A really enjoyable stay in a peaceful location. Dining experience, especially outdoors amid good weather, is unbeatable. Great food.

Murphin Ridge Inn is a gem of a place. Andy and Rhonda make you feel at home. Stellar food and service. They make you feel like you just arrived at your best friends house. They have raised the bar in hospitality.

Secluded in the tranquil heart of Ohio's Amish country, Murphin Ridge Inn stands not just as a tranquil refuge, but as a welcoming home away from home. From our very first step into the Inn, we were met with genuine warmth and an inviting atmosphere that signaled the beginning of a memorable stay.

To label Murphin Ridge Inn as merely an 'Inn' is an understatement. In my perspective, it effortlessly elevates itself to the standards of a five-star resort, harmonizing rural charm with superior hospitality.

Our memorable one-night getaway unfolded within the cozy confines of Cabin #2, an idyllic fusion of rustic charm and modern comfort. Every detail, down to the high-quality toilet paper, handy lint rollers, and shoe rags, underscored the Inn's commitment to ensuring guest satisfaction and comfort.

The culinary journey at the Inn was remarkable. We savored a flavorful chicken dinner at an additional cost, every bite proving to be a worthwhile indulgence. The Inn's margaritas, an exquisite blend of tart lime and robust tequila, were among the best we've ever had. The following morning, we were treated to an included breakfast of scrumptious pancakes and perfectly crisped bacon, setting a delightful tone for our day.

The Inn's pristine pool provided a refreshing oasis from the summer heat, offering breathtaking views and a congenial setting for socializing. It was here that we quickly formed friendships with fellow guests, adding a rich tapestry of shared experiences to our brief stay.

The evening was marked by a gathering around the Inn's impressive in-ground fire pit, encircled by comfortable chairs. This bonfire, shared in the company of our newfound friends, added an element of warmth and camaraderie that resonated well into the cool night.

Our journey to this rural haven was guided by a simple query to ChatGPT - seeking the best place to stay near the historical Serpent Mound. The AI model's recommendation was spot-on, leading us to the doorstep of Murphin Ridge Inn and positioning us conveniently close to the ancient cultural site.

Nestled in the heart of Amish country, our stay also opened up opportunities to explore nearby Amish stores. These provided an intriguing glimpse into a different, simpler way of life, adding depth to our cultural experiences.

Additional amenities, such as the tennis court and serene hiking trails, added layers of activity and tranquility to our brief stay, catering to a variety of interests.

In summary, Murphin Ridge Inn is far more than a traditional Inn; it's a hidden gem that elevates a countryside retreat to a five-star resort experience. Here, delectable cuisine, top-tier amenities, and the joy of newfound friendships converge to craft an unforgettable stay, even if it was just for one night. It left such an indelible impression on us that we eagerly anticipate our return, this time for a much longer stay!

Great stay a couple of weeks ago. We arrived late on Friday night which was so sad, people at breakfast Saturday morning were going on about the pizzas. Great staff great atmosphere, best ribs and steaks you could ever imagine. Will be back. Thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway.

A beautiful B&B in the middle of the Amish country. Great get-away for a quiet retreat. Walking paths, good food, some updated decor, pool, fire pit, and endless Vistas. We have been coming here for vacations for about 20 years, and it never disappoints.

This is our fourth visit to Murphin Ridge Inn. Clearly my wife and I think highly of it. This was a one night, short weekend visit for my wife’s birthday, and again, it did not disappoint.

We’ve always stayed in the cabins so my review of the accommodations cover only the cabins. The cabins are located in the woods near the main house where breakfast and dinner are served. The cabins are for couples only. They are well appointed with Amish furniture. Some cabins feature king sized beds and some queen sized beds. The spaces are clean and rustic with modern amenities. Gas fireplaces, 2 person whirlpool tubs and 2 person showers. No TV, but our Verizon service worked for texting and watching Netflix. If you want to relax this is the place. NO NOISE, aside from birds and the occasional wind gust, but no airplanes, traffic, or sirens. Just nature.

The food is amazing and the staff is friendly and eager to please. The attached pictures don’t do the food justice. I ordered the 16oz ribeye. Without exaggeration it weighed over 32oz. I suspect these are hand cut by the chef and he prefers to cut to a certain thickness regardless of the weight of the steak. Everything was amazing. It’s not cheap, but I promise if you consider yourself a “foodie”, you will love it. Breakfast is included and the menu is set by the chef. Again it has never disappointed.

This review is getting long in the tooth, and I could keep going at length. We have never had even a mediocre experience at Murphin Ridge Inn and can’t wait to come back again.

We were there the first Friday in March.the night of horrendous gusting winds and pouring rain with tornadoes touching down close by. Electricity was out all over the county, including Murphin Ridge Inn. The candlelight ambiance at dinner was nice, but the limited menu was more limited because some food items could not be prepared. Not a problem for me, I wanted the salmon anyway, but it was $26 MORE than the broasted chicken I had ordered, which they kind enough to discount some. Dinner was delicious and all servers bent over backwards to deliver.

No electricity also meant cash register couldn't work, and we were all on the honor system to settle up Saturday morning. I don't know of many businesses that would be that good to their guests.

No heat and no hot water, but Andy and Brett were able to hook our room up to a generator so my CPAP worked! They went above and far beyond and I was VERY grateful because it meant I could sleep!

I can't recommend this business highly enough. The Inn is lovely, the food even better, but the proprietors are the BEST.

Excellent stay beautiful cabins n rooms the people are fantastic in the grand scheme of things I under tipped them I left 40.00 in the cabin for them and added 40.00 to my bill making it 80.00 in total but I feel that I should have asked for a staff count and left them all 40 bucks each and I intend on making it right at my first available opportunity they truly are incredible people out there! If you’re looking for true relaxation with quiet and no distractions this is the place for you there is no televisions in the cabins which I find to be wonderful now at first I was like umm no wifi no tv but I reconnected with my partner in a way that was deeper and more meaningful the lack of tv in the cabins now makes since because the shows we watch raise our emotions and and thoughts and can cause stress so being without it was a true blessing we spent a lot of time at the Amish shops nearby and spent way too much money but had a magnificent time and we will be back ASAP for another stay although I didn’t expect for them to run things the way they do so how it works is they give you tickets to sign for everything “food, drinks, snacks, gifts from gift shop” and you sign for it and it’s added to your total at the end of the stay dummy me didn’t think to add tips to everything like a fool and I deeply apologize for not catching onto that! And hope they will have us again!
