The Music Salon has been great to me. Sean McGary has taken me further as beginning guitar than I ever expected. He has a knack of going a just the right pace.

He seems to know every type of music and enjoys sharing your enthusiasm for music and guitar.

Can't recommend The Salon and Sean highly enough.

At 68 I was finally done with air guitar. I discovered The Music Salon and Sean from my 14 year old neighbor who was learning guitar for the first time. After two years he plays clubs with a rock band and duets with a inspiring vocalist. I look forward to my weekly lessons with Sean. We work on music that I am interested in and things that are targeted to my skill level. I highly recommend Sean and the Music Salon if you want learning guitar to be fun this is the place for you. I wrote and performed a a song with him my first year!

Taking guitar lessons at The Music Salon has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Sean has made learning as an adult so much easier than I anticipated. I’m looking forward to exploring the expanded location and programs!

Sean has a teaching style that will get you playing to your potential very quickly. Lessons are fun and very educational. He is certainly a pro in and out of the lesson room.

The Music Studio more than exceeded my expectations for guitar lessons for my son. As a parent, I wanted to be sure that my son would be safe and relaxed in order to be receptive to instruction. I have been very pleased with Sean and the instruction he gives. He took the time to consider my son's preferences and abilities and capitalized on his strengths and patiently works through the more difficult challenges.

My son is progressing very well, enjoys his lessons, and seems to connect with the lesson materials, since I never have to nag my son to practice. I may even be a little jealous, because I also play guitar, but never had the benefit of lessons.

We are all really looking forward to the launch of the new facility which surely will bring a whole new dimension to the learning opportunities available through The Music Salon. This is going to be awesome!

Sean explains quite well, too. Makes what seems complex quite easy to understand. Never thought I'd be able to read music, but I can, thanks to Sean, and I learned pretty quickly!

My 14-year-old son Jack loves his guitar lessons with Sean! Sean has a very warm, friendly demeanor that makes it easy for my son to connect with him and feel very comfortable. Sean challenges Jack just enough to push him to his potential while being very patient and encouraging. We couldn't ask for a better experience!

Sean is a patient, intuitive, and highly-skilled musician who cares greatly for his students tailoring their lesson experience and his teaching technique to each individual.

My son started guitar lessons at the Music Salon about six months ago and has enjoyed every minute. Appreciate the time, attention, and *patience*. Middle school boys can't be easy to teach ;)

Two of my boys took bass and guitar lessons from Sean for about two years. I cannot recommend him enough! Not only did they develop a life long love for playing, but due to Sean’s teachings and guidance, the boys were able to join a band and play on some major stages around the city beginning at the ages of just 13 and 14.

My 10 yr old daughter started taking bass lessons with Sean this past summer and loves it so much. He’s a great teacher and she’s excited to go every week, and come home and show us what she learned. He makes it fun for her by teaching her songs she likes.

Sean is the best. Never thought I would be able to play especially learning later in life. Sean was very patient with a beginner. Two years later Sean teaches me a new song every week. It's so much fun.

The Music Salon and Sean McGary came highly recommended. I knew I had chosen the right place after my first lesson. It was a fun and welcoming environment. Sean provides a great mix of musical theory, technical instruction, and learning to play songs. He also provides a personalized learning experience. Sean is a phenomenal guitarist, an excellent teacher, and an even better person. My guitar playing has dramatically improved over the past 8 months thanks to Sean. Sean is an excellent guitar teacher. When he first meets with you he evaluates your skill level and tailors his lessons specifically for you. He recognizes that not everyone learns in the same way. He also likes to balance technical learning with the fun of learning to play songs. Over the last five months or so, my skills have increased and I am playing better than I ever have in my life.
