The SALON by InStyle Inside JCPenney, Niles OH

Aleigha was prompt, quick but thorough, and did the most amazing job taming my hair that has been growing wild for 2 years. She did what I asked, asked me questions to clarify things I hadn't thought about, and made some great recommendations. I am so happy I lucked into meeting Aleigha so now I can bring my son and daughter as well. I will update or have my teen son write a review from that perspective lol.

I went there before the virus closure and Nina did an awesome job.loved her colors and cuts. I went to find that Nina did not come back after reopening. I was assured that they could do the same.well not. I am so upset.my hair is orangish blond and my cut is a mullet.probably not repairable since my hair is fine and hard to fix a mullet

They are very professional every one is very nice to you and I am very happy that my husband found them I am very happy with the hair salon and they give you the hair style that you want

I went to the Niles salon 1 time and will never return! I asked for a simple fade and scissor cut on top. Well as for the fade, my 1 yr old granddaughter could have blended it better. The scissor cut was equally as horrible! I had to go somewhere else and have another poor woman fix the hack job I received here. Thankfully it was able to be fixed or I would have walked around looking a mess until it grew out. If you can’t do a simple fade you have no business working in a hair salon.

I went in with a few different pictures of things I was tossing around. I have serious anxiety when it comes to my hair. My normal girl I go to is no longer there and I was put with someone else.
She barely even looked at the pictures, didn't grab the book to compare colors and when she came out with only two bowls said she didn't like the other types they had in the back. Even though that was a main color. I wanted an Ombre.that is definitely not what I got and not at all the right colors that I had asked for.
In the middle I asked a question and was told that she has over ten years experience she knows what she's doing.
I still had huge spots with dye still left in my hair when I went home along with dye all along my hair line/forehead and paid more than I usually do when she didn't even style it and only did a trim.
I honestly will probably never go back.

Do not recommend for kids cuts. Every time I take one of my boys they seem annoyed to have to do a kid cut. I said I wanted a scissor cut, she then talked me into clippers but then couldn’t blend my sons hair! My son has never had a haircut using clippers and she was impatient and kept yelling at him to hold still. Never once did she show him what she was using or talk to him besides when she was telling him to hold still (he is 3). Once the top part that was scissored dried, none of it is laying right and it’s just a mess.

First time bringing my boys to Niles JCPenney & will NOT be back I DO NOT Recommend going here. If you CAN NOT DO A SIMPLE boy hair cut high and tight longer on the top you need to GO Back to school. IF YOU CAN NOT USE CLIPPERS AND SHAVE SMOOTH AND EVEN MAKING A FADE YOU SHOULD NOT BE CUTTING HAIR! I had half a mind to go back and tell the younger girl to give my son's tip back SHE HAS NO BUSINESS CUTTING ANYONES HAIR. If you go to this Jcpennys DO NOT LET THE YOUNG GIRL WITH LONG BROWN HAIR TOUCH YOUR HAIR IT WILL BE JACKED UP.

***I WOULD RECOMMEND AUSTINTOWN JCPENNEY I have NEVER BEEN UNHAPPY with getting my hair cut here. Very friendly staff Jennifer does an amazing job love her. I made the mistake of thinking all Jcpennys salons were at the same standards as the one in Austintown and they most definitely are not.
