My Sage was in The Pet Spot for a week while I was on vacation. They took excellent care of her and gave her plenty attention and love. I would recommend using this company but of course Sage was in a Villa Suite!

Thank you to Megan, Brian, Katie, Essence, and the entire Pet Spot Norwood, Ohio team for taking such good care of our sweet Weller. We were able to go on our vacation and enjoy our time away only because we knew that our girl was in such good hands. We appreciated the updates, pictures, walks, grooming, and the team’s quick response when Weller needed a visit to the vet. If I could give The Pet Spot a “10” on the Google Scale of 1-5, I most certainly would. We most definitely will be back. Cheers to The Pet Spot! Love You. Mean It.

They did a great job with our older dog with assisting her getting up as well as took her out the front rather than having her going up and down stairs. Also did a great job with our other dog who seemed quite content.

I strongly urge those of you reading this to do your research as there are other horror stories out there similar or worse than mine. Please do not take your pets here! We took our girl here for doggy daycare for a short time last fall & had a horrendous experience. After one of her visits she ended up with laceration in her leg & ended up needing 6 stitches. None of the staff could tell us what happened to her & they weren’t even aware that she was injured in the first place! They have multiple cameras in the facility & per their policy there are supposed to be 2 employees with the dogs watching them at all times, so I find it very hard to believe that nobody knew she was injured & nobody knew what happened. My fiancé noticed that she was injured as soon as he saw her, it would have been very hard to miss. The Pet Spot’s theory on what might have happened made no sense & contradicted what the vet that treated her reported to us. Strangely, there was no blood visible when my fiancé picked her up, it was as if someone had cleaned her up or it happened hours beforehand. I don’t know what’s worse, staff cleaning her up & lying about it, or nobody even noticing or caring that my baby was hurt. Pet Spot’s explanation was that maybe another dog that had been showing signs of anxiety & aggression might have “nipped” my dog on her way to being brought out to my fiancé. Might I add that it really irritates me that they used the word “nipped” because in my opinion a nip doesn’t require sedation & stitches, a nip is minor, & I do not appreciate them trying to minimize my dogs injury or her pain. So first off, if this happened while she was being walked out to my fiancé why was there no fresh blood? Secondly, they mentioned that this other dog who might have bit my dog was showing signs of aggression & anxiety, but they failed to keep the other dogs safe by separating that dog from the group, which is negligent! To top it all off, Pet Spot’s story didn’t line up with what the vet who treated her at Medvet said could have happened. Medvet completely debunked their story. The vet said that the laceration was too clean cut to be a dog bite & that it was much more likely that her skin was torn by getting caught on something like a fence or faulty equipment. We barely even got an apology from the Pet Spot & we never got answers to what really happened to our girl. They refused to let us view their cameras our tour their facility to see if there was anything she could have got caught on like the vet suggested had actually happened. They were nothing but cold & uncaring. We were stuck paying over $600 for their negligence in this situation. If this wasn’t bad enough, I should also mention that our girl contracted kennel cough & warts on her paws from their facility. Thankfully she’s recovered from all 3 instances, but the vet costs were well over $1000. The Pet Spot is seriously the worst & if had the extra money I’d pursue legal action in a heartbeat. Please if you love your dog, do yourself a favor & never take them here!

My dog Bailey loves going to Pet Spot SO much. She’s not the biggest fan of the car but as soon as she realizes where we are she starts wagging her tail like crazy! We feel so lucky to have Pet Spot. They always make us feel like Bailey is getting the best care possible:)

