T.J. Maxx reviews
7I was not impressed with the quality of products for the price around Christmas time. The chess set had damaged pieces and the sports apparel was substandard for the price. It did seem that this may be only the Christmas items they had in stock and not the regular merchandise. Besides that it has many functional home decor items that may be worth a visit if you're looking to decorate a room.
Love this store! Got Coach purse for 60$, tons of bath stuff, clothes designer brand. Has tap to pay absolutely my favorite store now
The store was a mess, clothes were in places they shouldn't have been. I was looking at sunglasses and felt drops of water on me. The roof was leaking and all the staff done was put totes where the water was comin in. The jewelry was wet, the sunglasses. Then only 2 cashiers working, had to wait in line for almost an hour. It was ridiculous. That store compared to Newarks is unbelievable.
Having it at the mall makes it a good location but it is crowded, could hardly pass two carts in the aisles. Also some of the front end employees weren't very friendly. Made the Columbus stores look good.
Terrible customer service. We tried to use a coupon at the counter and were lied to about the reason why our coupon wasn’t registered in system. The store also lied to us saying the number online was too late to call and wouldn’t let us call while we were in the store. I went home and called and learned the online customer service is 24/7 and the reason for my coupon not working was totally different from the bizarre story the manager made up. It’s one thing if they didn’t know and just admitted so; but lying to customers just to get rid of them is not ok.
Staff is always super friendly and helpful. The store is always neat and clean as well.
I bought jeans and after a week the belt buckle broke. I only wore them once and was expecting to keep them until the belt buckle broke. I tried to return them with my receipt but was told I couldn’t because I didn’t have the tags for the jeans. I have never heard of that before from any other retail store. I used to work in retail and not once was that an issue if the customer did not have the tags for a clothing item as long as they had the receipt. I guess next time I will keep everything for 30 days just in case the item ends up being defective. Hope this helps others.
