The View on Pavey Square, Columbus OH

Our son is currently renting here and we are so disappointed with problems that we are having with the utility billing. My husband has contacted the office multiple times and each time we are told that they are “working on it”. Something that should be an easy fix has turned into months of frustration. On top of this, the gift card that was promised at the beginning of the lease this past August still has not been honored - we have been told on numerous occasions that they will be disbursed but we have yet to see anything yet. Based on the issues that we have been experiencing, we do not recommend The View on Pavey Square at all and will be happy when this lease is finished. Management really needs to get their act together, absolutely ridiculous and poor customer service.

I love it here! Becky has been nothing short of amazing when it comes to making sure I am always happy and that everything is up to par in my unit.

I could go on and on about the numerous violations The View on Pavey Square commits on a daily basis, but I have spent too much time trying to figure things out so I’d rather not waste my time typing about this dump. Please stay away from moving in here. There are so many better options with real management teams that actually execute their jobs properly. I seriously can’t believe this place has lasted this long, hopefully people will start coming to their senses so this place has to change.

The staff members are worse than RA in dorm. Can’t believe have to spend 1000 a month here.

This is single-handedly the most careless and unaccountable management team I have ever worked with. If you are looking to live here, it is important to know upfront that your requests will never be acknowledged. If you call The View on Pavey Square to ask a question, they will simply refer you to an email address that is poorly, if at all, managed by the staff. If you go in-person to address concerns, you will be greeted by a student worker (who unfortunately will be improperly trained and will have to face the brunt of furious parents). When you ask a student worker if you can talk to one of their managers, they will say that their higher-ups are in a meeting or busy. We've all worked before, and as a result, we've all had our bosses tell us the exact same thing when they are not in the mood to deal with people. This is pretty ironic to me considering that the management of this building signed up for a people-facing role, but they always seem to be behind closed doors when you need to take care of something urgent. You really have to push the management if you want something done, which is outrageous considering the prices being charged for rent at this building. Who has the time to follow-up their own emails 3+ times to *maybe* get a response? Who has the time to put their rent in escrow or file a lawsuit when the building is described to be "off-campus living at its finest"?

I get that people are busy and that the staff may take 24-48 hours to send out a response regarding my questions/concerns. However, I have a problem that should imminently be resolved (I have been overcharged rent for the past 2 months), but has not been addressed since my first email was sent 17 days ago. Although I'm being overcharged $65 a month (which isn't too bad when looking at it in installments), this equates to $780 per year. In the grand scheme of things, a company should not have this lax of a policy when there's nearly $1,000 on the table. Living in this building truly feels like you're just arguing with a wall. On top of this, on the rare occasion that you do receive a response, no accountability is taken on behalf of the management. Over the summer, I had an issue that I needed addressed, and I was sadly forced to send a harsh email so that I would be heard. In management's response, they stated that they have tried to get ahold of me for several days. However, according to my call logs (which are obviously valid), they had called me a single time 2 hours before they sent me the email response mentioned above. You would think that for how much residents pay and for how serious many of these issues are, the staff would treat you with some respect. However, I'd urge you to not expect that upon signing a lease for this building.

Despite how well you are treated when taking a tour of this building, please take it with a grain of salt and know that the inconveniences listed above are what you'll most likely be dealing with if you choose to live in The View on Pavey Square. I've really tried to have a positive attitude about living here, but it's come to the point where it's just not possible anymore.

Worst apartment ever, you will never get what they showed you. Missing furniture? Guess what, they don’t even care your request. All the thing that the office done on time is collect rent.

I love living here! Rebecca is the best at answering questions and helping with anything I need. The maintenance staff is also very responsive at fixing problems. Highly recommend!

Has to be the worse student living around the campus. Wifi goes out literally every single month. If you like fire alarm, this is your spot! 8am, 5pm, 3am, 4 times a day, 7 days a week. If you cook, it will go off.

Internet outage keep happening and continuing for days. Half the bedroom in a 4 bedroom unit have no window. A few people in the lease office is rude and will comment on the amount of package you have. Consider the price it’s ridiculous.

Loved working with the staff at The View on Pavey Square. Alexander was so helpful when it came to answering any questions I had in regards to units, location, and pricing! Very easy process and amazing property!

They charge $100 a month for parking in the Klaus parking garage. Then they have the audacity to tell you to park somewhere else when its not working and won’t make any accommodation.

Amazing experience living here! One of the only locations near OSU campus that offers large luxury 1 bedroom floor plans. Within walking distance of high street's main attractions but not in earshot when things get loud. Front office is extremely helpful and kind. Large parking spots offered with easy access to the highway. Top of the line apartment for OSU students.

I live at the View on Pavey Square and am very dissatisfied with their service. I have had so many inconveniences since I’ve been here. First they said water would be out for 4 hours which ended up being all morning. More importantly we did not have internet for more than 4 days! No accommodations were made to help us out. Even beyond that, the internet is not good quality whatsoever and it’s such a pain to take interviews or important meetings in a room that I’m paying such a high price for. The AC in my unit consistently stops working and no effort has been made to fix it for the long term.
