Falls among those that they plan to get in contact with.

If I could give this place a one star I would! My family member arrived there this weekend, no one called our family to let us know she arrived safely! Also, its been impossible to reach our loved one. No ones answers the phones at this so called nursing home! We had to call the local police to do a wellness check on our loved one. DO NOT SEND your loved ones to this horrendous place. They will be left to die alone, with no nursing care provided to them.

I put my mom in this facility a few months back after she was released from the hospital for rehab. I absolutely refused to send her back to Menorah Park so I selected
The Laurels from a list of options and prayed for the best. My mom came here unable to walk and and barely talking with the docs pretty much giving up all hope of a full recovery. The rehab staff have done an OUTSTANDING
job with my mom that is nothing short of a miracle. They have had some turnover since she has been here which has been frustrating for me at times, but the admin keep in constant communication
With me which has kept me at ease. The difference between here and other places is that the staff really
Cares about the residents and truly encourages them. They celebrate their success as if it is their own family member
are so also very warm and friendly in their interactions. This is the first facility that my mom has called “Home”.

Let me start by saying that I work in the healthcare field. This facility has been through multiple DONs and administrators in the past year, and due to this no one has been accountable for the medical errors, lapse in communication and poor care that my mother in-law has received while residing at the Laurels. There are wonderful nurses that work here but they are few and far between and they do not have the time or personnel to give quality care that each patient deserves. It is difficult to get a hold of anyone on nights or weekends. There is rarely a nurse available to give orders to when needed. It took over 2 weeks for a physicians office to get in touch with someone to change a medication. At another point, direct orders were given to a nurse and the medication simply wasn’t started. These are HUGE errors. All we were simply told “I am not sure what happened, we are sorry”. On a daily basis, simple orders have not been followed. She almost ended back in the hospital with leg infections because of their lack of care and oversight and ignoring direct orders from vascular medicine and treating her with orders from their in house podiatrist. If you have a choice to place a loved one here, look elsewhere.

Avoid at all costs. Lost family member's cell phone. Claims to not know where it is. Has not returned phone calls. Awful.

For the past few years our company has worked w high needs residents at the Laurels we have brought patients to this facility for care and have been very pleased. Both w the care of our patients and in working with the Laurels. The director is very accomodating and the care given has been excellent. I recommend our patients to this facility and the new team in place.

Drove up from PA to visit a long time friend. Staff very helpful and nice. Building older and carpet was extremely dirty, in all the main hallways, my friend room was surprisingly new and updated.

My favorite uncle found himself needing rehabilitation, this place is a hidden gem in Chargrin Falls. Helpful staff, with a solid therapy department.

My mother stayed here for short term rehab. Staff was very helpful, and the therapy department outstanding. My mother had her own private room, great window view, and extremely spacious. The only negatives is the location, and part of the building needs renovation very badly.

MY family member stayed here last June. I never wrote a review because it is just not my thing. However, several people have asked me for recommendations, of where to place their loved ones for rehab, hospice, and long term care, and I think this small community is perfect for families looking to get great care to their loved ones. It may not have all the bells and whistles like the other places in Chagrin Falls, but it does feel like home.

Should not be in business. Mold in the shower and on curtains, the only tiny fridge to place patient drinks or ice cream is in a small dungeon room, help call response is 2 hours if at all, unorganized, bad communication, received admission papers the same day as discharge papers one week later! Kept $8000 for one week of patient care and never refunded for the other 3 weeks! Dirty facility

The new ownership and management since September 1,2017 has no idea how to run a nursing facility. The administrative management was never available. My loved one was there for 3 months and we, never saw the director of nursing, never had a care conference on the level of care they were providing, and the staff was scare and never to be found when needed. My loved one was afraid to speak out of line or she was told by the nursing staff that she was never leaving and to be quiet. Simple clinical procedures you would hope the nursing staff would have skills to perform they did not and they would threaten to send out to the hospital. My loved one is no longer there she is currently at a facility that treats her with dignity and respect and that the facility is her home! This facility is not safe and should be closed!
