The atmosphere is as way off employees talked half the time I was here with my wife. The service was absolutely terrible, if the food wasn’t good people wouldn’t even come here!

We had a group of 7 with kids. Everyone loved their food. Salads, burgers and kids meals were all great. We had awesome service too! Will happily return.

Just left, love the restaurant but came to leave a review for the amazing server TRAVIS! He was so personable and went above and beyond for great service! He noticed my husband and I were watching jeopardy on one of the tvs and so my husband didn’t need to keep turning his head. He was so nice and had great recommendations for food. Food was amazing and fast! He was on top of it. It was busy and he never let our drinks run out! When leaving I had some left overs he got me a container than packed a to go bag with napkin and silverware! He also got me a Togo cup to bring my iced tea! GIVE TRAVIS A RAISE! He is so sweet! He has new regulars!

My experience in the past have been really good. I went on Father's day and my experience wasn't so pleasant. At least my food wasn't I ask for a medium well burger and everything but. It was dry and very well cook. The waitress ask if I wanted a replacement I said no because I didn't have time. However my Son enjoyed his Chicken Sandwich. I was disappointed that they didn't have the Chipotle Mayo anymore but hey it is what it is. Will I return probably not don't want to waste my hard earned money on a dry Burger.

Unfortunately I was very displeased with my recent visit. The quality of the food has dropped drastically. It was not worth the price I paid for it. Nonetheless, I would have preferred taking my guests to Five Guys instead.

Tables were too close to each other but was decent service. Our server was having lunch with her family at the table next to us. Food was expensive for burgers but still good. Not what I was expecting to pay for 2 people and not being steak. But if you have the money and don't mind mall parking then enjoy.

I came here for the first time a week or so ago to celebrate my birthday with my dad. I'm usually pretty easy to please when it comes to burgers at a bar but I have to say after reading the reviews about this being "gourmet" and "upscale" it was extremely disappointing.

My medium burger was nearly well done and overall rather bland. The bun tasted like the cheap corn syrup buns you can get at any grocery store. My dad didn't finish his burger but I didn't ask him about it because we were too busy wondering why the hand-made tater tots were large dense dough balls.

The server did offer to take off the tater tots when she saw we couldn't eat them and a manager came out to apologize and tell us they were cooked wrong. As for the restaurant itself the decor was very generic (no artwork, sadly) and looked like they went down the road to Hobby Lobby for decorations.

I've tried a lot of gourmet burger places all over the US and the only thing that qualifies The Rail for me as gourmet is their prices ($15-$20+ burgers). I won't say not to give this place a chance because others seem to have enjoyed it based on the reviews but I hate to say I've had a better burger at Wendy's for a third of the cost.

Use to love the burgers. Ordered my burger med rare and it was well done. The skinny fries were under done, not very good for the price. Wish you would bring back the home made chips.

APPLIES TO FAIRLAWN LOCATION ONLYOrdered five burgers for takeout at 7pm on a Saturday. Were told it would be 30 minutes. Waited until 8: 10pm before our food came out! They also forgot the extra onion rings we ordered. Total time sitting at the rail was 45 minutes after food was supposed to be ready. Our family loves the food but have been disappointed with the LONG wait for takeout at the Fairlawn location twice. My wife and I have no issues with where we live (Columbus) and hope the Fairlawn location can improve their takeout system.

You have to love a restaurant that specializes in a few items. This is the place for a great burger

I took small group to dinner a the rail and we all had a good time. The food was solid with numerous burger-centric options. The one challenge is that the space is relatively small and they do not take reservations. The staff works hard to accommodate groups but it could be a challenge.

I hate writing these reviews but the point of these is to share experiences and ours was not even close to good. To start, the workers were so impersonal and unfriendly. On top of it, which is a big no no for me, they were eating right in the open standing at the bar. They were annoyed looking the entire time. We had some kids at our table, as we had family from out of town, and yes, they were acting their age and it was a little frustrating. Part of being in the service industry. As someone who is, I try to help however I can, personally. Next, food was not good. Several things came out wrong and we all had no idea what the point of asking temp for the burgers was because they all came out well done. The buffalo dip tasted nothing like buffalo chicken and she said she would remove it when I was just telling her I wanted her to relay to her manager/kitchen, but we paid for it anyway because she didn’t follow through. Bar drinks were very subpar. Kids meals were all supposed to come with dessert included yet we never got anything (not that they needed it, but it’s the point of the matter). Lastly, they didn’t even wait for us to leave to start dumping the silverware into a pile on the table and banging the dishes around trying to clear it off. Everyone was so inconsiderate and between that and the food, we will not be back. Would not recommend. So much so, I wanted to tell the family of 7 walking in after us to turn around. Hope their experience was better.
One of the worst experiences we’ve had in a while and we go out to eat a ton.

I love the concept behind The Rail and City Square Steakhouse. I appreciate that they use and celebrate local ingredients and companies.but, it has not been up to par on our last two visits or so. The prices are high enough that it should be an elevated taste and it used to be. I had the 7th heaven burger, which is $16. The bun was stale and the whole thing was dry. It is supposed to have truffle butter and red onion jam, so it should not be dry. There was hardly any red onion jam and the burger was small. It should not be small for $16. My husband had a wedge salad and I used his blue cheese dressing on my burger and that helped it. We have been to whiteys burgers and booze, recently, and that burger was so much better. Please bring the quality back.

Great burgers, great beer choices and great service! If you enjoy a place that specializes in burgers, this is your spot! Right by Summit Mall. Go shopping before or after your delicious burger!

I had the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese yesterday it was so good! The server said that you were going to take it off the menu, please don’t because I want to order this every time I eat there!
