Paid Dave 50% deposit on a job almost 6 months ago - he still hasn't started. I requested refund of money, but no answer from him. I understand if he got busy, health issues, etc. - I just expect him to call me back to discuss resolution. I will not do business or recommend Third Generation at this time.

BUYER BEWARE. The owner, David Lowe, made us think he would do a great job. We were fooled by his salesmanship. 1) There are several low spots in the driveway, which results in puddles when it rains and dangerous ice in the winter when it freezes. 2) He did not grade the new sidewalk to our existing back patio, which created a 2-inch step, and thus a tripping hazard, where the sidewalk meets the patio. 3) One of the new sidewalks is missing a finished 2-inch border. When we pointed this out, he replied “I was not in the back when my new concrete finisher was back there. ” He refused to correct the matter. 4) Our siding and exterior doors were splattered with concrete, which eventually hardened, and will not come off. He was careless and did not cover the lower side of the house/garage with plastic before pouring the concrete. 5) David kept his equipment in our garage throughout the job. He finished up on a Thursday, then texted us Saturday morning and said he was coming over to retrieve his equipment, without any advanced notice. We were on our way to Columbus to visit family, and said we would be back the next day, and could open the garage for him then. He proceeded to call our local police and accused us of holding his tools hostage. At this point, we granted the police access into our garage to avoid further disturbance. Overall, we had a horrible experience with this company.

Dave sent messages saying that my family was “evil” because they were asking him to come finish the job that he overcharged and pressured my family for more money. Unresponsive and unprofessional. Highly recommend against this company.

After being paid in full, the contractor disappeared and never finished the job he promised.
