Restaurant TLV reviews
17Food is okay. I worked here last year, roaches everywhere, all the tips go straight into the owners pocket. Be careful eating here.
Very rude. Owner acts entitled and treats people who patronize his establishment as if they are lesser than him. Won't be going back. Don't recommend.
Owner is very rude. Overall poor experience. Won't be going back. Maybe learn how to treat those who support you.
I really don’t know what happened to this place. The reviews and photos looked great, and we were so excited to have to international food, especially in Marietta! Sadly, the service and atmosphere of the place was truly unlike anything I’ve seen before, and not in a good sense.
The front seating area was filled with random items, with no actual open seating. We sat in the uncomfortable benches in the other room instead, except this room had been converted into some kind of political campaign area? Again, there was very little seating. The worst of all, though, was when a confused-looking man walked up to us, threw our menus on the table, and said something like “there.hmxhxnsmsh. ” and walked away. He pushed our uneasiness a bit too far and we decided to walk out. The staff and owner didn’t ask any questions, just watched us walk away.
Again, I don’t want to give a poor review without trying the food, but the experience was truly awful. Don’t know what’s going on, but I hope things get better! Thanks.
Everything I have ever ordered here has been phenomenal, great service, and the owner is super friendly. You can tell everything is homemade with great ingredients. The chicken curry is my personal fav!
Incredible food. Nice vibe inside. Very great, kind staff who seem truly happy to be there. Can’t beat it
The seating is extremely uncomfortable. The food was brought out as it was prepared (which our waitress told us would happen) which is not ideal for a group wanting to eat together. 1 of the dishes that we ordered was great, the rest mediocre to horrible. Service was poor, they seemed severely understaffed. When we went to pay, the person cooking in the kitchen was yelling and swearing at the waitstaff in full view and earshot of the customers. Won't be back.
Great to have Israeli/Mediterranean food in Marietta. Pleasant surprise. They also have lots of int'l dishes.
We ordered a variety of foods, breakfast bagel with lox (loved it) ; the brisket melted it was so tender, skewered chicken and toubuleh excellent, fried rice balls with cheese added nice crunch! A culinary gem in Marietta!
Was passing through the area and stopped here. The Owner is super sweet and the food is amazing.
Certainly not a chain, nice owner operated fun place to eat, i had empanadas and loved them
Delicious food in a very comfortable and relaxing environment, everyone was really friendly
We 4 girls were on an Ohio trip and enjoyed the Marietta Festival. TLV was the perfect place to eat! Great food, friendly, many choices of food and desserts! Ambiance was outstanding!
Due to the ratings we drove 1.5 hours for Mediterranean food. First, the seating is horrible. They are couches that are sunk in. You cannot reach the table unless you set directly on the edge. The falafel we ordered was way over cooked. The tabouleh was almost all burgul and hardly no parsley. The ration of that should be opposite of what it was. The pepperoni roll had raw dough in the middle. The chicken kabobs were ok but the beef ones were over cooked. The only thing that was good was the baklava that we took to go.
Friendly family dining. Great taste of many countries, all to be tried in this one awesome space. Ages 70 to 10 were dining and enjoyed. Thank you TLV.
Amazing food and restaurant with fantastic service. Finding an authentic Israeli restaurant in South Ohio was something that was a pleasant surprise. Imagine my surprise seeing babka, challah, Shawarma and delicious Hummus. I'd 100% recommend this place for anyone and for any Jewish people like myself passing on through.
