The Old Bag of Nails Pub - Old Worthington reviews
20I love this place! Even when they're running on bare bones staff, always so friendly. The fish and chips are the best, we've always gotten huge crispy pieces of fish. I've gone to other locations but this one is the best by far and worth the drive.
Wow, what exciting history to learn about while enjoying the best fish and chips in the Columbus region. The staff team is super friendly and eager to please the hungry patrons whether it's great food selections or adult beverages. The establishment is very clean and well organized with pleasant decor throughout. I can't wait to return soon and enjoy another great selection from their diverse menu selections.
Great whitefish po’boy sandwich. Even though they have been short staffed due to the pandemic they are always super friendly and provide great service. Good beer selection too.
Great fish & chips, delicious french onion soup and wonderful customer service from Bill & Kim! They make you feel like a VIP & because of this they have a ton of loyal customers. Thank you & Happy Holidays! Kim & Mike
The food was really good. I got the spicy quesadilla and steak fries. They also brought a pudding cup out for my toddler and he loved this little treat.
Nothing about this visit was good. The staff was rude. We finally got our food but we had to go get our own silverware. I would suggest punishing yourself by eating here.
This is by far my favorite Old Bag of Nails. I love how small and cozy the inside of the pub is. I ordered carryout and the older lady bartending was wonderful. You could tell she was old school and her work ethic was just insane. Thanks for making my experience great and will be back soon!
Amazing! Love the food and staff.
The fish and chips are really good.
We had an order of fish and chips,
double stack cheese burger with fries,
2 small caesar salads,
coke and a tall cranberry/vodka to drink for $41
I would definitely go back.
Went today during Worthington Fair. Sweet girl at the counter was busting her tail for everyone, BY HERSELF and she rocked it. Food is always great.
Not dog friendly! No dogs allowed on the patio.
I visited specifically because it was "Dog Days" and Sunday Funday in Old Worthington and had read the reviews about pets being permitted on the patio.
I sat down with my dog to eat, waited way too long, then was told to leave because my dog was not welcome. I showed the server, then the manager, that Ohio Law allows dogs on patios AND the history of dogs being allowed at this establishment, but they refused service.
I’m not one to give bad reviews but I wasn’t happy with the overall service here and got food poisoning after eating here. The food was nice but I still got sick afterwards.
My son and I went on Tuesday the special was the New England Reuben $9.00 which was fish cheese coleslaw it was amazing along with that you get a drink which can be a milkshake or adult drink and a choice of a side I had the veggie skewer the whole meal was amazing. The only drawback was the gruff speaking waiter. That was the reason for taking one star away. It was a beautiful day and we sat outside.
I ordered the two for $7.99 lunch special so I got a chicken salad sandwich delicious and a side salad it was delicious too it had blue cheese on it which made it stand out the service was excellent
Reminder of what restaurants can do in the right location, with the right people. Cozy set up that welcomes you, paired with great tasting food and a attentive staff. Congrats to all for rocking it old school: great vibe, awesome staff and excellent food.
Service was exceptional and the food was delicious. Old Bag has the best fish! My kids always love their kid's meal choices. The staff were helpful and friendly. This is our first time at this location but we will definitely be back.
Very busy. They need more workers- not their fault. The food was excellent and our waitress was very friendly. I haven't had fish and chips this good since I was in Prince Edward Island!
Great, happy service but the fish was a bit dry. I've eaten at other locations and the fish was great so maybe it was just an off day here.
Our server Stephen was the best! Food delish, service excellent. Highly recommend fish and chips. Fish was cooked to perfection. Next time we are in Columbus we will be back
Had the worst service ever. Took over 30 minutes to have server take our order. Then they forget to bring out a meal. Now its been over 20 minutes since they have taken my card to get bill paid. Unfortunately we will not return and this is one of our families favorites places to eat. The server is not cut out for the job.
Being from Cape Cod, I was skeptical about the fish and chips special. Boy was I wrong. Battered just right and fried to golden perfection. Portion was right on for the price. Cole Slaw was tasty and not watery. My choice was steak fries over the French fries with a splash of malt vinegar. Great atmosphere, very friendly and accommodating. Will be back next time I'm in Columbus.