Unfortunately feel it necessary to leave this review based on recent experiences. I take my dog to daycare at The Pet Spot frequently. Two times ago upon picking him up, they were scrambling to find him, brought out three dogs that weren’t mine and I had to turn them away each dog. They seemed annoyed with ME that they could not find my dog, while I’m standing there frantically panicking on the inside someone else took him home. Eventually a gentleman came out and said “it seems there’s been a mix-up with your dog”, gave me no chance to say anything before he turned around and was headed back to the back. As a pet owner you can imagine this was extremely stressful to hear. Eventually my dog was brought out after I gave very specific appearance details.
The last time I took my dog to day care he was given back to me without a collar for which I had to return for it.
I then had my dog stay overnight while I was on vacation. My biggest fear was him getting sick due to horror stories I’ve heard, because the stay was over a week. However I told myself I was being overdramatic and that they board dogs all the time and they are professionals. Unfortunately my worst nightmare came true. My mom picked my dog up for me and once again no collar. I had to call the facility and they couldn’t find it but eventually tracked it down. Over the next 24 hours my mom noticed he was acting a little off (moving slowly and laying down frequently on walks - not the spunky 3 year old he normally is), however she assumed he was just exhausted from his stay. He was in daycare and overnight boarding… the next day I went to my mom’s to pick him up while she was at work and he didn’t even come up to me - EXTREMELY ABNORMAL to his normal jumps and licks. As I approached him he started peeing, pooping and throwing up all over me. He collapsed in my arms and could barely move. I rushed him to the Care Center in Blue Ash. He continued to pee and puke uncontrollably. Upon arriving he had a fever of 105 degrees and began coughing. After hours in the ER it was deemed he had severe pneumonia. $1200 and hours later he was home on multiple medications.

When I informed The Pet Spot, a manager called me back to ask me how Dobby was doing. I explained what occurred and essentially got an “I’m glad he’s feeling better and I’m sorry he’s sick. ” When I asked about reimbursement for the medical bills because I had paid extra for their stay insurance, I was told it didn’t cover airborne illnesses. They also repeatedly told me I was the only report and that they can’t do anything if it’s only one or two dogs. It’s when it becomes widespread they have to take extra measures. To my confusion, doesn’t any virus start with one or two dogs before becoming widespread? I posted to a Facebook group alerting the surrounding neighborhood and was met with many other horror stories. Additionally, the manager kept talking about how they usually hear about kennel cough and was talking so nonchalantly about how easily that spreads and didn’t act at all concerned. But pneumonia starts as kennel cough and then becomes pneumonia as the bacteria gets stuck in the lungs. The manager also said my dog acted fine in their care and ate all his food. Yet the report card I got stated he did not - this is also abnormal to my quick eater whose always looking for more.

What I know is that I dropped off a perfectly healthy dog, and was given a dog in return that was emergently ill. I suppose I’d expect a facility to do more when this occurs.

Due to too many concerning events recently, we will not return.

I recently boarded my dog, Jarvis while I was out of town. I toured the facility ahead of time so was comfortable with their procedures and felt he would be safe. When I picked him up I could see how he interacted with the staff and the staff shared details with me about his stay that made me feel confident that he received exceptional care while I was away. Thank you so much to all of the staff members and especially Katie for looking after Jarvis like he was your own.

We love The Pet Spot! We send our two pups Cora and Mabel whenever we go out of town. The team cares for our dogs as if they're their own and, honestly, what more could you ask for. They offer many great services from boarding our dogs together if desired, to baths, and playtime. Shout out to Bryan H, especially, who treats every animal as his own - it's clear how much he cares for and loves animals.

My dog Henry keeps asking me if Dustin and some person by the name of Birdi can come over and play. Yes, I highly recommend PetSpot.

Oliver loves going to play at The Per Spot and it makes my heart happy to see him get so excited. It is wonderful when you walk in and are greeted by name and with a smile. I am able to focus on my day at work knowing Oliver is having fun and being well taken care of. He sleeps well after a day at The Pet Spot.

My dog Goose is reactive to other dogs and I am so glad that we have The Pet Spot for when he needs to be boarded. The staff always makes sure he stays in a quieter room away from other dogs and I love that he has the option for individual playtime with the staff to get exercise. He loves to come see his (human) friends at the PetSpot!
