The Turf Club reviews
21I had the cod sandwich and hubby had the burger with all the fixings, it was great! We heard so much about the halloumi cheese so we tried it on our sandwiches. It didn't melt, a little salty, but it was good. Nice place, we'll be back!
Great food with a cool eclectic vibe. Definitely recommend. The Food Network episode of Diners, drive ins and Dives gives a good picture of what to expect here.
The filet mignon chili and the Guy Go
Fieri burger were absolutely delicious! Friendly and attentive staff too. Really cool vibe with all the neon lights! That's a win, win, and a win!
We were glad to make a return visit to the new Turf Club. Same menu and we saw a lot of the same servers. The outside has changed a lot. All of the signs are gone which I kind missed, but actually makes the place look a lot better. Loved the beautiful hanging baskets. We were welcomed at the door by a very friendly gal. The menu was the same so that made it easy. We both got their delicious burgers. I got fries, my hubby got onion rings. The burgers were so juicy and messy. Yum! It wasn't crowded at all on a Friday. Maybe people don't know it's reopened under new ownership. Saw the owner. He came over and made sure everything was good and it was!
This is a must stop if you are in Cincinnati. Their steak burger is the best! All of the help and the owner are the best. The 4 of us sat at the bar to eat and talked to the owner most of the time. There are neons signs everywhere! Can't wait to go back! They are over an hour away but worth the trip.
A good little place with a lot to offer (except off street parking).
I've heard about this place for over 20 years and kept meaning to check it out and I finally did and am sadden I had not done it sooner. It was cozy without being tight. Everything was good about this place: food, music (loud enough to hear but have to yell over), lighting (mostly neon), atmosphere, wait staff, menu selection and did I mention food? I had the burger which I enjoyed immensely and the onion rings which were a tad greasy but still good. This is now my go-to place to treat myself.
First let me say that the burgers are delicious, there is no saying that they aren't. The only thing is that this is so damn expensive that you end up spending $75 on dinner for two and all you got was a burger and fries with a drink. Everything that you want on your burger is an additional cost. So if you doctor it up, expect an additional $20 in fixings.
First learned of this iconic Cincy burger joint 2 weeks ago. Went there today for the first time with my daughter for Father's Day. It lives up to the hype. The dining room was cool in temp, and warm for atmosphere. The server was friendly and helpful, and my burger was killer. They had a variety of gourmet sauces and toppings and cheeses. Endless flavor combinations to get a high quality burger. Worth my hour drive from Indiana. And worth many more. Well done guys!
One of Cincinnati's best burgers! Burgers are customized where you add each topping or sauce. Lots of different options and SO many sauces to choose from (love the balsamic glaze!). The burgers are large and are cooked medium unless you request something different. Sides are an upcharge, but are reasonably priced. We have been here several times and have enjoyed everything with the exception of the mac and cheese.it tastes powdery to me? Keep in mind the a la cart pricing does add up quickly- our meals average around $20 per person with no drink. It's worth it, though!
Yeah, I can agree, burgers are really good there. All ingredients well made. The bun, the meat is really juicy. Vegetables are well chopped. Good balanced taste.
The only thing I didn't like is an interior. Too much neon lights. The place is overwhelmed with neon. I understand that it is your feature, but don't feel comfortable. Better take "to go" and sit outside.
Great burgers and great service. Everyone was very friendly. Burger was cooked perfectly. Delicious! The dill sauce was great. My favorite was the bbq sauce.
Under new management, I’m so glad this favorite restaurant survived COVID and lives on to continue their unique menu. The service was excellent and the food was as fantastic as always. Get down to Eastern Avenue and see why this restaurant was once feature on Guy’s Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. Yum!
We couldn't decide what to get, so we got a bit of everything - burger with goat cheese, fish taco burrito thing, the (must-get) deviled eggs with shrimp, and the grilled chicken sandwich. None disappointed. It was GREAT. My girlfriend wasn't excited about going tonight as it wasn't her type of food, but she happily said she'll be back! The long island iced teas are great too. Much luck to Tom, the new owner, as this great business, building, and atmosphere navigates through these tough pandemic times. May they soon pass and may this great business thrive.
I had the filet burger. Very good. It was HUGE. I had to cut it in half in order to eat it. Waitress and staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Very small, but mountains of options for sandwiches, burgers and their toppings. Fun atmosphere, old style signs, antique coolers, and just an air of fun. Burgers are massive, with sides of fries, or mac/cheese, rings. All awesome. Get your seats early as there are maybe a dozen tables inside.
Lets see: Mouth-watering burgers, mind-boggling array of sauces and toppings to add to them. Take this and put it in a cozy spot where the sole illumination comes from over 40 neon signs. You: ve arrived. This is Burger Heaven.
It is as they describe it.a quirky little burger joint full of neon. Customer service was top notch! Food was tasty and lots of ways to customize! Not convinced that my ground filet mignon bacon burger and fries was really worth $21 but I was satisfied with my meal along with every one else around the table.
The sandwiches are large and delicious! I love the number of options provided to customize your burger perfectly! Also, their onion rings are the best that I have found in the area! I highly recommend them!
This was my first visit to Terry's since moving back to the area.
Most menu items are pretty tasty. Although, I would have preferred my BLT sandwich with the traditional bread, instead of a hamburger bun. I am assuming the bread change is an attempt to add a creative twist to the sandwich. Creative thinking I can appreciate, the sandwich, not so much.
What really drove me to leave this review is the carelessness shown by the young woman who provided us curb-side service.
Regardless of whether you believe a face mask decreases the risk of transferring microbes from one person to another (which, how could you not if you understand science. Seriously, put your hand in front of your mouth and nose, feel any moisture when you breath and talk? Now, put a mask on and do the same. Feel a difference? If you can't, I suggest you see a neurologist), if you choose to work at a facility that has been ordered to require employees to wear a mask during customer interaction, why would you put the business at risk for customer confrontation or possible violation consequences because you don't feel like pulling a piece of material over your mouth and nose for a few minutes.
Assuming you were very aware that your mask was not pulled over your mouth or nose as you spoke directly into our vehicle, I have a few questions:
If your reasoning for not wearing a mask falls under freedom infringement.
Do you have a driver's license and/or car insurance, or ensure that you follow the many other laws set forth by the government? I assume so, and I assume you do these things without serious claim that your freedoms are being infringed upon, but for some reason, wearing a mask that could possibly save someone from an early painful death is just too much. You do understand that you could be a carrier, but see no symptoms, then pass it on to someone who's immune system may not be able to handle the exposure, correct?
If you're reasoning is because you don't believe in science.
Please refer to the experiment suggestion explained above and please take time to educate yourself further and consider possibilities that exist outside of your social circle.
Here's to a healthy and happy 2021 for us all. May we all consider the greatest good in everything we do.
Burgers and the feeling here is excellent. Visited near twelve, it was not full. I've had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back. The place has a great feel to it. I see why this place has a lot of positive reviews.
