10My husband needed to send extremely important immigration papers for his career at the hospital and for him to reside here as my husband and father our daughter. The person who was serving him incorrectly put the address in the system and REFUSED to fix it and almost sent these vital documents to God who knows where! He also put the papers in a huge envelope which was very inappropriate for these papers, it was obvious. He purposely raised the price to $60 and he refused to fix these issues. He was rude and had zero interest in giving any decent service to my husband as a customer! My husband didn’t catch his name but he is a black male. He almost seriously screwed up our lives by sending these vital documents to a different address! My husband would have lost his position at the hospital and he would have been in serious legal trouble, being deported and forced to leave me and our daughter and out $800 for these legal papers! This was a completely unprofessional and outrageous experience. Shame on the manager, there just laughing with the others and not caring that he has an employee who should NOT be working there. We will NEVER be going here again and shame on this person for their rude, arrogant, and lazy attitude!
I'd give ZERO stars if I could. I had an oversized item I needed returned to Amazon. They (amazon) issued me the return label and arranged a pickup, but I missed the driver when he came to my house. Since I wasn't sure if I could drop this off due to the length, I called the UPS store in Rocky River, OH. The woman on the phone was like, sure bring it in. I told her it was a large item, and she said fine.
So, I show up, and when I bring it in the store, employees were extremely rude and unhelpful. The girl behind the counter was apparently a mute because she just stood there looking stupid. Another employee came over, and was mumbling some obscenities, saying Jesus C**** and other things I didn't quite catch. He said, oh no, that's much too large. We can't take that. Next time, call ahead (I did call beforehand). He told me I could take it to the local UPS center. I made a trip there, and wasted another hour of my life because they said they couldn't take it, either (it was over 8 ft). Guess all the tractor trailers parked there are just for show.
I guess this is the norm post-covid, or maybe the people working for UPS were always incompetent, rude imbeciles. Then again, when I see them deliver stuff to my porch, they're usually too lazy to even walk up three steps. So, not surprised. Extremely poor customer service.
This review is for the store at 19885 Detroit Rd, Rocky River, OH 44116, but TBH, everyone I dealt with from UPS today seemed to be on the lower end of the IQ Bell curve.
I’m an amateur potter and I send my handmade pottery to customers using the Rocky River UPS. Jake is the Picasso of packaging! Not only have none of my handmade pieces broken, but my customers often rave about how lovely the packaging is when they receive their orders! Highly recommend, they do a great job! What? No printer? No problem! I don't have a printer. Needed to return some Temu items. Jake helped me without any hesitation. I've always found this UPS Rocky River store to be the best. Everyone there is so helpful! Thank you Jake for yesterday.
Update! I went again yesterday. Same absolutely wonderful service by Jake. Consistent excellent service. You guys keep up the good work!

The head of the store repackaged my item to make it more secure for shipping and did not charge me for the new packaging. Super helpful and nice
Manufacturer and their online retailer said that the package was fine to ship as-is and provided a label. The man behind the counter made me pay for additional cardboard before they would take it. $20 for cardboard I didn't need! He then made me do all of the additional packaging by myself and made comments while he watched me struggle when there were no other customers in the store to witness his verbal abuse.
I work in a skilled assisted living facility and give my 110% to the residents. This guy (who likely gets paid more than me for much, much less) didn't even lift a finger to help me when I needed assistance. Terrible, mentally scarring experience. Never going to this UPS location again.
My company goes out of their way to use this store! Between the automatic door and the great staff that are so helpful, especially Jake who has gone above and beyond to make the process efficient and friendly.
