The Residence at Turnberry, Pickerington OH

STAY AWAY! Where do I begin.we have lived here for 8 years, the first 6 were great in terms of the management in the office, the apartments were bought by Haven Residential about 2 years ago. Since then the overall care and maintenance of the overall property has declined significantly. We lived in an unrenovated unit, experienced 3 water leaks in our living room over the years, the apartments are very old and need to be completely gutted and fixed from the inside out. The renovated units are the equivalent of lipstick on a pig. The neighbors on either side of me, both with renovated units have experienced leaks in the first month of moving in and the "new" laminate floors in their unit are lifting. We stayed for so long because of the convenience of the location and waiting for my daughter to graduate from high school. Over the last year I witnessed neighborhood kids stealing packages from porches and police coming looking for neighbors. My daughters car as well as our neighbors car have been broken into, in 1 night 3 cars were hit. The property management refuses to do anything such as requesting additional police patrols in the community, she basically told me with live in Pickerington bad things don't happen here. We also have multiple units with 5+ kids living in 2 bedroom units. When the company first took over Sarah was the onsite property manager, she was amazing to work with and great to talk to. Then Rachel Banner was brought in a assistance manager and this is where the nightmares begin. When we resigned our lease in March 2023, she was extremely rude and condescending, when questioning $100 rate increase for an non-renovated unit, no explanation was given. They ultimately reduced it to $50 as a "keying mistake". During the summer we came across Rachel and her friends and family using the community pool after hours. She basically threatening me and I knew at that moment she was going to use whatever "power" she thinks she has to get rid of us. Lies roll off Rachels tongue with such ease and she has no facts to back any of it up. She has chosen to take the side of a neighbor who pulled a gun on another neighbor during an incident on the 4th of July, where multiple police responded to the situation, this is the same neighbor who was protecting the kids who were stealing the packages off the neighbors steps during the summer. As I said we have lived her 8 years, rent always paid on time or early, looked out for my neighbors. In January of this year we received a letter that they were not renewing my lease. Surprise Surprise! When we attempted to turn in our key we waited 3 hours for her to return to the office that was open until 5. She drove passed us and hid in a parking spot for a tenant. She returned to the office at 4: 50 to basically close the office. We also witnessed multiple other tenants walk up and attempt to enter the office. She is never available and when you call the phone number you will always get someone in a call center, she never responds to emails, and reaching out the corporate is impossible, the information found online takes you nowhere. For what they are charging for "renovated" units there are better options out there. Do yourself a favor and drive on by.

Rachel and Jamie made it made it a very pleasant move. Very easy to work with. Very cooperative. Just great people all the way around. Glad we chose this apartment complex to move to

This is a great place to live! The staff is awesome. They take care of this place and always with promptness. Tom is so wonderful at taking care of maintenance. He is very good at what he does and always with a smile. Great place all around!

Bailey the grounds person it so friendly and always smiling while out and about on the community. Always says hello and does a great job

Very disappointed with the switch from Next Level Fitness back to Powershack for our gym membership. Powershack gym is full of meatheads and broken cardio equipment.

Rachel and Sarah were such a big help at Turnberry. I've stayed here over 5 years, they have both gone out of their way, and always remain pleasant. Thank you guys for being awesome!

I moved in May 1 2023. Had to deal with poorly designed gutter over the main entrance roof when it rained water flooded over the gutter like Niagara falls just this past Tuesday, August 22. The contractors came out to install a downspout, which is in the direction of the doorway to the main entrance, which means the water is supposed to run down off the roof where the garage is supposedly into the gutter that’s connected to the garage have yet to see how that’s going to work it hasn’t rained hard enough to see the results, so be that as it may when it did rain, I had to deal with water on the floor in the washroom area. Mind you I moved in on May1 2023 this situation is just now been rectified hopefully! Oh by the way, the frame of the outside door has so much water damage there’s mold out there, as well as the wood is rotting. Now I’m faced with mold in the pantry area, which is closest to the main entrance in the kitchen! I’ve sent emails in the past just here recently my emails are being undelivered.also attached pictures to emails. Wish I could attach them to this review! Four months into being a resident now the baseboards are falling.didn’t wanna have to give this type of review, but apparently I got one of their lemons as an apartment

If i could give this rating a 1000 stars i definitely would! Rachel has made my move in so easy! She’s been so helpful. Not only the community is beautiful but when management is as caring as they are… makes you love it even more! I will definitely be here for a while:) thank you mrs Rachel

We’ve made friends with numerous friendly fellow residents. We appreciate how well maintained the grounds, and outer appearance of each unit, is maintained. Parking can be a challenge. When fellow neighbors park in the alley so close to your garage, it makes in inaccessible at times. It would be nice if speed bumps were in the alleys. Lastly, with the overall well maintained appearance, it would be nice to see each unit using the same trash receptacle, such as the containers from Rumpke, the service provider here. It would eliminate the various bags, etc.which animals can get into and spread trash everywhere.

I've been a resident for about 10 yrs. This new owner seems to actually care about the property & its residents. Office staff is great!

We love our new apartment! It's very spacious, has lots of storage space, and the new appliances and countertops are beautiful. The staff is very helpful and responsive!

Its Home. Me and my kids love living here. The spacious rooms with garage and porch and patio. Just perfect home for us. Very safe and comfortable. Neighbors are friendly. The location is awesome.
Management and Maintenance are very kind and so helpful. I so appreciate them.

I like living TheResidence at Turnberry because it is convenient and if I need something done they do it

Beautiful appartments, Love the new additions to the units, very nice, and clean neighborhood. Local to many restaurants and merchants. And a special shout out to Rachel Banner for all of her wonderful assistance getting me moved in

My family had a similar situation as another recent review. Went in to office to speak about a lease, we spoke with Rachel. She was late to our appointment and began speaking to us inappropriately when we raised concerns. Very unprofessional.

We cannot say enough about Rachel Banner! She was extremely Professional! Helped with the application process, answered all of our questions, gave us a tour of the property and followed up with us on every step of the process! THANK YOU Rachel! YOU are the BEST! Loving our new HOME!

I absolutely love the management staff they are amazing they make this process so easy. They kept me update with the whole process and helped with anything I needed. Rachel is the sweetest and over all best leasing manager I have ever dealt with it. I can't thank her enough.
