The Little Bar, Columbus OH

This place has a really interesting layout for a campus bar. Came here on a Thursday for karaoke, and it was quite busy! Bartenders were very quick to serve and friendly and security at the door seemed to be well managed.

I have been going to The Little Bar for their Karaoke Thursday Night event for a bout 4 months in 2022. This past Thursday when I was there I had a disagreement with one of the fellow patrons of the Bar. His name is Dave and he was obviously very drunk. He asked management to "kick me out" of the bar. The manager simply asked me to sit somewhere else. I agreed and sat by the stage to support the other singers.

I sang multiple songs that night and spent time interacting with the bartenders and other employees of the bar. The attitude of the evening was very pleasant.

At around 1: 40am an employee who had not been present all evening, I think his name is Billy, entered the room and walked up to the table that I was sitting at and said, "why are you still here"? "you were asked to leave earlier this evening. " I said, "strange, I've been singing, dancing, and talking with several customers and everyone of the employees who have been working this evening and not one of them asked me to leave and they even complimented me on my singing. "

He said "I know what's going on, you have to go. " I said " this doesn't even make sense. " He replied, " Life doesn't make sense, you have to go. " I said, "I just have one more song to sing and the place closes in 20min anyway, what is your problem? " He gathered support from the other employees and they all insisted that I leave.

O.h. I.o is all I have to say come out on a home game and experience the great atmosphere people go bucks.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I am a resident of Columbus and I have a service dog. I was denied entrance to the location although I have all the legal documentation proving that the dog is a trained service animal and not a “pet” as they described him. I was not given the opportunity to present any of my documentation, although under law I am not obligated to show anything, I still was willing to do so simply to not let the evening be ruined. Their attitude was nasty, they were rude and were not willing to listen. Their act was discriminatory. I really hope nobody else goes through this situation.

This bar ILELGALLY DISCRIMINATES against service animals and ADA compliance laws. I was turned away by the manager who told us he did not care about the law and did not permit me to enter with my service animal. He told us to find another bar as the street was full of other bars that could allow our service animal. We left as arguing with ignorant staff such as this is not worth our time. Do not go here is you have a disability be it mental or physical as they are ignorant and uncaring for the law

Place is pretty nice inside. Good drink prices. I was a little surprised when we got the tab and an automatic tip was already added for just two people. Left a little more but would have tipped way more had that not happened. Was in poor taste. Not a bad spot for campus drinking.

Waited in line for 3 hrs for bar crawl shirt but misled us into thinking they had more shirts in fact they only had 20. Students were waiting for long time only to end up dissatisfied.

My friends and I showed up 2 hrs in advance to buy senior bar crawl shirts, and were among the first 30 people in line. The bartender was aware he only had 1 box of shirts and did not consider to tell the rest of the 200 other people in line that there were not enough shirts for even the first 30 people.

Waited in line for 3 hours for senior bar crawl shirts and mislead us and only had 20 shirts. Never told the line about only having less shirts even though they were aware of only having one box of shirts (there were atleast 300 people in line)

Pretty alright as far as campus bars go but they probably got the best kept bathrooms of any spot

Little bar is cool and all but bad customer service bc the didn’t play the queue I bought on the jukebox hero even though I paid for it bartenders are awesome tho great job girls

Dad's Weekend. Had a great time with son and all. This is a typical college town bar. It was a reserved event so service was good.

Bought two doubles and was told it was $28 “because it’s game day. ” Prices are an absolute scam when they can get away with it. Could’ve taken an Uber to the gas station, bought a bottle of liquor, came back, and it would’ve been cheaper, tasted better, and faster than the service. Not gonna lie still had a fun night there though, 2 stars

Don't come here after 8PM if you're under 30. Sad to write this because my colleagues and I love to come here for happy hour. Prices are great and I enjoy the atmosphere. BUT after 730/8 the evening staff shows up and everything changes. If you're not clearly over 30 they will treat you with rudeness and condescension. I guess they think it's fine since the undergrads put up with it.

Staff was very friendly. Prices were fair. Atmosphere was cool. Pretty much an all around ok bar to stop in. College centric.

I have had great memories over here. Many of them with my colleagues in school to celebrate a small occasion. You will find cheap decent drinks here and the patio is just very lovely during the summer. You can also enjoy most of their happy hour times which are very different and good for each day in a week.
